I got this for my dad for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. He needed a backpack that was big enough but not too big for taking as a carry on for planes. He really loved this bag!

This is replacing my 07' TNF Slingshot pack that is still in mint condition aside from color fading from the FL sun, but I wanted to upgrade due to so many technology advances that have occurred since 07'. I drive a topless Jeep, so my bag follows me EVERYWHERE.
OUTSIDE OF PACK has hip & sternum belts to cinch load, two h20 side water pocks, lash tabs to hook gym padlock & mini hand sanitizer bott onto & a bugee system for hoody or bike helmet. Outside back of pack has ventilation pods for comfort & less sweat & a spine to keep form for life and a padded top handle to hang pack.
FRONT ORGANIZER COMPARTMENT has numerous padded & unpadded sleeves for tablet, bike tools, gum, keys, pens & 2 elastic webbings for media cords. This compartment is full length of pack so can stuff other items under organization pocks.
MAIN COMPARTMENT fits tons of gear along with a fleece lined 15in laptop sleeve that can also be used as a water bladder as there is a hole for the hose directly under top handle.
CONS:
*The top carry handle doesnt lift much from bag, so can only hang from a hook, not the back of a chair.
*Side compression buckles are connected to what i call wings cos thats what they look like when not cinched.
I am a TNFer for life. Top of the line construction. Lifetime Warranty gives me a piece of mind. I sent my Slingshot in last year to get a zipper tear fixed. Cost me $9 to send in & go back a week later in new condition.

Large enough to fit computer and running clothes for after work but small enough to not get in the way biking or on the metro

I use this backpack for college. PRO: My stapler/staples, index cards, highlighters, pens, pencils, post-its, iPad 2, tissues, portable cellphone charger, 13-inch MacBook Air, MacBook charger each have their own compartments. There is a medium-sized fleece pouch with a zipper that makes things in there easy to reach during class without taking your attention off the professor or board. CON: There is only enough space to store two binders and one average-sized paperback book at a time. OVERALL: A great investment. I am in love with this backpack. Thanks to the LIFETIME WARRANTY, I won't ever have to buy another one.

Bought this for my daughter, headed to college in new england. I am used to the durability of military gear, and this is on par with that, albeit with style. She has carried it for a few weeks, and says it's super comfortable, unlike the normal, unisex packs she used to carry. So far, design and functionality are both brilliant, durability and quality seem to be brilliant as well. And it didn't break the bank. I think we're all happy

This is a fantastic backpack for me as a college student! The only negative is that it is a little too small. My laptop fits great in the appropriate sleeve but I can't fit more than two textbooks. It is very comfortable and is practical for my daily needs.
