I read the reviews and ordered a half size down, they ended up being too small. I have slightly wide feet, a high arch and 15” calfs. I think my normal size would be a good fit

Wow; these are beautiful boots! Sadly I will be returning them because I have a narrow heel, and my foot kept sliding forward in the boot. It was also pulling my sock off at the heel as I was walking in them. I have toothpick legs and wanted a knee high boot that was tight around the calf. These fit the bill in that area. The top of the boot did hit the backs of my knees when I was sitting which would bother me, but I am sure with time they would actually soften because of the leather. I wished these would have worked.

Beautiful boots! Awesome color but the shaft is a little snug causing some slouching.

Great boots! Soft leather, well made and beautiful. They run BIG...at least 1/2 size, maybe even a whole size.

Loved the idea- but...apparently I have wide calves. I have 15" calves (hello 5 mile runs) and the boots are 14-something around. Super cute, but I looked like I had sausage legs. The bottoms were red with some red accent stitching. They ran 1/2 big, I am usually always a 9, had to swap for an 8 1/2. They don't have any arch support. Sadly, they went back.

I loved the look of these boots and the quality is definitely there, but they don't have the look and feel I thought they would on my feet - they feel a bit "boxey" and I kinda felt like Frankenstein walking around in them. In contrast, I have another pair of boots (Frye Veronica) that the fit has more of a custom feel and I don't feel like Frankenstein - I'm probably returning these.

I wish they were a half inch taller or shorter, hit right in the middle of knee cap. They are still cute though. A little hard to get on and off.

I love these boots, but they squeak loudly. I cannot wear them to the office, it is that bad, but I do love wearing them around town.

4 stars for being too narrow. I ordered a 7.5, following the advice of the other reviewers, but they were too narrow. I do have wider feet, so I ordered an 8. The width was good, but the 8 was too long. These boots are beautiful, great quality! If they ever make them in wider sizes, I'll buy a pair in a second!

I'm 6' and these came right to my knee! However, I found the calf area didn't hit me at the calf but a bit above and as I have fairly skinny legs, and the boot puffed out a bit above my calf area which wouldn't have been a deal breaker.. but they did indeed run a full size larger.

Really soft leather, comfortable right out of the box, and a stable tread on the bottom. I am 5'5" and the boot hit right at the knee for me. Looked wrong with at the knee skirts and dresses, perhaps I'm a little too short for the style. Otherwise beautiful and well constructed. Sad to return.

These were great looking and sturdy boots! Loved the leather and the red soles; however, I wish they were full zip and the calf wider, my calves did not fit, have to return.

I bought this shoe in brown and black-- I'm keeping the brown ones. The black are pretty, but (on both) this style has the leg of the boot very floppy- the laces are pretty, but kind of a pain to unlace and adjust. My legs are pretty skinny, but I think these may be hard to get over jeans otherwise. Also, on the black ones, I wasn't in love with the red stitching along the seems. The boots are pretty though. The finish is nice (especially on the brown ones, shiny but A little vintage as well). Also, the black ones were just a bit big on me-the brown ones fit though, so it may have been a fluke.

Sadly, had to return these. I have long legs, and I was thrilled to find a "knee high" boot that actually is! But despite having very normal size calves, to make these fit comfortably, I had to loosen the laces and then I couldn't tie them except with a knot, which looked dumb. The pair I received had obviously already been shipped out and returned. There was carpet lint on the soles and heels. And there was a small gouge in the leather of one foot. If you're tall and have skinny calves, these would be great boots! I didn't care for the packaging/shipping. They were actually folded in half to fit in a box. That's not how relatively pricey boots should be packaged. Maybe that's how this manufacturer treats their product? These boots should have a full zip. They're way too tall to have a little 1/3 ankle zip.

I pretty much live in riding boots & skinny jeans from late Fall to Spring. These boots are absolutely gorgeous! I ordered the black rustic/teak rustic in order to mix and maych with both black and brown. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for "overall satisfaction" because they run a half size too big. I wear an 8.5 in most boots and shoes but my feet were swimming in the 8.5. (I'm returning these for a size 8.) Also, if you have muscular calves, these boots might be a bit difficult to slide into. The shaft is narrow and tall. I agree with some other reviewers about the smell of the leather. It is overpowering at first but that's the smell of quality leather! My Old Gringo boots smelled exactly the same in the beginning. Overall, a gorgeous boot and I can't wait to wear these babies!

A beautiful and unique boot. I loved the leather lacing and red threading and red sole. I find they are true to size but run narrow and I have never worn a wide shoe. Not sure I can wear socks with them. I would prefer if the shaft had been lined but you are able o appreciate the good quality leather. The lower zip and lacing make them not a great airport shoe, however, take a few minutes to get them on but really stylish. The distressing is obvious so not a dress/formal or office boot. A little heel cushioning would be nice too. Would buy more from this company.

I loved the look of these but no way could they fit my size 11 since 6th grade foot. I was disappointed

I really wanted these boots to work because the calf was adjustable - no giant gaping space when boots are too big, and no issue closing them when too small. The issue was they were too tall. I'm 5'5 and the height hit the back of my knee.

Even as a narrow calf boot this was still pretty big on me. And the flap intended to guard the back of your calf against the laces flopped around a bit which didn't seem well-constructed. I should have noticed how tall that shaft was as well because it hit too high at the knee. Love the distressed look and the stitching but sending back.

I really wanted to keep these. I loved the style and they looked great on, but they were just too narrow and the zipper crimped just enough on my leg (due to the length of the shaft) that it rubbed. The leather may have stretched enough eventually to have overcome the narrowness, but the zipper would have always been an issue. Almost all of the reviews have commented on the narrowness and shaft length. If you would fix those two things, you’d sell a lot more of these boots.

I think the reviews that they fit bigger than usual are wrong & misleading. I am between 9 & 9.5, read the recommendations to go down a whole size and ordered size 9. They are so I tight I cannot wear them! ?????? I they're really cute, but I don't recommend sizing down!!! Unfortunately, I was away when they arrived and hubby threw out the packaging so now I might not be able to return/ exchange it & I'm stuck with a $300 shoe I can never wear.... ??

When I got these boots, I LOVED the touch of them and the feel of them. The inside is beautiful. The red sole and red stitching is amazing. The style is beautiful and interesting. However, they come up too far on the calf (I am 5'5", 130# and wear a 7 1/2 shoe). I bought these in a 7 1/2. The length of the boot was fine but the box was so narrow that each step was agony. They are so beautiful and so good looking that I thought of buying a shoe stretcher and toughing it out. But the shaft is not only too high (you could fold down and show the fabulous inside leather), there is also a hard piece of leather on the back that sticks up even higher than the boot shaft and sticks into the back of your thigh when you sit down. With only a few tweaks of design, this could be the perfect boot. As is, not so much.

These seem relatively comfy but they seem to run small for my foot. They also buldged at the top back of the boot, which I hate. I have skinny legs so this might not be a problem for most. But I'd definitely try at least 1 half size up. Looks-wise: loved the look of the rustic leather and it was high quality

These are beautiful boots & I really wanted to like them. I initially bought a size 9, but they were too tight, although I liked the fit at the ankle & leg. I exchanged them for a 9.5, which then seemed to bunch up at the ankle (where the zipper is), and they felt very loose and uncomfortable. So unfortunately they will also be going back. :(
