I have been wearing this exact flip flop style for about 10 years now, purchasing a new pair every year or two after normal wear and tear. To me, they are the ideal flip flop: Super comfortable, versatile, easy, and well-made. However, this year when I ordered a size 8 (I wear a 7.5 normally, and as I said I have purchased a size 8 in the Reef Gingers every couple years for a decade), I discovered that they were way too small on me. Measured against my existing pair, they were visibly smaller - a lot smaller. So I returned them and ordered a size 9, which was perfect. Still the same great Reef Gingers I've always known, but strangely now need them in 1 size larger. So FYI for anyone planning to purchase these: You may want to go up a size.

I love this style of Reefs and have purchased them for many years. I love the thin strap that fits comfortably between my toes. My pair from several years ago was chewed up by a puppy so I purchased two more new pairs. My only regret is that Reef has changed the material in the footbed from one that was a little bit more crepe-like to one a little more stiff. I'm sure they will last longer but don't seem to conform to my foot as well as the my old ones. The brown and black are great colors that will go with everything. I like Reefs for the gym locker room and pool, for the beach and everything in between!

I like these a lot but you want to go up a size. They run small and narrow. They are very durable.

I bought these in black to replace a similar pair that I lost. They are comfortable as far as flip flops go, and they look nice enough for casual wear. I like the cloth straps and the black-on-black design. I usually wear an 8.5 and ordered a 9. They fit well. Exactly what I wanted.

I am replacing my old Gingers and this pair runs a full size smaller.

As the other reviewers had said, the sizing is way off. I’ve had Reefs for years and always sized up a half size to 8 (I’m a 7.5 normally). But when I reordered a size 8 to replace my older Reefs, the sizing was way too small. When I held up the new 8 to the old, it was a good inch smaller. Very strange, so I would recommend sizing up for the new version of the flip flops. I went with a 9 and it feels like an 8! The straps also did feel tighter but I have narrow feet so I didn’t mind.

Love them! First reef pair I purchase but they were super comfy and was able to walk around all day In them! Only thing was order full size bigger than usual size! I’m usually 9 and I ordered 10 and fit perfect’ ! Good luck!!

Although these have changed a bit over the years (less squishy foam), they're still my go-to summer shoes. Most other flip flops chafe between my toes but these are perfectly comfortable right out of the gate. This is my 4th pair in 15 years and I still love them!

I normally wear a 7.5 so I ordered the 8. My foot just fit with absolutely no additional room. My heel and toes were right on the edges. So I returned them for a 9 and they fit perfect. I am happy with my purchase as they are a nice simple flip flop. Definitely like that the thong part is material and not rubber. I do wish they were a little bit lighter in weight but overall I like them.

Runs a bit small compared to other Reef sandals I’ve purchased

I wish Reef hadn't changed the soles of their sandals as I loved the foam soles. These soles are a bit less squishy which may allow them to last longer. They feel comfortable, though not as comfortable as they were previously with the foam soles.
