The toe bed of this shoe is extremely narrow, even for my very narrow foot. My toes actually went numb. The area around the arch of the foot is strangely wide, making it really hard to adjust the laces from narrow at the toe to wide at the arch. Otherwise very comfortable and accommodating to my orthotic insert ~ but since the orthotics are stiff they squeaked loudly on the surface beneath the shoe insert.

I have been looking for hiking shoes for a long time. I keep trying different ones. I have a very narrow heel and a high arch. I wear orthotics. I thought these shoes might work and wore them around the house off and on for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, with my orthotics inside, they feel tight in a funny way - from the sole up to the top of the shoe. My foot feels really squeezed. So, these will have to go back and I will have to keep looking.

These shoes fit well, accurate to size and width. The feel of the shoe is a little stiff, the sole lacks flexibility. What I love about this shoe is the ultra comfortable heel back! I just had surgery on the back of my heel 6 weeks ago and am still very tender in that spot, but miraculously, this shoe back felt comfortable. I only wish that it was a better looking shoe. It's really not my style. I think it looks very clunky and masculine. I'm going to see if this brand has another model that I might prefer for its style and probably return these.

These were the correct size for me, but they are painful to walk in! The tongue is stiff and digs into my ankle. They are also very wide from the outside as I look down at them. And they squeak when I walk on my hardwood floors.

So disappointed in this rather expensive shoe. I bought it for hiking, but it is not stable enough for 4,000 footers, so I decided to wear them for teaching, where I am standing for 2 hours straight. They are very comfortable for this purpose; however, the inner side of the shoe is starting to tear. There is now a small hole in both shoes in the same spot. I cannot believe it since I only wear the shoes twice a week and have not had them for that long. I have never purchased a shoe this expensive before, so I expect it to last, but it has not. I need to contact the company and let them know. So bummed.

DO NOT BUY THESE! They are made in China and are super cheap! I have barely worn mine - maybe 10 times, and the soles are already worn. Also, you can NOT walk on any wet surface without tread slipping. They are very rigid and not comfortable. I have narrow feet and find these to be too narrow. Loosening up the laces helped. I can't speak for arch support because I have my orthotics in them. I wish I could return them for a refund. The biggest piece of crap shoes I have ever purchased. What a waste of money. These shoes are pretty worthless. I won't be buying Scarpa again. Sticking with Keen or Merrell
