Very good hiking boots. I would recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and durable hiking footwear.

I did not need to break this shoe in. It however runs true to size, and I expected it to run small and ordered a larger size initially. I had to return and reorder the smaller size. It runs exactly true to size for people with wider feet, and use the dimensions from the size chart seriously!

I love these boots. I find they fit and feel like good quality tennis shoes. I have 3 pairs because they fit well and are comfortable and wear much better than tennis shoes. I should mention though as someone else pointed out, if you do not use the top lace guides push them closed with pliers!! This is very important!! I also was tripped by the loop of the lace on the right foot catching in the eye on the inside of the left boot. (I do not use the top lace guides) I slip my feet into my boots without lacing each time so I have them loose at the ankle. I do not need the ankle support, but I like that they are tall for keeping water out of the boot and ankle protection. I waterproof them with silicone to protect them and they have always kept my feet dry in wet environments. I have a pair of 7.5 to wear with light weight socks in the summer. That is what size I wear in tennis shoes. I also have a pair of 8.5 to wear with medium socks. I recently bought a pair of 9's to wear with really heavy socks. I do replace the stock insoles with more padded ones and they fit fine. I have somewhat wide feet and often purchase wide shoes, but the regular width on these fits me fine.

I purchased these in the grey color at DSW this summer in preparation for winter in Oregon. They were advertised as waterproof and now that it's November I can tell youthey certainly are!! I do not plan to hike in them; I wear them to work (at my desk!), to the store, to walk the dog, etc. When I get home from work in the late afternoon I truly do not want to take them off. They are the perfect combination of sturdiness and cushy-comfort. They do not bother my ankles like some boots can and the soles are solid in wet weather and provide me with the support I need after a knee replacement. I have wider than normal feet although I don't normally purchase wide shoes - I did NOT purchase a wide in this boot. I have plenty of room with a Nike running sock. I normally wear a 9 however I purchased a 9.5 in these so I could add a thicker sock and still have room for my toes to move. A lot of times a 9.5 makes me feel like I have too much room in the toe and I stumble but that is not the case. I absolutely LOVE these boots. I am certain if you were a hiker they would be your favorite new boot.

This is the best hiking boot I've ever bought! True to size and lightweight I love these boots. Looking forward to a few feet of snow to try the tread out on, from the looks of said tread I think I'll stay upright.

I really love these boot, true to size and comfortable.

Not a difficult or painful break-in period. Could use a little more arch support. I'll have to replace the laces soon because these just don't agree with the eyelets and are fraying within about a month of daily wear. Surprised at how quickly the leather dries, but that full mesh tongue isn't a lot of protection from dumping water on your foot as I seem to do so often! Overall I really like this boot!

Love my boots so comfortable never by bootleg the quality of these are 100 percent then buyinh from kohls or marshalls not the same love love love my boots

This is my second pair of these boots. I bought a pair used and loved them. They are comfortable and true to size. I appreciate that the insole is easily removable because I wear custom orthotics. These boots are light weight and perfect for light hiking.

Fits perfectly and are very comfortable. Great traction for hiking.

I have had these for about a year, I had difficulty finding comfortable wide hiking boots. I wore them almost daily working at a summer camp, and they have climbed mountains with me as well as played a lot of frisbee. They are very comfortable, molded to my foot, and keep my feet completely dry. Like bone dry, even through mud puddles and creek beds. And they're cute enough to wear to do errands! I usually wear an 8.5 or 9; I have 9s that fit but someone with more narrow feet could probably size down a half size.

Size runs larger. Lightweight. Love colors. I use support arc insole.

Comfy boots, not heavy at all and also my feet doesn't felt sweety either.

Purchased Black/Poppy Red and could not be happier. Cute and comfortable right out of the box. No issue with toe pinch as some others have mentioned. I'm 5' 11", 145 Lbs. women's size 10.5/11 shoe. These boots are true to size and have enough wiggle room to wear heavy socks in winter. You know what they say about women with big feet?... they can't find cool, cute shoes that fit and wind up wearing clunky men's shoes. Columbia keeping us big girls in mind. :)
