Oh my goodness, Zappos shipped my order so fast that I was wearing these beauties in less than 24 hours! The very first time I wore them I went door-to-door canvassing (on my feet for hours without socks) and received several compliments. With nice toe protection, breathable and comfy footbed, excellent arch support, and no break-in period required - my feet felt great afterward! Can't wait to wear these to every festival and theme park I visit this summer. They are a little on the heavy side, but the thick, well-placed strap ameliorates any potential problems so the weight of the shoe is a non-issue. They aren't chunky or clunky at all. As for fit, my feet are size 7.5 with very high arches and I usually wear 38 Dansko professional clogs to work everyday (I'm a floor nurse) - and, just as I had expected, Dansko Valerie fit just as well as my work clogs! I wear 37 in some of the other Dansko styles (usually sandals), so I had to decide whether to go a size up or down. If you're uncertain, definitely order the larger size for this style. It worked out brilliantly for me!

As suggested by others, I ordered a size larger than I normally take in Danskos and they fit great. At a local store, I tried on a pair my normal size. Just a little too tight over the toe. The larger size eliminated that problem. Cute shoe and most folks are amazed when I tell them their Danskos.

I love these sneaker/mary jane Danskos. They are super comfortable. I wore them all around England. I liked them because I could take one shoe for walking/bicycling, but also put on a black dress and feel (somewhat) dressed up (when traveling really light).

Saw these shoes and had to have them. I'm a working mom with 4 kids under 11 and am always on the go. These shoes are a comfortable way to get kids from school to piano, gymnastics, swimming, baseball and whatever else comes my way.

Fabulous shoe! Typical Dansko quality. I am on my feet all day. I wore these right out of the box and found them super comfortable. I get compliments on the every time I wear them too.

So comfortable! Even when I'm on my feet for 6 to 10 hours at work I never have to worry about my feet hurting. I also love the adjustable strap so I can have the perfect fit with or without socks!

I am a Dansko regular and these exceeded my expectations! Great shoe and great price. And, Zappos is my favorite Internet shopping source for customer service and for product quality and selection.

Dansko officiadoes: you all know that this brand, certainly where their clog type shoes are concerned, are not supposed to fit snug. I have a skinny-Minnie instep---these Mary Janes fit me well with a small slip in the heel as they are supposed to. I now own five of the canvas styles with the white rubber toes (killer cute): two of the lace ups, two clogs and now these Mary Janes. Count me obsessed! Oh, I wear a 6 shoe and 36 always in my Danskos! And a shout-out to Zappos' amazing service!

I love these shoes. I normally wear a size 8 (39) but had to go down a size in this shoe to a 38. Still plenty of room. I put a foam toe pad in the front to tighten up a bit. I got the red/pink color and I love them.

I had ordered these in the size listed for US 7 (black color). They were way too tight. I sadly sent them back. Before doing so, I went online to check reviews to see if many others had the problem I did. They just felt so tight across the upper toe area. Luckily, I noticed a few reviews saying that if they felt tight at all, you had the wrong size. I ordered these fun green ones in the next size up (listed for US sizes 7½-8). I was extremely happy to put them on and feel quite comfortable. I have worn them the past two days both with little socks and with bare feet. I do not have any abrasions or sore spots even though they are brand new. I absolutely love the thick rubber soul and arch support. I bought these shoes to wear on a trip to Japan this summer, where we will be walking a lot and also need shoes that stay on for running to catch the shinkansen, but come off fairly quickly for removal when entering Japanese homes. The green floral pattern is lovely. I do not regret my choice!

This is a cute and comfortable clog/mary jane. The thing about clogs you should know ahead of time is that the heel is supposed to be loose. Your toes should grip and bring the heel up when you take a step. Once I figured that out clogs became my favorite shoe. The arch support is amazing. I would walk and stand in these all day.

I love these shoes. I've also had the Dansko Vedas for about a year and love them. Some people have complained that they're a bit small but that's fine for me because I wear them without socks.

Love these shoes, not only are they cute but they are very comfortable...wore them the first day with not one ounce of discomfort! I wear an 8-8.5 and I ordered the 38...perfect fit.

These shoes are great. I stand on my feet all day at work and these shoes passed the 10 hour mark with flying colors. I have several pairs of Danskos, both open back, and these are the most comfortable by far. I had tried on Danskos in the past and thought I would not be able to tolerate the slipping heel, but the strap on the Valerie makes it feel more secure on my flat feet.

I work 40 hours a week (or more) hauling about a third of my body weight all on top of my 6.5 size feet (high school physics means that's a lot of pressure). My feet hurt daily, to the point where I didn't want to walk anymore. I read about these in my college's magazine as the "most comfortable secret...if you can afford it." I went out to a local store to try them on. They immediately felt great. When I put my tennis shoes back on, my feet started screaming. Even the shoe guy said people buy them, then come back a few days later and buy more. I bought the pair they had, but they only had my size in the beige, and I wanted a pair in black to work in. The next day I wore my normal shoes to work. Ouch! The second day, I wore my new Danskos with socks. My feet still hurt at the end of the day, but not nearly as badly. Today, the third day, I wore the Dankos with no socks. I was a little worried about blisters, but my feet are blemish free. What's more, my feet hurt less today than they did yesterday! I can see the ankle strap causing problems for some people, but I was surprised how much it didn't bother me. As far as style, I think they're cute and will work well with my jeans at work, as well as with my summer skirts. Cost was the biggest factor, but compared to the Nikes I bought last year for the same purpose, they were less expensive and feel far more durable. If they're still working well at Xmas, I'm buying my mom a pair!

I love these shoes. I got the 40 and I have a narrow foot and am almost a 9.5 in shoes and they fit great. Awesome foot bed!

Great shoe! I'm on my feet all day at work, and my feet never hurt when I get home. Ok, they're a little clunky, and the rubber toe isn't the most attractive, but the Mary Jane buckle is super cute.I typically wear an 8.5 to 9 shoe, and the size 39 were slightly big, but perfect fit with socks. And the adjustable buckle helps, too. I would definitely recommend these, and would buy another pair.

Fantastic shoe, haven't taken them off in 17 days! Comfortable is an understatement! Tha toe box is so roomy my little toes are so happy! Now I just need to decide which other colors to get!

Love these! Danskos are one of my favorite brands to wear. I wear a size 6 shoe--and the 36's of this style are perfect! Ordered from Zappos at 4 in the afternoon---and received them the next morning! Love them so much, I'm considering buying a second pair---so many cute colors to choose from!

I have had knee and foot pain for over a year. After taking the advice of my massage therapist to try Dansko shoes, I have found that wearing the Valerie for 45 days my pain is totally gone! Thank you Dansko and my therapist for the great advice! I will be purchasing more styles soon!

Outstanding! When I first saw these sneaker-style Danskos, I was absolutely smitten. They do not disappoint. Sizing is similar to other styles of Dansko. The soles are a little more flexible than their clogs, but they are nice and stable and the canvas is a plus for summer and casual wear. Virtually no break-in time. good but not overly firm arch support. A+, I want more colors in my closet!

High back rubs against heel badly. Not as comfortable as hoped for, but so cute. Really wished these would have worked.

Everyone thought these shoes were so cute. However, my left foot is larger and at "mary jane" part, my foot ached all day. So disappointed. But will try a tie shoe variety and hopefully, that will be more comfortable.

These are super cute shoes and I get lots of compliments. They are a little heavy, but otherwise very comfortable.

Love them! I teach first grade and I went from having painful feet to no pain at all. I give the shoes a 4 star rating only because they are a bit heavy. Although, it really doesn't take a way from the comfort. I am a 9 1/2 shoe size pretty consistently and the size 40 fit me perfectly. No break in time needed. Just slip those puppies on and go! Zappos, as always, was wonderful too. Quick delivery.
