Reefs are my favorite but since I purchased my last pair the sizing seems to have changed. Compared to my old size 11 Reefs, the new size 11 Reefs are half an inch shorter. Don't like my heel falling off the back...had to return.

As other reviewers stated, these are at least one whole size smaller than they once were. (I held my new 9’s up to my old 8’s and the old 8’s were BIGGER!) I buy at least one pair of Reef Gingers every couple of years, and these are entirely different. The squishy sole feels the same and I think I will like the addition of a more dense rubber to the bottom - I hope that it will help them retain their shape and not wear thin so quickly. Some reviewers said that it makes the sole too slick, but I disagree. My old Gingers would get so slick with wear that I could skate across wood floors. The straps are significantly tighter. I’m hoping that they will stretch and not rub blisters, but only time will tell. Maybe another size up would help? All said, I’m pretty disappointed and wish I had my old Gingers back (maybe with the sole addition).

I have been wearing Reef's for at least 10+ years. I like them because they have at least some arch support unlike other flip-flops. These Reef's were a huge disappointment. I bought them in my normal size 7 which have previously always fit just fine. These size 7s are more like a 6 or 6.5. Not sure what Reef is basing their sizes on these days but like other reviews, the current sizes are not correct!

The straps of these are thin and a tight fit, i was hoping they might stretch a little but have not. They are not at all flexible but there is a reasonable support which for flip flops which is not usual. I kept them only as I need a new pair but would not order again.

Returned item. Not true to size

I own multiple other pairs of Reef Gingers and either I got a weirdly sized pair, or these have changed. The footbed seems cushier (which is nice) but the straps are way tighter and my foot hangs off the back, even though my other pairs are the same size. So bizarre and frustrating.

Loved the look, but the size 9 was more like a size 8. Trading for a bigger size. Also the straps sat kind of close to my toes if that makes sense. But I usually love this brand, so going to try the next size up!

As others have stated the reef gingers now run a size smaller!

I love the Ginger Reef, however, I think Reef changed the design of this flip flop. It is much heavier and the bottom of the sandal is slippy in wet conditions. Please bring back the old Ginger!!!

I have worn size seven Reef Ginger flip flops for over ten years...this new pair was WAY too small and I'm crushed. My notmalmsoze is a 6.5-7 so I fear ordering an 8. I have never found them to vary in size. Truly the best flip flop out there and I'm a bit devastated as my dog ate my other THREE pair l- yes- threeeeeee. I might have cried when these arrived and felt so small. I also ordered another style and while they are a little bigger, I will return them bc they're def smaller than usual and so borderline on size- a little too close for comfort for me. Perhaps something has changed with manufacturing? Truly the best arch support and most versatile flip flop (shorts to beach to casual skirts or dresses) of you can find the right fit- which for ten plus years was effortless! SOS...I need my reefs...

I usually wear size 7.5 in normal shoes, and size up to 8 for flip flops. But Reef seems to run a 1/2 size smaller on me, and so it appears I'll need to go to a size 9 (only whole sizes). Comfortable otherwise.

I have worn a size 7 for over ten years in reefs- and always worn the Ginger- these feel a full size too small- could barely get my average 6.5 size foot in to try i on- so bummed! This has always been my go to, no need to question size. Will try an 8 but as I'm a 6.5 I'm skeptical...I give them a five star in comfort and style bc they're great support and perfect t style for a casual flip flop. Bummed that something's off on sizing!

Even when I sized down these cute and inexpensive shoes were much too wide for my narrow feet. I'd recommend them to everyone else for their simple syle.
