Really like the fit and support of this tennis shoe. Nice toe room and they don’t pinch across the top of my foot where I often have problems. Attractive leather.

I purchased an 8 which is what I usually do for shoes that need socks. These fit true to size and were comfortable out of the box. Felt like a heavy sneaker on and gave good grip to the ground.

I can always count on Vasque. Over the years I've had serious Vasque backpacking boots, two lighter pairs of day hiker boots, and now these hiking shoes. It's like they were made for me. They're not too heavy. They're great on slick surfaces. They can take trail or sidewalk. Very happy. I have wide feet, and a 7W was true to size.

Hands down the most comfortable everyday shoe I've ever had. Roomiest toe box accommodates my somewhat wonky feet, great arch support (I have high arches). Super rugged, too, transitions seamlessly from everyday use to hiking in the White Mountains.

I've only worn the shoes around the house to check for comfort and fit. So far the only concern I have is that my left heel seems to not sit quite flat in the shoe; it's hard to say if it's my foot or the shoe. The right foot feels fine. Time will tell once I wear them all day at the end of the month.

This is a great hiking shoe. My feet are between narrow/medium width, size 11. They fit perfectly. I looked a long time for low hiking boots and finally found a pair that fit. They are cut true to size. The many pairs I tried on from other brands were always too short in length. They also look very cute and make my feet look smaller! I replaced the inserts that came with the shoe with my own orthodics.

I wear an 11, but lately the 11s are feeling snug. These are almost roomy (unusual). I have a bunion on one foot and the fit is very comfy. The other foot is a bit wide. The way they lace in the front doesn't allow you to tighten quite enough. I kept these, but may need to put in a thicker insole. Very good for light hiking.

This is a good looking shoe. It fits well, but because of a unique old injury to my ankle it does not work for me. Thanks to Zappos friendly return policy I get to wear a shoe around the house long enough to know when I have a problem.

I wear these out about every 18 months and buy another. The uppers last throughout the period, without losing any functionality. When the soles wear down and overall appearance looks scruffy, I buy a new pair. I wear them every day in The City. They are my go-to shoes. The Vibram soles stick to the sidewalk so I never fear slipping in the rain. The shoes keep my feet dry in wet weather too. Comfortable from the get-go (I wear orthotics), durable, classic active footwear.

I bought these shoes as I am on my feet all day at UPS and comfort is a must, style is also very important and these shoes have both! They are true to size. I love that they are available in wide. I love these shoes and love Zappos' outstanding customer service!

Great shoe - I am not a real active person (69) and these shoes are just great for what I do - gardening and as much plein air painting as I can. I have a very high instep and these were the best choice of the wide shoe selection. And they have turned out to be my favorite shoe!

Love these walking shoes. They are possibly the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, right out of the box with zero break in time. I have a wide foot, a high arch and these were a perfect fit. Easy to lace up, the laces stay tight and I plan to put a lot of miles on these shoes, walking trails, doing mild hiking and just day to day dog walking. This was my first time buying this brand and I am 100% sold. In the past I have often bought shoes a bit on the smaller size, thinking I was a size 7 1/2 but never allowed for full forward support with my toes. These are an 8 and a perfect fit with plenty of room for the big toe not to rub.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are comfortable from the moment that I slipped them on, they run true to size. I wore them in icy Syracuse, hiking to a UNC/Cuse game. Then the next week I wore them hiking all over Costa Rica.

Oh my, I love these shoes. Wish I had known about this brand before now. Got them in a C/W width and they are so comfortable. Usually have to by a half length longer for the width, but I was able to buy the 8 instead.

Balance and stability! Yes! If you have never worn Vasque shoes you are in for a treat! These shoes, what do I say? They are comfortable, durable and everything that you will read on the other reviews. But the extra punch with Vasque is the balance they give me. I had surgery and prior to surgery had been quite inactive. I had lost my balance. I actually would answer "yes, several times" when I visited the doctors and heard that question, "have you fallen down recently?" I wavered, stumbled, fell, not good. I started out with a pair of Vasques and I immediately felt more stable. I have never wavered or stumbled with these, either. To this day! These shoes give me balance and stability that I have never experienced with shoes, so I am a little stumped at how to describe it. The balance issues I suffered, thankfully, have now passed, so I can safely wear any shoes, but the Vasque still provide me with the extra stability and balance (and yes, comfort!) that I love in my shoes. I am a forever fan of Vasque. I recommend them with five stars and a song! Thank you, Vasque!

I wore these shoes nearly the entire time I was in Italy and Amsterdam and they were fabulous. We walked as much as 7 miles a day and these shoes were always comfortable on my wide feet.Great on uneven cobblestones, dirt, or pavement. I did go up a half-size after first trying them on in my regular size. BTW, it rained the whole time and my feet stayed dry. Love these shoes

I can't say enough good about these hiking shoes. I have a wide foot and they fit perfectly. They run true to size and width and I was able to put them on and hike and not have to break them in at all! Can't speak highly enough of them!!!

This is probably the most comfortable light hiking shoe that I've ever tried. Virtually no break in time, light weight, and accommodates orthotics. My first time trying this brand and very satisfied. If they also have more dressy walking shoe styles, I'd also be interested in a black pair.

Very comfortable right from the start, wide enough for my wide feet. I have ordered a different insole, though, to get a little more comfort on the bottom of my feet. Definitely recommended.

After reading this as a suggestion for wide feet, I decided to try Vasque for the first time. They are great shoes! Felt really confortable right out of the box. They do ride a bit high around the ankle but are breaking in just fine. They are also a tad "boaty", but I will sacrifice looks for a good hiking shoe that will hold up over 5 miles. These are not waterproof, but due to the leather I think they will hold up really well in mud and dew, more so than other mesh shoes. They are not overly hot either. I think I will be adding a quality insert but am loking forward to lots of comfortable hiking and dog walks in these shoes.

Well constructed but runs small. I normally size up to a 9 but would have to go to a 10 to accommodate hiking socks. My foot just fit with thin socks but felt squeezed on the sides and the top of my toes.

Excellent fit and quite comfortable. Haven't worn them on a hike yet, but I'm sure they'll be perfect. Don't know why they named them with Chartreuse in the color, that made me pause, but they are mostly a rich brown. Excellent Service! And they look terrific too.

Very comfortable low hiking shoe. I usually hike in running shoes, I wanted something just as comfortable but with greater water resistance. This shoe was recommended to me because it has a narrower fitted heel, with a wider toe box. Zappos is wonderful to order from, very responsive and I love the free return shipping in case something doesn't fit.

Excellent shoe for the serious walker or day hiker! Sturdy, great support! I need wide widths and this shoe delivered. The wide width gave me the 'toe box' space I need. I did have to size up because I wear thick hiking socks. Definitely worth the price.
