Great pack, middle big pocket could be easier to use. Rest is all good.

Bought this for my son to use for school. After 10 months of use the stitching on the strap came undone. I thought the warranty dept. was warranty & repair, but it's not. We were able to get the backpack returned to us and I've repaired it.

I returned it because the old router and the router transit are better. Bring back the good ones.

Is a large backpack. You can get lost searching for stored things with so many places for storage.

Glad to recommend this backpack. It is my new everyday backpack. I use it for commuting / running errands, on foot or bicycle.
There are lots of pockets to keep organized. The internal laptop pocket is great. It took me a bit to figure out my routine - what stuff goes where. Its big enough to fit clothes and stuff for a short weekend trip.
Chest and waist straps keep the pack snugly attached.
It is sturdy - and a bit heavy.

Big and spacious. Front pocket is odd and the front zipper pocket is weird to use.

I bought a new blue North Face Router backpack to replace an old red Surge backpack by North Face that I had since January 2008. I have grown attached to my old backpack since I travelled the world with it. I found in many ways the old backpack had much superior construction and better features than the new one. The zippers were tucked under a flap hidden from view. The pull cords were much thicker and terminated with an easy to grip tab. The side pockets were made of a strong mesh and had a pull cord that could tighten to prevent smaller items from falling out. The strap that goes around your waist could be tucked into hidden pockets built into the back padding. Thick loops on the back of the backpack and rings on the front shoulder straps could be used to tie or clip it to additional carry items. I did not find any of these features on the new Surge that my daughter has or the new Router that I got. I didn't find the layout of the pockets of either new backpack to be as good as my old backpack, but maybe I was just used to the older layout. The new Router is slightly bigger than the new surge, so that is why I chose the Surge this time. The Router is still a well constructed back pack, but North Face decided to to pinch pennies on its construction and it seems more geared to city slickers than the outdoor. So I'm a bit disappointed that I got a run of the mill item and not the quality that North Face built it's reputation on. The reputation that used to symbolize the rugged outdoor.

The Router Backpack is hands down, one of the most reliable and stylish backpacks I've ever owned.
Pros:
Exceptional Storage: This backpack seamlessly blends functionality with style. The multiple compartments are a lifesaver for organization, easily accommodating my laptop, books, water bottle, and even some gym gear.
Ergonomic Design: Even on days when I'm carrying a heavier load, the padded shoulder straps and back support make it comfortable to wear.
Sturdy Build: The quality of materials used ensures that this backpack can withstand daily wear and tear. It's water-resistant, ensuring my electronics and documents stay dry during unexpected downpours.
Sleek Aesthetic: Its design is modern and versatile, making it suitable for both professional and casual settings.
Final Thoughts:
The Router Backpack has been an absolute game-changer for my daily commutes and travels. It's not just a backpack; it's a daily companion that keeps my essentials safe and organized. If you're in the market for a reliable backpack, look no further.

I use this backpack as a college student and usually fit my iPad and binder with 3 notebooks and a book. One thing I love about this backpack is that it's able to adapt to the size you need. So you don't need to have your backpack look big while it's empty. It's able to change to whether you're carrying a light load or heavy load by loosening the straps and allowing the backpack to expand.
