I only gave this shoe a 3 as I was expecting the comfort of my original Nike Free's. They spoiled me.This shoe is not as flexible as the original Free. The sole has less flex in it.

These would be great shoes if the tongue had any padding. Even loosely tied, the shoes hurt the top of my feet. With a tongue like in the Nike Free 5.0, they would be awesome.

This is a strange shoe. The profile is very striking and appealing but the fit and construction aren't as good as I hoped. The upper material is similar to a thin glove, and is very light but loose. It offers little to no support for your forefoot, allows your toes poke out on the sides, and contrary to other reviews, provides zero ventilation. That, along with the sockliner equal two hot feet. The sockliner was a draw to me because I prefer wearing athletic shoes sockless, but the chosen materials combo left my feet uncomfortable. Again, this shoe has a really cool profile, but it just may not be what you initially expected. If you're going for looks alone, this is your shoe. Otherwise, stick to something else.

So, I wish I could come up with a brighter review here. After about three weeks of wearing these, they are just not as comfortable or responsive as I have read previously. I have been thinking of switching up to the Lunarglides for an extra depth of comfort. What I do love about these shoes are the upper materials. These things are as light as a dream. When I walk around, wind just breezes in the net-like material and cool my feet. For short distances, I cannot complain at all and I know that I am looking good in them to boot. However, if I am on my feet all day, I am not feeling too well afterwards. My feet ache from their stiff, unresponsiveness. I will go with my regular running shoes for days when I know that I will be on my feet working. Other than that, I feel lukewarm about these barely serviceable shoes and am bummed to say so. I guess you really do get what you pay for. It is time to get serious and try on those Lunarglides.

Terrible - do not buy if you are actually doing anything active in them besides walking Within 2 days my 15 year old had ripped 2 holes in them. His friend had done the same thing after a week. Definitely not for active wear.

Love the look of the shoe and they are quite comfortable however the material on the toe is the thinnest material I’ve ever felt on a pair of nikes. I feel like I would put a hole in the toe within the first couple weeks of wearing. Disappointed in the quality for a Nike product. Needless to say I did not keep these and sent them back. Save your money unless you want to buy new shoes every month.

Not a good product. First off I ordered a size 9 in men's and it literally came in a size 8. Awful service. Next the material was absolutely terrible. I heard stories after I bought them that the material rips after a very short amount of time which is very believable because the material feels like it was built for $3. About the only thing that I felt was good about the product was the style. I thought the shoe itself looked pretty cool, but that was sadly about the only thing I was impressed with about the shoes.

They get a fold at the bottom of the laces. Theres no loop in the tongue at the halfway point to pull it up.

These just didn't work for me. They felt like EE-width uppers had accidentally been attached to D-width soles. The mesh is very flexible, and with no lining or other structure, the fit was quite "sloppy" no matter how tightly laced. I also found the ridged texture of the insoles uncomfortable. So they're going back. Thanks Zappo's for free return shipping!

This is a very thin-looking shoe. It seemed small to my husband, who has worn the same size 10 M forever. He also thought the construction was pretty flimsy. Back it goes...

I looked for an alternative to Allbirds that are friendly with my prescription orthotics. I had to remove the insoles from Allbirds to use with my orthotics, which is not something I've every had to do with shoes. These were not it. They simultaneously pinched the top of my foot while feeling like they'd slip off the heel (similar problem with Allbirds + insoles). They are also chunkier and looked more like running shoes than I was hoping for. If you wear prescription orthotics, this style of shoe is probably not for you.

These shoes are cheeply made. The soles come up every time my son takes them on and off.. Nikes quality overall the past two years has gone down hill. We are switching to adidas and under armor. Hope this helps.

The only grievance I have with these is the thickness/robustness of the mesh matierial that makes the toe box. It is very very thin and it gets deformed really easy with your toes. They mesh is so thin and frail that your toes pierce holes on them after 6 months or so. However, they are very light and comfortable.

Low quality materials, and made me feel slanted forward when standing. They look okay from a distance but have an extremely low quality feel to them.

I bought these as work shoes because I am constantly on my feet (healthcare) and many reviews said that they were extremely comfortable. I wish that I could agree with them, but I do not. My big issue is in the lace area. No matter how I adjust them, they are either too tight, which hurts the top of my foot, or too loose, which allows my toes to slide into the front of the shoe. I struggle with this problem every day that I wear these and it is maddening. I have never had such a problem with shoes. I have normal feet and no odd proportions. My last pair of Nikes, Lunarglide 2s, have lasted for years and have been extremely comfortable despite being a quite worn. Maybe I will try the newer Lunarglides, but these are destined for someone else. Or the trash if that next individual shares my pain.

My 13 year old blew through them in one month. They are made from thin material. Apparently they are not intended to be durable sneakers.

Bought these for my 11 yr old son. He really liked them and thought they were very comfortable, but they did not hold up well at all. Started wearing them late Aug just before school started and 2 months later they were literally falling apart. He is not allowed to wear sneakers at his school so he only wore them after school and on weekends and they still only lasted 2 months. Very disappointing at the low quality of this product. Would not recommend for active kids/adults.

Not as comfortable or as good a walking shoe as I had hoped for. In addition to general comfort and support, the canvas upper, just underneath the shoelaces bunches up slightly as well. Like there's a little too much material there.

Great style and comfort but quality is not as great as other Nike products. I bought these for my 14 year old son who loved the style. The shoes are only 1 month old and have tears already.

Tread runs down too fast! If you are going to wear these daily, the tread will run down within months and the shoe becomes a hazard. Coming inside from the rain, I've almost fallen many times once the wet bottom of my now treadless shoe hit tile. Also the white paint on the street crosswalk becomes dangerous when wet without proper tread. I carry a baby and there have been many times I was slipping. I cannot wear these on days with a chance of rain because of this and I've had them less than 6 months.

I ordered these and at first they were really comfortable but after one week of wearing them the mesh ripped and now my toe shows whenever I wear them. I will not be buying Roshe Runs again.

I'm a jogger, not a runner really, and normally train about 10 miles a week. I've been running in a pair of Nike Fusion 2's for about a year, and needing a new pair of shoes decided to go with the Nike Roshe Run's based on the positive review here. I tried on the shoes and found them uncomfortable. While they are not a "minimalist" shoe, they are sort of trending that way. The soles are thinner than my Fusion 2's. The insoles are ribbed, which I found to be uncomfortable, even through running socks. I boxed the shoes back up and will be returning them for credit towards a pair of Nike Fusion III's. While the Roshe Run's may be great shoes for many, they just don't do it for me. The Fusion's cost little more...but they appear to be more what I'm accustomed to.
