These wore great, right out of the box, no break-in needed. I bought one half size larger to accommodate thicker hiking socks. Very light weight.

This Wisconsin winter is the worst, but my boots are amazing! I hiked all the time and my boot are so comfortable, snug and warm! Excellent job, Columbia!

These boots are very flexible,lightweight, and warm! They are truly waterproof and are great for hiking in snow. The fit is great, but I did have some rubbing on the upper part of my big toe. Not enough to say they aren't comfortable, and overall, they really are a great fit.

I love these boots. They are very light but very warm. I live in snow country and have worn them several times already to snow blow in some very cold temps but my feet stay toasty warm. They are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I highly recommend them.

These shoes are working out great for me and I plan to buy a second pair. Have worn them on several hikes. They're just the right amount of flexible and cushion, good grip and protection on rocks and roots, light weight, and most important, roomy enough at the ball of my foot and toes to allow my feet to spread on impact, which keens and Merrells generally don't. I did not get the wide. The normal width is working fine for me, even with a bunion. I was also worried about the toe crease when I first got these, but they softened up almost immediately and it became a non-issue right away. Columbia seems to be making better and better shoes. I hope they keep it up. We need another contender for those of us who like the concept of keens and Merrells but don't find the fit or comfort to be quite right. Looking forward to new designs from them in the future.

My Newton Ridge Plus hiking boots arrived this morning and they are fitting perfectly and comfortable. I have the predecessor to the Newton Ridge Plus, the Newton Ridge 2, and I love them! They're amazingly comfortable on long hikes. I wear them when camping and hunting as well. I've been wearing/walking around in the new boots for over an hour now and I'm not seeing any problem with creasing around the toe area of the boots as others have reported. The boots are true to size for me; I ordered my size and they fit perfectly. The Newton Ridge Plus boots provide the same great ankle support as my Newton Ridge 2 boots, which helps a lot on rough terrain and rocky surfaces. My only complaint with the Newton Ridge Plus boots is that they don't have the pulls on the back of the shaft to help pull up the boots when putting them on. My Newton Ridge 2 boots have these pulls and they make pulling on the boots a little easier. I've had very good luck with the Newton Ridge boots and would definitely buy them again. Great shoes, very comfortable, no need to break them in first, as I had with other shoes. Highly recommended.

Just what I had hoped for for the price. I have a dirty job as a textiles artist, and need something that dripping things will not penetrate. Most shoes today are made from material that provides nice ventilation and there fore providing no protection from moisture. The Columbia BuggaBoo has been my go to shoe for years, but they are only made with linings for wear in the winter, and they get hot hot hot in a Georgia Summer. for the price, they are what I expected - a little light on arch support and cushion... but cheap enough to buy insoles.

They are good light hiking boots. Don't hike on rocky mountain too much with them though. The rubber on the toe area doesn't cover all around like the heavy hiking boots. So I don't want to ruin these stylish boots by bumping them on rocks too much. I've worn them for easy trail hiking and they have been not disappointing. Did need 1 or 2 wear to break in. Tilted toe box didn't bother me.

Wore these for the first time for a short hike just to get the feel. They are great!

These shoes are exactly what I needed for a job I have working outdoors. I often have to stand and walk for long hours, sometimes in the rain and on slippery surfaces. These hiking boots hold their shape and support over time and seem to provide good traction. Lastly, they maintain their neat appearance and so far I am enjoying the comfort they offer without looking like orthopedics.

Great, comfy hikers at a great price. Look great and love the fact that they are all leather. Great traction on slick surfaces.

A great boot but just a tad tight across my foot with a semi-thick sock. Not a winter sock by any means. Sent back.

On first wear this boot was comfortable and was waterproof. The gusset on the tongue could be higher. Worried in a downpour that there might be leaking. Moderate cushioning. Fine for park or street walk. Didn’t feel it was sturdy enough for me for rugged terrain. They will be good for warmer weather. Feet did not feel hot in these boots.

This shoe was simply not a good fit for my arthritic ankle. I think it would be a comfortable shoes for most people.
