My 6 year old loves these. He is sometimes hard to fit b/c his foot is slender and his heel will slip out, but these fit great. Also, they look super cool.

Got these for my son after his last Vans finally crapped out. I will say they are more expensive than other shoes I have purchased and the last pair were a gift- but dang do these last. My son is super hard on shoes and these outlasted about 3 other cheap pairs from target. worth the investment and they look great too.

The boys love these! Both my boys are wearing Vans this season and both are happy with how comfortable and versatile this sneaker is. My big one said they are the "strongest, fastest shoes" and the little one is just happy he gets to match his big brother! I want to say that the sizing ran half a size too small, but there's always the possibility both boys needed a half size up at the same time. Either way, exchanging for the right size was a breeze with Zappos excellent service.

These vans are great shoes for kids. I always get them for my boys for school shoes. They fit well, hold up well and look sharp (and are cool!).

Great school shoes! They fit my 5-year olds wide foot great. Run a bit big but overall, comfortable for an active kid.

We're onto our second pair...they are smart, cool and my son's fav sneaker... so much so he wore his old shoes till his toes hurt... Very nice shoe. Perfect for school. Can be worn all day, comfortable and still gym-friendly.

I love these on my 3 year old. I splurged a little, but he keeps ripping up cheaper sneakers by using them to brake his scooter. These are sturdy, and good quality. The sole is thick - the first day he wore them, his preschool teacher commented that he had grown a 1/2 inch. They are a bit stiff and he complained about the back rubbing the first day, but seem fine after a little wear. They also seem to run a little small.

Great shoes. They did run a 1/2 size small on my son. He's a preschooler and comfortably wears a size 11 (measured at store). We ordered the 11's and had to return them for the 11 1/2's which fit perfectly. My son loves them. My experience with doing an exchange with Zappos was excellent. Zappos was sending a replacement before I had sent the smaller shoes back for no extra charge.

These are the best! These are the third pair of Old Skool Vans I have bought for my son. They are comfortable and durable, and they look great with everything.

I bought these shoes for both my son's ages 4 and 8. My oldest son has super skinny feet and the straps were too long. My younger soon has fat feet and they fit great. They are wearing great and they are by far his favorite pair of shoes.

Overall, cool shoes at a great price (and Zappos customer service sets the bar for all online retailers). The fit is a little wide for my kids' feet, so the Velcro straps end up being too long, but that's true of most shoes on my kids' feet. Maybe all companies make kids' shoes for the Huskiest Common Denominator. The glow in the dark function is mighty, which makes the shoes really fun! If these shoes are worn outdoors, they will glow for 8 hours or so afterward and the glow is so bright at first that they glow even in a lot room. Construction is somewhat poor. The rand/sole started separating from the canvas the first week, but hasn't gotten any worse. And the glow in the dark squares began peeling off after the first couple of weeks. Overall though, I'd buy these shoes again. They're falling apart quickly in purely aesthetic ways but everything my kids wear does and at this price, it's not a deal breaker.

We have been buying this style for our son for a few years now and they are great but for some reason this particular version runs a little small. We are going up a half size. Oh, and the glow in the dark action is a big hit!

My son is not great with fine motor skills but wanted to have shoes that didn't scream "Velcro! not cool!" These shoes, to him, were cool. The price, to me, was cool. Everyone's happy and these are sturdy enough to last a while. While they looked a little wide, we found them to be just fine.

Bought these for my grandson when we were having trouble finding something to fit him. Had to order a size larger than usual but they now fit great and so far have held up to everyday wear for about 2 months without a problem.

My 6 year old loves these Vans and they even glow in the dark. They are very durable and have lasted longer than the canvas vans I usually buy. Good buy and worth every penny.

This is the 7th pair of these I have purchase over10 years. Cannot beat the quality! Hold up to playground wear and tear.

My son loves these shoes. They are easy for a 5 year old to put on and take off. They have really help up to some rough use.

I bought these for my 6 year old nephew. He is not quite ready for laces so these were the perfect, cool alternative. They seemed to fit pretty true to size, maybe a slight bit of room for him to grow into them. He's a size 13 and I got him the 13.5 and they were great. They seem really good quality too, which is nice because he'll be wearing them a lot.
