(Please note this is a review for the 2 replacement pair...) Having been the happy owner of over a dozen of your original Reef Gingers in various colors (all were lost in the Thomas Fire) I was disappointed to see how few color choices were now available. Recently I saw a few new colors crop up and ordered the blush/ black pair. I've always worn the same size 8 but the pair I received was far smaller than the original 8's with my heal hanging over the back side. Straps were also too tight and the thong part between the toes is placed slightly back on the sole further affecting the original fit. It's apparent that they are being manufactured somewhere else and not in line with the previous specs. I returned them for a size 9. Still slightly too small but don't want to go to a 10 as that would be too large... Very disappointed.

Straps are tight and sit low on your foot (close to your toes) I always wear a size 9 in reefs and these are too small.

I bought my usual size 9. When I tried them on, the back of my heel was right at the edge. I put them against my previous pair of the same size and there was a considerable difference.

I have worn Reef flip flops for years - in fact had my last pair of black reefs for 10! So bummed that they've changed and are now chunky - I'm a small person and they just look silly. In addition, I'm always a size 7, but the 7's were too small and 8's were too big. :(

Bought the same size I bought last time, but they were SO much smaller. My heel was coming off the back. Weird. Needless to say, they went back.

I have bought dozens of Ginger sandals over the years, and these are NOT the same anymore. They are narrow, the sole is thicker, and the bottoms are dangerously slippery. Reef, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

They were cute, but I had to return them as they were too small. For a size 6, they were cut very short and narrow, unlike a pair of Reef flip flops I'd purchased about 3 years ago of the same size, albeit a different style. I love your flip flops because they are super comfy, but the size issue was disappointing.

I'm sending this same comment to reef directly in the hopes they change the design. I've had this style reef forever. 3 pairs that I literally wore out over probably 15 years. I live in Florida, and wear reef flip flops 100% of the time I'm not at work. These looked the same. They are NOT. The sole is stiffer, which causes the strap to rub my foot. I could walk forever in the old ones. These, after a mile I've got a bit chafe mark. They also make the bottoms of my feet black (old ones did not), and the bottoms are SO slick. I've almost busted my butt multiple times because of this. My old ones with no tread left are still more secure than these new ones. I'd return them if I could. It makes me so sad because I loved my old pairs so much. I hope they change the manufacturing.

This is my 4th pair of Ginger Reefs and they are my favorite style. I have always ordered the same size and have always been very pleased with the fit. HOWEVER, this pair seems a bit small and not very comfortable through the straps. Not sure why, but not as happy as I have been in the past.

My shoe size is a 7.5 medium. Before placing my order, I read countless customer reviews on multiple websites. Based on many customers' complaints about sizing, I ordered a pair of size 8 and a pair of size 9. The size 8 fit well and the 9 was too large. The strap was stiff, rough, scratchy, and irritated my sensitive skin. The toe piece was too thick and actually caused pain between my toes. I ordered the bright pink color aka tropical sunset because I liked the pretty contrasting multi-colored design on the strap. I returned both pairs of Ginger and ordered a pair of Celine size 8 and a pair of Voyage Lite Beach size 8; both of which I love.

I have almost fallen and busted my butt about five times and I have only had these sandals a couple of weeks; ladies be careful. Reef, quit changing materials your shoes were fine several years ago, but I'm not a fan anymore. I also had to order a size 8 and I am actually a 6 1/2.

I have been buying Reefs for years because they have an arch and they are super comfortable. In the past, the quality has been amazing. I'm not as impressed with the new ones I just received. The right shoe on the strap is entirely too tight. Almost like it's defective and I have worn them, so I cannot return

Needed child 4 1/2, you recommended a ladies small. Way too small. Now I pay to return and guess again. Compared to the child 2/3 for my other grandchild your 5L. is smaller. I

Not happy with the changes! Sorry Reef but I will not buy any longer. The sole is stiff and slippery and also the shape is odd. I can't figure out the differences since I don't have any old ones I can compare them to. I just thought the new pair would have been exactly the same... but I know for sure they are not! DISAPPOINTED :( Very good customer service though *****

Reef ginger used to be the only flip flop I'd wear. I've purchased around 5 pairs over the years. I appreciated how comfortable they felt between the toes from the moment you took the tag off. This new pair I got are made of a stiffer outsole. They now have an uncomfortable fit. The strap digs in between my first and second toe so bad that I can't leave the house in them.
