I have 3 pairs of dainty (5 eyelets) because I like the feminine style (vs. the ones with way too many eyelets), a double tongue gray and hot pink, a washed blue/charcoal/yellow plaid, and a Chuck Taylor premium wool and leather. street shoes I wear 6. size 6 (UK 4/Euro 36.5) in converse fits me well, with a bit of room for thin socks. The toe box is just right (I have normal width feet, nothing too extreme). the lace-up is good for adjusting tightness. I used to wear them with loose lacing (like slip-ons) but soon realized that without holding in my feet, my feet would get tired after some walking. To walk with more comfort, always lace up your sneakers (not too tightly but not loosely) so that your feet will be supported. I really like my 3 pairs of converse and am trying my hardest NOT to buy too many pairs (even though there are some good sales and cute prints out there). ;-)

Classic Chucks with a bit more feminine flair - thanks to the less-chunky sole. Love the classic look...these always work!

Really love these! I am finding that I reach for them when I am looking for a casual, go to shoe. Lots of compliments. I find they run true to size, although appear narrow on the foot. I'm a minimal shoe running enthusiast so my foot has expanded some over the past few years with more relaxed fit shoes. I don't find this Dainty Ox narrow in an uncomfortable...it is mostly in appearance. And the question asked by Zappos in the survey as to the arch support on the shoe is misleading if you answer "no arch support" as it makes that seem like you are reporting a bad thing. Should be another option...maybe "minimal shoe without arch as expected for this type of shoe."

These are great shoes. They are classics and a closet staple. These are not as chunky as your classic Converse pair, they are as others have correctly pointed out, a bit more feminine. One, however, does not miss out on the comfort offered by the classic model.

Love these! They are a narrower fit than regular Converse and feel much less clunky. The sizing is also truer to women's sizes than regular Converse (I'm pretty much always a 9, was a 9 in these and was a women's 8.5 in regular Converse which were still a little loose). They do rub a bit in the heel (oddly worse when wearing socks) and they are a little tighter on the top of the foot.

This is my first pair of Converse shoes, and boy am I in love! They are super comfy, even after a full day on my feet. The arch support is nonexistent, but that hasn't seemed to affect my feet. Zappos is amazing - the shipping confirmation said they would arrive in 4-5 days, but the arrived in 2 (one was a Sunday). Great shoe, great company. I wear size 11 normally and bought the 11 in these shoes. Fit like a glove.

I bought these for my 14yo daughter. I got her normal size (in the regular lo cut chucks), but she said that these were much tighter than her other chucks. It took her a few wears for them to be comfy. We should have returned them for a larger size, but she waited so long to try them on and threw out the packaging. She likes them, but I think she would love them if we ordered a bigger size.

These are somehow way comfier than normal Chucks. I'm all about them. I hesitate to wear anything described as "dainty" but these are actually awesome.

Loving my new Cons! They fit pretty true to size and feel way less clunky than traditional Converse. I usually wear a 7 1/2 - 8 (US women), and I ordered an 8 in these since there are no half sizes. They feel good, comfortable even without socks. Happy happy joy joy! (Four stars max for comfort, but that is how I would rate all Converse. No arch support ever. You can either handle that or you can't, and as someone who mostly wears flip-flops, I'm used to it. If arch support is a must, you might want to try different brand.)

These look sleek and lovely in person! I couldn't get them to work for me, unfortunately. I ordered up to an 8 (usually a 7) and they were far too long. I could tell that a 7 would be too narrow for my feet, however, so I sent them back but not before my guy caught sight of them and fell in love! I re-ordered in a size 11 (he is a size 9) and he's barely taken them off since.

This has turned into my go-to pair of shoes with leggings, jeans, and capri pants. They felt narrow right out of the box, but that was easily fixed by loosening the laces at the widest part of the shoe. I bought size 9 for my 8 1/2 sized feet and they fit perfectly. Love the feminine styling!

Very cute rendition of the traditional Chuck that doesn't look as clunky on women. Looks great with skinny pants/jeans and shorts. Whole sizes only, so size up.

I love these Converse Dainty shoes! I mean, who can go wrong with a pair of classics? I will say that these shoes are a bit tight in the toes area, so be mindful of that when ordering. My baby toes were a bit red after wearing them throughout the day. But I hope with a little breaking in, this will alleviate the tightness around the baby toe area.

These shoes are SO cute and comfortable. The silver detailing makes them really feminine. These are perfect with jeans, shorts, skirts... Just about everything! I am a size 9 in women's, size 7 in men's, and these were a perfect fit with or without socks!

Love these, color and all! My first pair of Converse. They are narrow (I tied them loosely for my wide toe box, but perfect on my narrow ankles) and true to size, - glad I read the reviews...maybe not so 'dainty' in my size ten (I usually wear a 9.5, but these only come in whole, but is fine). No blisters or rubbing first times out and about, very comfortable considering there is not much padding in the sole. I am going to try the regulars in white next and see if I have a preference. By the way, love Zappos! Awesome site, service and shipping - rock solid job Zappos, keep up the great work!

I just got these in yesterday and I love them! The color is as shown. I am going to replace the white laces with some black ones. I wish converse made a 8.5. I am a size 9 and that is what I ordered, however the shoes do feel a bit long. They do run a bit narrow and I feel the 8 would be to small for me. All and all they are a super cute pair of shoes and I'm sure they will become a favorite this summer!

Ordered a size 8 (this style is not available in 1/2 sizes), I normally wear size 7 or 7.5. It is a little loose but with an addition of a low cut sock it fits almost perfect. The style is a little more narrow than the original style converse. Really dainty (hence the name), great style for a women. Will be wearing these a lot this summer. Looking to purchase more colors.

I absolutely love the Dainty Ox Converses. I was looking for a new pair of Converses and kept coming back to these and at the time there were only a couple reviews but I'm glad I chose these. As many others have said these do run much more narrow than other Converses and the "platform" is much thinner. Honestly none of this is a problem as long as you untie/loosen the laces enough; make sure you do it all the way down the shoe to adjust and not just the top portion or it will feel much tighter and probably uncomfortable. It took some time to break in, like all Converses, but these are absolutely lovely and my favorite. I love being able to wear them with shorts or a dress and not have it feel so clunky as with the low tops.

These are really great. Not too slim/flat like some of the newer womens' Chucks but not as bulky as the regular Chucks. They are fairly narrow - particularly at the front. Nice quality and otherwise pretty comfortable.

I originally purchased these in a size 7 and they were way too small. I typically wear a 7.5. I had to exchange them for an 8. The 8 is a definitely big, however I don't think they will stretch too much.

These worked perfectly for my daughter. She has long, narrow feet and these fit her beautifully. They are less clunky than other styles, which is important when you are long and lean. There is never enough arch support in any shoe for us, but these at least are narrow.

I adore these sneakers but be forewarned - they do fit narrow. I have narrow feet, usually can't wear regular width and these are great for me - heels don't come out at all & the toe box is just right. I'm typically between 8AA & 8 1/2AA, and these in size 8B fit perfectly. Not much cushioning but comfortable for kicking around.

Such a cute classic shoe. No complaints, plus you cannot beat Zappos for the quickest shipping and great selection as always.

Love them! It always takes me a while to break these in, so I wore them for a short walk yesterday. They just rubbed a little and I can tell they will be perfect. I love the more feminine look of the "dainty" style, it's so cute!

Love these sneakers! I have not owned a pair of Chuck Taylor's in several years but remember them being sort of clunky and too wide for my feet. This style of Converse fits my narrow foot very well and I like how the sole is not as think as the classic style. I love wearing them with jeans and casual pants and know I will get a lot of use out of them. Would love to get red ones too!
