My torso is too short for it, there is a to much room at the top.

I love this backpack!! It is a lot better than the backpack I had before and a lot more durable. I also loved the variety of colors to choose from.

I use this backpack for all of my law school books (which can be very cumbersome). The padding on the backpack makes it so my back is never in pain.

I use this backpack for lots of work travel, including many rides in planes and for day hikes. I find the bag very comfortable and well organized so I can quickly access what I need while on the job or on the trail. This bag is highly versatile functionally and stylish. I imagine this bag will last me many many years to come. All around great product as expected from North Face.

This bag is very durable and roomy. Might be too big if youre on the shorter side, however. I am 5'6" roughly and it takes up my whole back.

This backpack is great! I have to carry around a lot of books, but I hardly notice the weight anymore because of how well this backpack distributes the load. It's extremely roomy, sturdy, and practical in every sense.

Nothing beats the durability of a North Face backpack. I have owned a North Face Yavapai since 1997, and it's traveled the world with me, gone on hundreds of camping trips and hikes, and to this day serves as my daily commuter pack for work. In the last 12 years I have seen my three kids go through other brands of backpacks at the rate of almost two per year for simple school use, because of zipper breaks, separating seams, and even torn straps.
My 14-year old son recently had a zipper malfunction on his current backpack, and so I told him it's time to stop messing around with other brands and use only a North Face. We searched www.TheNorthFace.com for all available styles and he chose the North Face Borealis, which he has been using for three weeks. Now, public schools in southern California typically do not have lockers for all students, and so kids in middle school and high school are carrying all of their books to and from campus each and every day. The overall weight of books and supplies must be at least 30 lbs and this weight not only places physical demand on my kids, but certainly tests the reliability of the backpack. The first day he used his new Borealis my son came home and expressed how much more comfortable his new North Face backpack was compared to all the others he had ever used. He even used it for a recent Boy Scout camping trip and was able pack all of his clothes and required gear in the Borealis without any issues, rather than having a backpack and gear bag like he's done on prior camping trips.
Three weeks later and he simply cannot stop talking about the Borealis to his friends, and I know it will be on the trail with us this summer during trips to Zion and Bryce. But more importantly, I am confident that he will be enjoying his North Face backpack through his college years and beyond. And now it is my mission to convert his 13 and 10-year old sisters to North Face believers, because nothing beats a North Face backpack.

I ended up buying this product after a few weeks of researching online for a new backpack. My main/only use for this is for school. I've been a "messenger bag" person for years, but carrying a heavy load was really hurting my neck, shoulders, and back. So, after a final decision, I decided to go with TNF Borealis. Now, I'm a penny-pincher, so thinking of buying a backpack that is almost $100 dollars doesn't sit well with me because I can buy a much cheaper one, but I can honestly say that I do not regret buying this backpack at all. This thing holds everything I need for a long day at school. The laptop sleeve is perfect to keep it protected, the main compartment holds all my notebooks and textbooks, the secondary compartment is perfect for pens, pencils, markers, calculators, and tablets. I also really like the accessibility for my sunglasses in the smallest fleece-lined pocket. I was worried that the side water bottle holders wouldn't stretch out to hold my Nalgene and travel mug, but they both fit in with ease. Also, if it ever gets warm out and you want to take your sweater off, the front draw strings are perfect for keeping your sweater put away, but also separate from your other belongings. As I mentioned earlier, my messenger bag that I previously had was hurting my neck, shoulders, and my back. This backpack is insanely comfortable and adjustable! The load is evenly distributed and the shoulder straps are padded well and breathe well just like the back panel. Honestly, I would buy this backpack again if I lost this one I have or if it was time for a new one!

I buy this product for anniversary gifts for employees at my company. It's a fantastic gift and super popular with our employees. It looks sharp with our logo and our employees love using it for transporting their laptops to and from work and on work trips.

I bought this for my college bound daughter. She's in love with it. After replacing multiple backpacks I wish we would have purchased this sooner. It holds a surprising amount and yet it remains comfortable. The details, double stitching, multiple pockets, easy access and padding, make this backpack not only very practical but a pleasure to use. She thinks it looks great too. She uses it for school and travel.

I bought a different backpack for graduate school and I absolutely hated it. It was not comfortable and had zero support. I have to carry my laptop, notebooks, and books so I needed something comfortable.
Once I bought this backpack, everything changed! I can carry everything I need and there's still extra room. I love the tablet pocket and the fleece lined sunglasse pocket. This is the best backpack I've ever had. It's cute too!

I bring this backpack to school everyday, and I love it! There is just the right balance between roominess and comfort- it's not too heavy, but still fits all of my belongings.
