I bought these as a gift for my husband, to replace Carhartts that came in the wrong size (the waist/length measurements were flipped). He has other Carhartts and really likes them. Well, it turns out that the switcheroo was a happy accident, because every time he wears the Levi's he comments on how much he likes them. They look good on, too. These are great regular jeans for a regular guy.

I love these Cabana Color Levi's 505's. They are soft, stone-washed denim. I think Levi's will eventually stop making these, but while they are available I got several pairs. They are very comfortable. They look worn out when you get them, but that's the way I like them. They are made in Bangladesh, and they aren't the same made anywhere else. I have a feeling that Levi's will probably eventually stop making them in Bangladesh probably because they can be made less expensively somewhere else, but I always look for that Made in Bangladesh on the label because I like those the best.

The size is exactly what I expected. They are comfortable and the color is dark black which allows to be worn with most anything.

Purchased these in black for BF. Deep, rich color with a nice relaxed fit.

Usually I get the 550 pants but 29 inseam was out of stock so I went with the 505 and find that they fit well, and look a little better than the 550 since the 505 is not as loose fitting. The wife likes the look better as well.

It's hard to beat Levi Jeans for quality and fit. I prefer models 505 and 550, the kids can have the rest.

I haven't purchased Levi's in a while because they are expensive at local stores. They are just as I remember, just right.

There's a serious flaw in the way that Levis assigns model numbers to their jeans. If you buy model 505 jeans in cabana blue, that's model 505 sub-model 1087. The tag from the factory will be 505-1087. if you buy 505s in another color, the sub-model will be something else. Any normal person would expect the sub model to reflect the color only but that's not what Levis does. Model 505-1087 uses a lighter weight denim. Other sub-models use a heavier denim. If you like the fit and feel of 505-1087 jeans (cabana blue), don't expect the same fit and feel of 505s in another color. I like light weight denim. If you prefer heavier weight denim, you may not like these. With 1000 3 digit number combinations available, it's a mystery to me why Levis numbers jeans this way.

Good fit I just ordered the wrong color for my husband.

These jeans -- 505 in "Rinse" color -- are the closest I've found to the simple, classic Levis I grew up with. Most Levis I encounter now at Levis stores, department stores and even rugged army/navy stores come with pre-faded colors, polyester added, or trendy styling. The 505s in Rinse still seem to be the real deal. Depending on how you clean them, you can try to keep them stiff and dark blue or let them soften and fade. Personally, I prefer the zipper closure of the 505s to the button fly of other styles. This will continue to be the only style of Levis I will buy until they stop making them.

I love me Levi's 505 jeans! They feel great. My recent color was the midnight rinse. I have washed these a gazillion times and they still have retained most of their color. Also feel great.

Can't go wrong with Levis. Its pretty much the only brand of jeans my partner will wear. Plus he can get his 36 in length.
