really cut, but a bit more solid than i was looking for. My son loved these shoes and was super excited to put them on, but when he did, he found that they weren't as flexible as he needed and the back near his heel was a bit too padded causing rubbing and a blister quite quickly.

Very disappointed with these shoes and I love Vans! These particular design were completely destroyed in 2 months and my son didn’t even wear them ever day. The Velcro straps came apart — the seams are coming apart — the rubber sole is separating from shoe. They cost a lot for them to last not even 2 months. Other pairs he has owned at least lasted 6 months.

Sneakers look very cool. My son just turned 5 and have been wearing old skool Vans with the hook and loop for 3 years. They fit his big feet nicely and the hook and loop in his big size (2) is great. Only prob w these were they were too stiff and he got cuts on back of his ankles. We bent them around a bit and that helped.

Bought these for my 5 year old. Great fit and durable. He loves the flames. Said they make him run fast! Lol.

Got a pair of these to use when I go longboarding, and they've been holding up to low-speed footbraking much better than my previous skate shoes. They're also comfortable, and stay on properly. The velcro is great for people that sort of ignore shoe laces, as they make sure that the sneaker stays on when you need it to. There were two minus sides: -The shoes are a size large. I had to order a full size down. -Once I had the correct size, it was a bit of a struggle to get the inner soles out of the sneaker so that I could put my orthotics in. The thinner one I have (which tapers off towards the toes) fit just fine, but the older, thicker one didn't fit. So, I'd recommend that people with orthotics (unless they are the type that taper off or have no toe area) to order half a size down from their normal shoe size instead of a full size down to ensure a proper fit.

Very disappointed in this purchase. The Velcro closures Came completely unstitched and fell apart. I expected more from a pair of Vans. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing these if you want shoes that last more than a month.

This is a follow up review! While I was incredibly disappointed in the quality of these shoes Zappos costomer service went beyond my expectations to resolve this. They took it upon themselves to refund me for the shoes and apologize for the quality. I so appreciate this as I know they did not make the shoes, but still took responsibility to make sure a costumer was happy. Won't buy these shoes again, but you can believe I will be purchasing from Zappos.com again soon!

Bought this for our 3 kids music recital. This is a stylish shoe that can match casual or dressy attire, but is still comfortable enough that our kids opted to wear it to school sometimes. I cannot comment on the durability since our kids are only wearing them on special occasions.

These are super cool looking shoes, but my toddler complains that they are too tight and squeeze his toes. I can't convince him to wear them anymore, even though they fit lengthwise! Otherwise, easy to put on and sturdy shoes!

I reviewed these earlier, saying they were sturdy and that I loved them. Two and a half months later, the sole has completely ripped off of both shoes. My kid is rough on shoes, but two and a half months still seems like a short lifespan for a shoe at this price. I've taken a few stars off because I'm now ordering another pair of shoes.

My son loves these. Quality is great and they are wearing very well considering my busy 8 year is tough on his shoes. Definitely recommend.

I had to buy multiple sizes in order to ge the proper fit. Shoe runs at least 1 full size small. They are super stylish but the sizing is way off.
