I use this back pack for travel. It is replacing an older Router backpack model that has traveled the world with me. The New router has improvements which make its purchase worth while. For example putting more pockets on the front of the pack as opposed to one full size pocket. Also the water bottle holders are deeper.

So far it's holding up nicely. I use it every day for work. The straps on the bottom of the bag are kinda useless but, meh, I can't complain. Very happy with this purchase.

The front bottom pouch is essentially an upside down pouch, very weird and not efficient. Also need at least one compartment to fully open, the bag has all slim pockets making it hard to get into.

Person who designed this backpack either never used any backpack in their life or did not know what they are doing
Large side pockest should have some kind of elastic so the stuff does not fall out out them. Main compartment is really small. If you put something in frot pocket then you will have roubles to acces or remove stuff from main compartment. Same applies for top pockets. When backpack is fully stuffed it feels rigid and unatural to wear.

Pros
- None
Cons
- No zippered organizational front pocket
- Ripstop material is cheap and doesn't match the color of the backpack
- No side buckle straps to hold water bottle in place
- Etc.

I've had an older version of this bag for a few years now and the straps are still as stiff as when it arrived in the mail.
They actually bruise my shoulders.
It's unfortunate because it holds so much.

The perfect EDC/travel bag for any occasion. This bag hits a lot of check boxes for me. It's comfortable, holds a lot, and compacts down with the built in straps. It's perfect! Holds everything you need and doesn't look like an ugly briefcase while doing it.

It's a great backpack, I upgraded from a smaller North Face backpack because it wouldn't fit my 16 inch MacBook Pro and my 13 inch iPad Pro. I wish that I bought the Router originally from the beginning because e it has great protection (lots of padding) for my devices plus a lot more stuff. Lots of room and extra pockets if necessary. Excellent Job North Face!

I bought this backpack for my high school freshman who needed a bigger bag for school. He plays sports and apparently (as of February) has yet to bother finding his locker, so needed a big bag. He has been using it without complaint and likes that it can be adjusted to different sizes depending on how much he needs to carry around.

Bag holds a ton of stuff. Good overnight bag for 2. Zippers are well made. Material is thick enough to withstand snags or holes. Have been very happy with product since I purchased it.

I couldn't be happier with my North Face Router Backpack! This bag has quickly become my go-to for both everyday use and weekend adventures. The 40L capacity is the perfect balance spacious enough to carry all my essentials, including a laptop, gym clothes, books, and even a jacket, yet still compact enough to maneuver through crowded areas comfortably.
The quality is top-notch, as expected from North Face. The material feels durable and sturdy, and the zippers and stitching are incredibly strong. I'm especially impressed with the padded laptop compartment; it offers great protection and fits my 15-inch laptop with ease. The ergonomic shoulder straps and back panel are well-padded, which makes a big difference when carrying heavier loads for long periods.
Organization is another strong point. The main compartment is roomy, and the front organization pocket helps keep my smaller items like pens, keys, and phone chargers neatly separated. I also love the side mesh water bottle pockets very practical for quick hydration access.
The sleek design of the Router Backpack is another highlight. It looks professional enough for work, but it's also versatile enough for hiking or traveling. Plus, the reflective elements make me feel safer when walking at night.
Overall, the North Face Router Backpack has exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether I'm commuting, heading to the gym, or out on a short trip, it holds up and looks great. Highly recommend it for anyone in need of a reliable, functional, and stylish backpack!

Works great for a middle schooler! Lots of room, but not too bulky. She is able to carry a Chromebook and binders for each class. Lots of pocket space for other things as well.

My son loves this bag. The color is very unique and the materials are very sturdy, strong and good quality. It holds heavy stuff and has good support. It's very comfortable even wearing it for a long time waiting for school bus

North face has a great warranty. We replace the backpack that was over 20 years old. Northface honored the lifetime warranty without hesitation, when they could not fix it. They sent us a gift card and we were able to purchase this backpack. I have one for my son as well. It's very roomy and a great back to have..

Amazing backpack! So much room, and such durable fabric. I expect this to last a long time so it's worth the price. Like the colors and style as well.

Has more room than I thought. Very happy with the quality. Handles are sturdy, zippers work well. Looks of pockets to put things. Used for an overnight bag for 2 people for one night, plenty of room.

I really appreciate the space and comfort this bag brings. I am able to travel with all of my electronics (three laptops, a mobile phone, and charging cables, etc). I am a tall person and it really fits my life style and needs!!

I have had this pack since Oct 22. It is still in great shape except for some reflective tape on one of the straps. This pack has room for all your stuff. In fact, I have never ran out of places to put my stuff. I came here to see about getting another.
