I love the look of this backpack. However it doesn't have a place to store the waist straps like the older version of this backpack. For someone who's mainly using this backpack for college, the waist straps aren't necessary, and look funny just dangling. Other than wishing it had pockets to stuff the waist straps into, I would recommend this backpack to anyone for any use.

I bought this bag to use as a carry-on and I love it. It holds everything I need on the plane without being to bulky. I also use it for short trips visiting family. It's a great all around bag!

This is great to get back and forth from work on a bike with a laptop and all necessary items to hit the gym as well. Plenty of room, protective pocket for computer, comfortable to wear while walking or cycling. Also used as a carry on for travel to hold electronics, day use of clothes and accessories and everything is easy access. Ready to try it out for hiking and outdoor day use.

I use this backpack for school as well as traveling! It is very comfortable and durable! It holds all my supplies, books and my computer!

To expensive

I love all the north face products. They are always very well made and wash well. Best product on the market.

Love this pack only thing is what I mentioned earlier I wish the water bottle holders had straps to ensure added security that items or bottles won't fall out. And they also seem a little tight for a bigger size bottle. Besides that everything is great. Love the color even better in person. Zippers fine. Great space. Stylish yet very comfort and funtion driven! Thanks

I am planning to use this backpack for school this year. I love the colors (I got the black and ice blue) but the shape did feel odd on my back. I put my laptop in though and it seems fine. I have had north face backpack for years and they are amazing. My old one lasted me all four years of high school and is still in great condition!

This was a gift and the student I purchased it for seems to be happy with this backpack. She chose this particular backpack after looking at a variety of choices. She hasn't used it yet, but is pleased with the gift.

I really loved the quality of this backpack. It more for hiking or adventures than average school but still great. My only complaint was the blue in the picture looked much brighter and when I received it, it looked more white. Still a great quality backpack though!

I mostly use this backpack for school but I'm in medical school, so as you could imagine - I have a lot of things to carry. I love all the pockets and the laptop sleeve helps assure my laptop is protected. My only complaint is that it's a bit stiffer than I'd prefer but I'm still only a couple weeks in. I'm looking forward to traveling with it in the near future, the backpack feels very durable. Also, I'm a bit of an outdoors type and living in Colorado - I'm sure to make this backpack more versatile than I intended. Overall, I love the product and feel I won't need to purchase another backpack for anything in quite a long time! This will last me for the next few years, I'm sure!

I've been using the same north face backpack for the past 7 years, and I've felt it's time for a switch, I love this one just as much, great quality!

I really enjoy the many great aspects of this product. The attention to detail is appreciated on features such as the cushioning, style, reflectors, whistle, fleece lining and so on. My only complaint is that the back can feel stiff. I have lower back issues and the (although necessary) hard backing for the laptop holder can irritate my back after wearing it. I wish there was another way to have a softer protective later for my laptop without effecting the curvature of the back. Over all great product!

I use this backpack for school. It is a great design, size, and fits my frame nicely. I would buy this again in a different color.

I really love this backpack! I am a super organized person and all the pockets works amazingly! The only part I didn't love about it was the price. It is kind of expensive but I guess worth the money. Overall I'm very happy with it. It is great for all my school stuff and really comfy too!

I predominantly use this product for work. I work in an office setting and need to carry my laptop, paperwork, and other office items daily. One of the reasons I picked Northface is their quality and durability. This particular backpack had a good feel especially in the shoulder area and felt very comfortable. My only recommendation would be for the bottom to be more flat so the backpack sits on the bottom part (there is a panel that extends a little past the bottom so when you sit the backpack down, it tilts over). However, that extension appears to be comfort/ergo related for when the backpack is on a person's back so that's fine.

Overall, I love the sleek look and design of the backpack, but the pockets were much too small for me to use this on continuous travel. It only fits one outfit without much room for makeup or any other essentials I would need for a night trip.

school and travel

I bought this for an every day commuting bag to mostly put my workout gear in. I used to use a cross-body duffle, but it was beginning to pull on my collarbone. This bag is a great way to carry my heavy gear with easy weight distribution and comfortable straps. It's also great for carrying my work laptop back and forth.

I have used this pack with my 15" laptop, some accessories and a large lunchpack for a total load of about 9 kg in the morning and it has been doing it very well for last two years. The size is perfect for me and the different pockets make it easy to give items an own place. It is very adjustable, stays well in place and is thus very comfortable while walking and pretty good when biking. The mesh water-bottle pockets could have been deeper and tighter, I have lost my bottle more than once. The hip belt is worthless for me (more like a belly belt with my 1m85) but it stows away nicely and I don't need it. Bottom laptop padding is excellent but one of the top corners is really exposed when carrying a 15". Waterproofness is not as good as I'd like: I do go out when it pours and although it doesn't soak, it does get damp inside. I got myself a rain cover, it is not included. I might sound critical but I do love the pack, especially because of its comfort and practicality.

I used this backpack for a service trip to Peru, and it worked well! It got dirty fairly easily and quickly, though.

I use this pack for my every day needs; laptop, gym clothes, food and files. I am a professional traveler and when I am home I visit different locations to provide individual psychotherapy. Essentially, this is my office on my back and my personal item for my flights. Roomy, comfortable, love the sternum strap (I believe that is what the top strap is called) and the waist strap as this helps shift the weight off of my shoulders and makes it easier to carry heavy items for longer periods of time. I'll be using this next month for some hiking in Northern California. I think I'll love it as I'll put swimwear/ towel, food and drinks in it. Speaking of drinks...LOVE the deep pockets on the side for my bottles and coffee mugs. Haven't had one spill yet. I think all backpacks need that deep side pocket.

I use this for school and trips. Great size and very cute! Color wasn't quite what expected.
