Very cool shoe, I purchased the black with blue. It seems to run a little small so we are sizing up 1/2 a size. Other than that my son loves them.

We bought these for my 4 year old son to wear to a wedding with his navy suit. He looked so handsome and very modern but the shoes rubbed his feet and gave him little blisters! I felt so terrible because this has never happened. I think I probably should have put a longer pair of socks on him but the ones that went with the suit were short so right above the sock, the shoe rubbed, and hurt him. He used them all day and danced into the night so maybe that also had something to do with it! Overall, super cute.

These shoes run MUCH smaller than others. My son is typically a 13.5. When I measured the size 1 Vans against his other 13.5 shoes they were a good half inch shorter.

Super stylish for a little boy! My 5.5 year old loves to wear them. Love that they have Velcro for easy on & off. I have them 4 stars because they run small! My son's feet measure as a youth size 1, but we had to exchange for a full size bigger (size 2) in order for them to fit him lengthwise. He's still in a size 1 in Stride Rite.

These were so cute on my son, but he got horribly blisters from walking long distances in them. Not a practical shoe, but OK for short wears.

Easy on/off for my 4yr old. Cute. True to size. The blue ones I got don't glow in the dark. I had told my son they do and then we found out they don't, so he was disappointed.

I bought these for my almost 4 year old and they are super cute. The only negative is that they are suede which is probably not the best choice for a preschooler. Some areas are already looking a little worn after a week.

The shoes look great, but they did not withstand the foot braking of a first time skateboarder. The bottoms had to be glued back on (thank you shoe goo!) after 2 months. My 6 year old usually goes through shoes every 3-4 months due to growth spurts. This is the first of his shoes that he did not outgrow. The price makes it less painful and we will buy these again for the 'cool factor'.

These shoes are super cute and my 4 year old loves to put them on by himself. They've caused some blisters so he can't wear them every day. They also run really big - we had to reorder a complete size smaller to get a fit. These have better arch support than most I've seen in this category.

Love these and just ordered them in the red check, as my 9 yr old goes through shoes pretty fast... Considering his activity level, I think these hold up really well, and I like that they are velcro but they don't look toddler-ish. My son knows how to tie laces but doesn't care or notice when it needs to be done, so these are just easier and still look cool! Not giving them 5 starts, though, because the fabric around the sole started coming apart, but not until after 3 months, and like I said, he's pretty rough on shoes and wore these literally every day.

Not a good fit

Perfect style for kids that run around a lot. No lace is perfect for them. Size runs a size smaller, in my opinion.

My son tried to break these in but he continually got blisters on his heels. I tried to work the heels to make them more comfortable to no avail.

Bought them for my six year old. There's a rudge in the heel that cause bad blisters. I wish we would've known they were rubbing his heel when we could send them back ?

These shoes were such a disappointment. After 3 months of wear the Velcro straps have fallen apart!!! I almost always buy my son Vans, and I've never had this issue.

Thought these shoes would be great for my son (9). He says they are heavy to walk in and prefers a light tennis shoe. If your kid is more into comfort over style, pass on these shoes.

These were tight and too narrow which we didn’t realize til after my son wore them off to school.

We buy these exact shoes repeatedly every season for our kids. I am not sure if this time around or this size had an issue but the velcro came unattached from the fabric so they wouldn't really stay on my son's foot!

This shoe looks fantastic, but as I’ve found with adult Vans...the heel is so stiff; blisters are unavoidable. My 5 year old isn’t going to be wearing them in as he says they hurt too much and has got blisters from them on two separate occasions. Such a shame- will be returning. Also this shoe runs around half a size too small
