After reading the reviews, I decided to go 1/2 size up from my normal size and I feel like it was a great choice! I did feel the material bending into the top of my foot the first few times but it went away after the leather softened. I can't get over how light they are! They are very comfortable and I love the grey color! I wear them daily, as long as there isn't too much snow outside :)

I bought these boots because living in the Sierra Mountains requires warm and waterproof footwear. These are perfect! I do a lot of walking, hiking, rock hounding and ATVing and these boots have passed every test! They fit right out of the box, no breaking in needed.

These boots were not hot in mid summer in Florida and that is saying something! Very comfortable from the first wear, but I use orthaheel insoles. Not as much toe room as my Merrells but adequate. I love them. I am a letter carrier.

I love these boots! I was looking for an all terrain, all season hiking boot for walking on and off trail/path with my very exuberant dog. It was important that they be comfortable, support from twisting ankles on rocky surfaces and water proof. These boots fit the bill perfectly! I got them 5 days ago and have only taken them off to go to bed. But here's a puzzle, I had ordered a size 7 (my right foot being larger than my left) but while lacing-up yesterday I noticed the boot read size 6.5! I'm not sure what that means in the way of giving you advise on sizing but they fit like a glove on both feet. Zappos' mistake was to my benefit I guess.

Love love love these boots!! Fit is perfect and I find myself hating to take them off. Just returned
from a trip to Maine and they were perfect for all the hikes we took. Since they are waterproof I am also looking forward to wearing them this winter as well. Highly recommend!!

I work with sled dogs. I hike, bike, and play a lot in the great outdoors. These boots are incredibly versatile and well worth the investment. They are even good in the wet Alaskan weather that we have kept my feet dry even in the wettest of conditions. When worn with a pair of thick thermal socks, your feet will stay warm but never get too warm.
I've already ordered a second set.

Fits and feels like a glove! I also like that it gives lots of support on the sides but has a gentle u shape in the back of the ankle to further support but not rub. The soles have very comfortable padding and good traction. I wore these in the summer on trail and light brush with hiking socks and they kept my feet fairly cool. I will definitely be getting a second pair!

I've been trying to find a replacement for another pair of Columbias that I have worn for years - and many, many miles. This pair does it. They are comfortable, pretty cool on hot days even with heavy socks. and waterproof. First time in years at Scout Camp that I didn't think about my feet! Even after 12 hours. Recommend getting a1/2 to full size larger than street shoe size but that's wise with most hiking boots so you can accommodate heavier socks. I love how the treads do not hang onto clumps of mud (doesn't track into the car)

I just purchased my 2nd pair of the Newton Ridge hiking boots. The first pair were so comfy I wore them most of the time. These boots are durable, comfortable, great traction & ankle support, waterproof uppers, easy to clean and care for. I have worn these in the city, hiking in the Smokey's to around the farm, just a great boot!

I bought these boots for work. I work outside in south Florida so it's really important for me to have boots that are durable, lightweight and water proof. These boots cover all three of those requirements. I have a slightly wider foot and these boots are roomy and comfortable. They also have excellent traction and ankle support. Overall great boot!

I like these a lot. I got the grey ones about three weeks ago and have probably worn them four days out of each week since. I wear them with my flared jeans and also my flared Lululemons. My boyfriend made a comment that they are a little masculine for me, but I think that they are cute and a fun alternative to casual boots or sneakers. They were very comfortable from day one. I also got a pair of red laces on Amazon to swap out in case that would look better than the blue.

I rarely write reviews about products, but these boots deserve a great review! I did conservation corps, and built trails for an entire summer and wore these boots, out of the entire crew I was the only one who did not get blisters! My feet stayed dry, which is a must when camping for long periods of time! The next summer, I climbed five 14ers in CO, and they were still in pretty good condition! I just bought my second pair which is pretty good considering that I spent two summers almost continuously wearing these boots! Good socks are a must to accompany these great boots!

Great! That's all and nothing else. My wife first bought a pair last fall and literally wear the sides out of them climbing the hills and dales. Columbia did not have them on their on web site. I called customer service and they referred me to Zappos site. That's great customer service. And the wide is wide. Great shoe.
