This pant was indeed comfortable and really held the gut in. The problem is that since it holds the gut in so well, every other squishy thing gets squished upwards, therefore emphasizing back fat and upper gut rolls. I looked worse after I put these on than before! If you aren't squishy like me and just have a little belly problem this pant is for you. Otherwise, believe me, a regular workout pant will look better!

I love these! I usually wear CW-X compression tights and shorts. They are the best for long runs and recovery. However, these Spanx Active Compression Knee Pants are really great for my easy runs. I have worn them in the heat and was pleased with how breathable they are. Please do not change the high waist. It is nice core support. These Spanx tights are also very flattering. Looking good goes a long way when you are pushing yourself to the limits. This is my first Spanx purchase. The Zappos reviews really helped me to make an informed decision. I am buying another pair.

These workout capris are amazing! I am 5'10" with junk in the trunk and a smaller waist. After having no luck with the Nike Filament Capri, Nike Pro Core II Compression Capri, Under Armour Heatgear Lunge Capri, and numerous others found in stores, I am tickled to have finally found these! They sit at the waist, so there is plenty of room for my junk. They suck in my love handles and saddlebags too. Everything looks smaller and smoother! The fabric is soft and feels incredible to the touch. Since I am taller, they do go just below my knees.

This is the best Yoga (hot yoga) pant ever. Tight on hips and thighs holds it all in, and yet is so comfortable, moves in all directions and when I leave the hot studio, wicks dry fast. I love these and am online now ordering more pairs.

Fit is tight, but not uncomfortable. Sizing is accurate. Pants give support and flex with movement. I am very pleased they come to my waist and don't feel they will slip off my hips as the low rise pants do. I wear these for weight work outs and running.

These pants are absolutely fantastic! I am going to buy another pair. Ladies, I have terrible varicose veins and these have helped me almost as much as my support hose. I highly recommend them!

I LOVE these pants! I bought them to be a post-surgical compression garment and they worked perfectly, BUT they are SO much more that too! They have a great shaping effect and keep everything in the right place to really accentuate my curves (tummy, waist, rear, hips and thighs all around) and impart a huge slimming effect from my upper tummy down to my knees. I am 5'4" and about 128lb and the small fits me perfectly with a good amount of compression. The garment fits tight - but in the right places which is kind of the point - so it takes a little effort to get them on, but once they're on I find the pants to be very comfortable and supportive. I am still wearing them post surgery -- doctor ordered a compression garment for 6 weeks and I'm in week 4. I've really gotten so used to the feel of them -- the way they accentuate my shape and the support they provide -- that I know it is going to be hard to stop wearing them everyday under my work and other clothes. That said I actually do plan to wear these in the future as workout pants alone as well as under clothes that I want to have that special shaping and smoothing effect (e.g. Tight fitting pants, dresses, etc). I also wanted to compare these pants to other compression/shaping garments I have owned. I have 3 pairs of Spanx shorts - all are made of a thick nylon stalking type material. The shorts are nice and work OK but these pants slim, shape and compress so much better. They also stay put better where the shorts can sometimes roll up the thigh and down in the waste. The shorts can also create a visible line on your outer garmet in the thigh area and the fact that these pants run just below the knee helps eliminate and minimize that issue. In comparison to work out pants, these pants are my favorite compression style. The waist is high and comes above the belly button for complete waist shaping, but important to note as most workout pants these days fit low on the waste so these pants are a little different. I personally like the supportive feel they provide during a workout. I might have to buy another pair! Lastly, these pant seem to be very well made and are holing up nicely to repeated washes over the 4 weeks I have been wearing them. Granted, I have only been wearing them for 4 weeks but ALL day and night for 4 weeks. So far they are keeping their shape and no snags, loose threads, etc. and judging by the way they are made I think they are going to last a good long time. I Highly recommend these pants. They are a little costly, but I am so happy I went ahead and purchased them. They were a great investment in my opinion. One comment to Spanx and the manufacturer-- please make these in other colors. A nude would be great for wearing under lighter clothes. Gray and maybe some fun prints for wearing alone as athletic clothing. Thanks!

These are the only leggings I will wear - and I've tried them all! I wear them for Pilates, barre, and running. They comfortably support me while exercising, though I often find myself wearing them the rest of the day. They are high waisted to nicely suck in my middle and also offer a nice overall compression while running. For reference, I am a size 8-10 in jeans, athletic build, medium frame, and I wear an XL in these leggings. I tried a large but felt uncomfortably constricted through the waist (and I think the reason why there's a few complaints about the top rolling down- I think they're just wearing them too small).

Apparently I am the only woman in America who does not wear Spanx on a regular basis, but my friend was raving about these capris for running, so I thought that I would give them a try. And guess what? I am so pleased with these compression capris by Spanx. I have several pairs of compression capris for running because I find that they hold my knees in place and therefore have less knee pain following a long run. The nice thing about the Spanx version is that they hold your tummy in place, too. These capris are comfortable, friendly on the knees and core during a run, and make me look more svelte in the process. What's not to love?! I also should mention that they are easier on and off than other compression capris. Thank you, Spanx. I was a little skeptical of your brand and the price point, but I am a firm believer now (pun intended).

Best. Pants. Ever. If I could wear these every day I'd be so happy. I feel snug, tucked-in, and so comfortable. I've never been a fan of the spandex pants, but I fully intend to start a collection of these. You won't regret spending the money. I was nervous about the price, but with the Zappos free shipping and free return policy, you just can't lose.

These pants are so worth the money. I would buy one for each day of the week if I could. In my opinion I look 10 lbs slimmer which makes me want to hit up the gym so I can look this good all the time. Tight but comfortable...I feel supported in all the right places.

These rock! I have been looking for pants like these for so long! First of all, I'm very active and I like things to stay in place when I run. Unlike most pants and shorts, which are way too low cut, these stay in place over my tummy. That's one of the other best parts, they stay in place! They are also extremely flattering. I get so many compliments. Thanks Spanx for once again being a woman's best friend.

These pants are pretty darn slimming through the thighs. Smooth over all that needs to be smoothed over. My only complaint was that when I was trying them on, I could see my black and white stripped granny panties through the tush when I bent over. So they're a tiny bit see-through, but I think the problem is easily solved by not wearing those type of underwear under them. I tried on 3 other pairs of compression/slimming work out pants and these were the most flattering. Super comfy too.

The most money I've ever spent for gym pants and ended up as the best pant I've ever spent most money on! Love it!

Love these pants ran in them a few times. I am 5'2", wear a size 11 to 13 and bought these in an x-large and these pants have worked great. I also bought the more expensive Spanx power knee pant and when I tried them the waist kept rolling down not sure if it is because I am short. The Spanx active shaping have a shorter waist and I have not had any issues with the rolling. They are comfortable and dry fast as well.

These Spanx are wonderful! They are true to size. I am 5'7" and the length is perfect. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite workout pant to date. The smooth front makes it very comfortable and modest without underwear. The bonus is that you also look smooth without excessive compression. The only improvement I would prefer is a little lower waist.

These pants were very comfortable, I ran a 1/2 marathon in them with no problems. Just the right amount of compression.

These are not for me. They are surprisingly comfortable despite the very tight fit. Actually they don't feel that tight but LOOK very tight on. I am not comfortable wearing such tight pants around others. But I did like the sleekness it gives you and my little tummy disappeared. I would recommend if you already like these types of tight workout pants. For reference, I am a size 10 in pants and the size Large was the right fit. I am also 5'11 and they hit below the knee.

I love these! My favorite workout pants. I even wear them with bug sweaters/shirts. They home me in all the right places : ) they never stretch out .

These are my go to fav leggings! I’ve purchased multiple pairs over time because I’ve been wearing them for years. I don’t agree with the reviews that state they are ‘see through’. I have not experienced this with the multiple pairs I have purchased. Great fit, snug, keep everything tucked in, as they are designed to. Love em, highly recommend them!

I love Spanx merchandise, but had no idea they made leggings. So glad I found them! Great material and very flattering. They really hold you in and smooth everything out. Highly recommend!

Great fit. I think they would be flattering on anyone. I am 5'5", 140lbs and a medium fits perfectly, not too tight and easy to get on.
