YEAH!!!! After trying on more shoe brands and styles than I thought possible, I have finally found a pair of shoes that fit! As probably most people have, one of my feet is smaller than my other. And I have narrow ankles. These shoes fit the bill! I plan on these being my everyday shoes, for walking and hiking.

I like Scarpa for the good fit in the heel and roomy toe box. These are attractive too. My feet run a bit narrow and I find this to be one of the better fitting brands.

I love these shoes! They are the best hiking shoes I've ever owned. My foot is on the wider side, and these are very comfortable over a variety of terrain and for longer distances. I used suede protector on them, and the mud guard is easy to wipe clean.

I went through about 8 other pairs of shoes trying to find an approach shoe that fit right. After all the other attempts, I absolutely love this shoe. It fits great! It's a solid shoe! Snug and light. And I even love the way it looks. Total Bonus!

Wow. These hiking shoes have great promise. I haven't gone out with them yet, but plan to this weekend. I can't wait to see how they manage steep slick rock hikes around my home town. They look good, don't scream with wild colors (more to my liking), and feel like a very well-made shoe. I've had my current hiking shoes for 13 years and these feel like they will last a long time. A good investment. I bought three styles/brands, and this shoe is by far the most supportive and comfortable. Highly recommended!

These shoes fit like a glove. They provide great support and traction. All shoes should fit this well. I bought a second pair of Scarpas that were canvas instead of leather. I am expecting them to be equally great!

These are my most favorite shoes ever! They are extremely comfortable and I would definitely buy another pair! I have done a ton of hiking in Southern Utah with these and they are perfect for outdoor adventures!

Finally! Shoes that can handle a disc golfer! Firm sole and the very best toe protection ever. Awesome shoe for stumpy terrain. Every disc golfer who is tired of paying top dollar for shoes only to find the toe piece separating after a month should own a pair.

I decided on the Scarpa Crux because I wanted a casual wear/ lace up shoe that did not look like a bulky hiking shoe or a tennis shoe. I had never worn Scarpa before...but based on the excellent reviews, I decided to try the Scarpa Crux. So glad that I bought these shoes! Extremely comfortable! These will be my everyday wear shoes for the winter (exterior is suede). I have also received many compliments. Thank you, Zappos...and thank you, Scarpa!

Love them - I wanted a pair of shoes for casual wear with jeans, track pants, etc. that didn't look too sporty. These are very attractive, and super comfortable right out of the box. The laces do keep coming undone and the tongue slips to the side - make sure you lace through the loop on the tongue. I will probably have to get different laces that will stay tied.

I've been looking for the perfect pair of hiking shoes for a long time. I love these shoes. They have great grip for hiking over rocks, are very comfortable and supportive (my feet don't feel tired at the end of the day) and look very stylish without drawing attention to themselves.

This is my first purchase of hiking shoes so I didn't quite know what to expect. These are comfortable, although a bit stiffer than athletic shoes. The style of these is great - I wanted hiking shoes that don't look like ugly-blah-neutral nature shoes and these definitely have the stylishness that I wanted. They seem very durable and seem as though they will last a long time. I look forward to taking them with me when I travel to more "rugged" locations like the Grand Canyon, hiking Machu Picchu or the rain forest, etc. I think these will definitely do the trick as great outdoor shoes.

I ordered EU 40.5, which is the correct size. But, the toe box is way too low. It was hurting immediately. No way I could hike or walk for hours with these. I know they have to fit snugly, but this was beyond. My toenails would turn black from brusing if I used these. They are going back.

These are cool shoes. I would have kept them except they were a tiny bit too short and the tongue is not gusseted at all - not good for walking in desert landscape and that's all we have here in southern New Mexico. So, back these go. If they were a bit longer, I might have kept them just as street shoes because they seem nicely made and they look cool. I wear an 8, usually a 38, but I ordered these in size 39 as recommended.

Overall I liked these, just not enough to keep them. They felt like they ran a little narrow for my (slightly) wide foot. And the sole was a bit more rigid than I like for hiking. The leather may have stretched with wear, but I didn't want to risk it, especially since they felt a little too "clompy". Grateful for Zappos return policy!

I usually wear a size 9, occasionally an 8.5; the 41 was too big, and the 40.5 fit pretty well. The length was good, and the width worked, but they weren't as comfortable as the Scarpa Zen Pro. Ultimately I went with something lighter (La Sportiva TX3).

These shoes are deep and therefore I can fit my orthotic in them without too much pressure on top my high arch. They are not that stiff (as mentioned in other reviews) but stiffer than the usual "flexible" shoe. Have not yet tried them on wet, hilly, slippery pavement - my usual walking conditions, but they surely gripped nicely on the wood floor!

After wearing around the house a bit Went on a 10 mile hike which included scrambling up and over a steep ridge to go down to another high Mtn lake. Only one small hot spot but no blisters and traction was great. Balls of feet got sore at end of hike but we did do a lot of climbing.

Well, I love these shoes and they are great on slick rock hikes. Unfortunately, after having them for only 6 months there is significant wear in the suede area where the purple strapping runs up to the laces. It feels like the suede was not sturdy enough for the tension of those lace straps. It's only on the inside of the right show. Fortunately, Zappos is great. One simple phone call and I have a new pair coming! Hopefully these will last a long time!

very comfortable for my feet as I have a bunion and hammer toes. The tongue does slide to the side on both shoes, but since it's hard to find shoes that fit I may keep them anyhow, even though it exposes my sock. They look and feel great and should do good here in Montana, haven't worn them outside yet, as I'm still deciding.

Very comfy, trekked around San Francisco in the Scarpa Crux. The toe is a little bit narrow for a "sneaker" type shoe, even with the lacing that goes so far down. Plenty of support and more stylish than a bulky walking type sneaker.

The recommended women's size 8, is actually European size 39.5. An 8 is in between 38-39. These are great shoes, but sized too big.

It's a really nice looking shoe. But I was a bit miffed that the product information made a deal about it being an Italian company-but the shoe is made in China, like just about everything else in the world! It seems a bit expensive, and... I wound up going with a kids size Timberland I found at my local shoe place for half the cost. (I'm sure it's also made in China). I prefer smooth leather, anyway. So, sorry Zappos. I still love you. But I'm returning this.

Overall, these shoes are super cute, & I really wanted them to work. I understand they are tech approach shoes, but comments about comfortable toe box and natural toe spread made me hopeful that these would work me for hiking and trail running with light climbing. Unfortunately, I need a wider toe box. I think they will be great for someone who doesn't need that or is able to put up a tight toe box for the intended purpose.
