I wear a 8.5 wide. These were wide enough if I adjusted the straps, but then you could see the velcro. It didn't look good. The leather straps were cutting into the my foot on the insides. My toes were right at the edge of the sandal.

I wanted these sandals to work, but they were not comfortable at all, so sadly, I had to return them. The light arch hit at the wrong spot and the footbed stuck out quite a bit beyond my toes. Perhaps this brand just runs large. The sandal is well made, but Aetrex or Naot sandals fit my foot better and are super comfortable - but perhaps that is because I have a high arch.

I hate these shoes. For the price, they should be perfect. However, they squeak and are very noisy. That is their biggest drawback. Second would be the "adjust-ability." There is a strap that runs down the length of the top of the foot that is crooked when you attempt to let out the Velcro to accommodate a wider width. Also, the unused then Velcro sticks out and grabs on other things. I would totally return these, but I have been wearing them in hopes that they would grow on me.

I own four different pairs of Alegrias - from the mary janes to the boots. This is the first pair that I have bought that are too narrow and not true to size. So if you are used to Alegria, buy a size bigger or stay away if you have wider feet.

So sad these sandals did not work for me. A family member recommended the Alegria brand and I was so excited when I saw these sandals. They looked just like what I wanted. I have plantar fascitis and was looking for a shoe/sandal that would help. I did not find them comfortable and I thought for the price they would be so comfortable. No - that was not the case ... so I'll just keep looking. Zappos took them back. Zappos is a great place to look for shoes - their service is excellent!

I love Alegria shoes, but they missed the mark on this saddle. The saddle widens at the toes, one looks like almost a platypus. I need comfortable shoes, so I’m willing to give up some style, however there are a lot of comfortable saddles out there that also look stylish.

I wanted to like these - a bit clunky but cute. But the strap around the heel is very large and loose and there is no way to tighten it adequately. I didn't even try on the second shoe - just crazy wide in the heel.
