able to wear these in hospital setting since they are closed toed.

love the look, color and fit except they do run shorter than my other Danskos, in cluding the Abby which I bought at same time. i have just ordered the Abby in black as well. I may try the 39 in the Sam because i want and "need" a red shoe for travel, but I've never had good luck with upsizing. Daggone

These are my fave summer/fall shoes. Can't wait to order more colors.

I wear a European size 40, but after reading the helpful reviews, I ordered a 41. It fit beautifully. I loooove the red in this shoe. It makes me happy every time I even look at it. The foot bed is cushioned, but the sole is sturdy so your foot isn't slightly rotating as you walk which causes my legs to feel tired and cramped at the end of the day. I am ordering another pair in a different color today. Probably wear them all winter...even if it ever snows again.

Love the colors. I own several Danskos and I am a size larger in this style. Toe box feels snug my regular size.

This is a classic Dansko shoe. I love the support. The Taupe color is neutral which I like. I am a classic 7 M in size and the 37 fit really well.

Hey! Great shoes! Bought to replace a 5-year old version of very similar style Dansko used to make in suede. Was surprised, however, that these run small. My toes were smushed at the front in the 37, my typical Dansko size. Exchanged for a 38 and they fit great! A helpful design feature is the elastic on strap combined with the buckle - flexes while you move and lets you control the size throughout the day, and whether you're wearing socks or going barefoot.

This is actually the third pair of the Dansko Sam that I have received. The first pair was too small. I usually take a 40 in Dansko, and found I needed a 41 in this shoe, so I returned them for a 41 (I am a size 9 W). The next pair (41) was the wrong color, but the box was labeled correctly, and so these went back. The 41 fit perfectly however, and I would have kept them except for the color. The third pair was also the wrong color! Same scenario, box labeled correctly wrong color inside. I will return these as well :o( I do want to say however that Zappos is amazing and this is the first time I have had any trouble. I have ordered every pair of shoes I own from Zappos and will continue to do so.

Very cute, how ever they rubbed my bunion, my Dansko clogs to not rub my bunion. So sad, really wanted these adorable Mary Jane style to work.

I have picky feet, but I LOVE Dansko! I wear these all the time. They look cute with jeans and also dresses. I love that I get a little bit of height in these, and they're more comfortable than flats. The other day I walked about 2 miles in these without a problem. I do wear socks with these that just cover my toes, which makes a huge difference in how comfortable these are for walking and wearing all day. The one tiny gripe I have is that some of the colors were different from the photos. I first ordered the coral waxy burnished, and in person they were much redder than I expected. Then I got the burnished olive, which looked brown in the photos, but they were definitely green in person. I ended up going with the teak vintage, which are a perfect brown leather that goes with everything.

These clogs are great. I put them on and went to work and there was absolutely no breaking in period. After 9 hours on my feet in clinic I had no problems at all! I felt like I was walking on air all day. I love Danskos because of their great support and they last forever. I got these to replace a pair I've have for 10+ years.

Just a great shoe. I teach and am on my feet all day. Not sure what I would do without my Danskos. Yes... plural... :-)

Super comfortable teacher shoes.

These are my best shoes yet. The taupe is perfect in between and goes with everything. I was looking for a practical shoes that can be worn at my high end job, perfect shoe!!

I bought these shoes for my daughter who works in a museum standing at least four to eight hours a day. She loves the professional look and how comfortable they feel on her feet.

These shoes feel wonderful on my feet. I have several pairs of Dansko clogs and depend upon then to get through long work days on my feet. The soft cloth that lines the footbed is a new treat. The leather is beautiful and does not cut in at the sides as you might expect with this style. I got them in red. It’s a beautiful rich tone that will add a little zest to my rather staid work ensembles. Really cute shoes!!

I had to order a size up, size 40 for my 9/9.5 US size. Cannot beat the arch support if you have a high arch, high instep like me. I can stand in these all day. Unlike the clogs, no pressure over the instep. And very cute!

I usually wear size 39 (8 1/2 or 9) even in other Dansko shoes but in the Sam style they were way too short. I had read it online but since I never wear shoes larger than 9 I tried anyway. The 40s fit great - I’m glad I tried again.

These would have been perfect for me if they came in a wide width!!! Unfortunately the toe box was just too tight and the edge of the toe box would have cut into the top of my foot if I had attempted to break them in.

These shoes fit true to size. I have problems with my feet but these shoes are awesome! I can wear them all day with no problem. I wear them in summer and winter. They are so good that I have them in 3 different colors. I like the fact that they give me some extra height. They look great with my ankle length pants as well as regular length. My work requires a closed toe and a heal strap so these are perfect. I’ve received many compliments on them.

I already have this shoe in black. My new employer requires us to work in closed toed shoes so sadly, my Dansko sandals sit in the closet until the weekends now. I ordered this brown pair one size bigger than the black. I wear a 9 so I got this one in a 40 for a little more comfort.

I am absolutely in love with these shoes. They are my first pair of Danskos. I've never bought the brand before because my ankle would roll out of the top of the heel, but this style, with the ankle strap, keeps my foot secure inside, and my ankles happy. I get compliments on these often as a shoe that looks cute but comfortable: it's a light, fun clog...not clunky at all. The color is a really nice neutral; I've got some leather conditioner and waterproofing spray that I plan to use, because with such light leather, things like grass and dirt will show easily. I'm wearing these every day, and have to convince myself to take them off. I am smitten. As for size: I am normally a US 7. I ordered both the 37 and the 38...while the 37 felt a little tight at first, it has worked out, and the 38 was way too loose.

Love these shoes. They are almost as comfy as my Dansko clogs. I do have a wide foot and a high arch, and the strap was a little short for me. But I used an awl to put another hole in it, and know it's fine. The bottom end of the toe that goes across the foot is a little tight, but I'm hoping it stretches. Love the color because it goes with my fair skin. Yeah, the style is granola, but for a granola shoe, it's really cute.

I highly recommend the Dansko Sam for purchase. I have a lot of feet problems and own 6-7 prs. of Danskos. They are great for standing on concrete all day teaching school. I ordered this pair for a NYC trip. Did not have long to break them in. Walked all over Manhattan without aching feet! They look great with skirts, skinny leg jeans, and rolled up boyfriend jeans. I like the fact that they are dressier then the Dansko clog. I ordered 5 pair of shoes & returned 4 pair - no shipping. Go Zappos - no shipping cost!
