Bought these for husband...he says they have a nice, traditional fit. Light stonewashed color looks good also.

Usually get the Straight Leg 514 when I order Levi's. Thought I'd try the 505 Regular to use as a work pant (I'm a waiter). It offers a bit more room and still looks sharp and not baggy.

Great jeans. However Levis should make them available in boot cut. They seen to not provide boot cut in styles where they were previous offered. I wear a brace and regular cuts make it extremely difficult to get the jeans over the brace.

Although the Levi's I bought were of excellent quality, what has impressed me with Zappos is the outstanding customer service...prompt, efficient and courteous.

50 Shades of Blue! Zappos offers a much wider range of colors in very style of Levi's than any store. If you know your size, you can't beat Zappos. Overnight delivery is an added plus. When you call for sales assistance you always get first rate help from someone who is very helpful, professional and intelligent. There is an positive energy that is easy to sense and makes Zappos that much more enjoyable to do business with.

I quit smoking so my waist size is constantly changing. I have always been a fan of the 501 jeans but the buttons are not the same as they used to be so I tried to 505 jeans. They fit just like the 501s and are much easier to open the fly. They seem cheaper then the ones I wore in high school (thinner denim) but they still fit nice.That's better than any others I've tried!

These are good but very baggy in the thighs. I have a big gut and cannot keep them pulled all the way up. But there are a lot of people with this problem. The material is on the heavy side.

Seems the 505 cut has gotten fuller. Liked the old ones better. As always, Zappos service was FAST, FAST, FAST!

the review is not about the product, per se. I ordered a pair of these and washed them like I always do. Surprisingly, the color ran and I called Zappos. They immediately sent me another pair at no cost. There is no company that can meet the customer service of Zappos!

No problems. I got the straight leg and wish they were less baggy in the thigh area. Mine are a 43 waist and I have a big stomach but they fit okay. The material is a bit heavy for me to wear to work in the summer.

I had 2 older pair of this style when I ordered a new pair. The fit has changed dramatically. The new pair fits much looser. I am told that the loose fit is due to Levi's changing the tailoring to accommodate current customers who are on the average more plump than they used to be. Unfortunately, I removed the tags and laundered them before I discovered the baggy fit, so I guess I am stuck with them. Will try a different brand next time.

My new Levi's 505's are very comfortable and durable. The only con is the seam of the right leg is twisted slightly counter-clockwise. Very pleased with Zappos.com.

2014 Review/Clarification for loyal 505 fans that were/are disappointed with the change in cut of 505 jeans to Straight Fit... Ordered a pair of 505 in September, 2011... not knowing they would be "Straight Fit" instead of the old "Regular Fit." I was very disappointed! In 2012 contacted Levi customer support and learned that Levi changed cut to "Straight Fit" in 2010. Contacted them again in 2014 and learned that due to 2 plus years of overwhelming negative feedback from faithful Levi 505 fans, they went back to the old Regular Fit. I now own a pair of the new (2014) "Regular Fit" and I can tell you that the cut is virtually indistinguishable from the original 505 manufactured before 2010. The denim is not as good however, but I'm very happy that they went back to the original fit! Only four Stars due to quality of denim. Just make sure the label says Regular, not Straight if you want the old fit. Eventually merchants will sell out of the Straight, and this will no longer be an issue. Kudos to LS&Co. for listening to their customers! And of course, Zappos service can't be beat.

The jeans are okay. They fit, but are a little snug. If you want a tight-fitting look, these would be your thing. Otherwise, order a little larger waist size than usual.

Fit well, though the rise is shorter than it used to be, which has reduced comfort. They also eliminated the loop on the inside of the back of the waist that was meant for and handy for hanging on a hook.

I'm a window cleaner so the pants need to be tough when around shrubs and rose bushes, but they need to be flexible when bending and climbing on roofs

I always wanted to get back to Levi's. I really didn't like Old Navy jeans anymore, especially the relaxed fit. It look like "grandpa trying to be hip jeans." So I got the 505 regular fit. Now I am happy again. Not baggy at all...just right.
