For shame, why did you change a perfect shoe? 1123 perfect - new one that is supposed to be the same had pain for 2 days just from walking to my car. Please go back.

I like the shoes but the size is too small. I cannot wear them. I would like to return them and get a bigger size.

With New Balance shoes, the higher the number, the more support you can expect. This is the first time I've tried this particular model. I always wear 8-1/2, but with this pair, I had to send them back and get size 9. They are maybe a little wider because of that, but I have not noticed any problems. Actually, I am able to lace these more loosely than I do lots of other running/walking shoes, because the soles are very supportive. I have hypermobile, super-flexible feet - which is like walking on a bag of marbles, so I have to be very careful what I wear. The logos and trim mark these as athletic shoes, so I won't be trying to pass them off as dress shoes.

I have very wide feet these fit perfectly and are so comfortable. I have problems with balance and these shoes have helped so much. They are worth every penny spent on them.

I like the look of this shoe, the color as well as the style, and of course the comfort. It looks trendy and normal, not like I am wearing my custom orthotics.

These shoes were purchased for my mother-in-law and she loves them. She likes the support they give with the boarder toe box (she has diabetes) and the roller bar built into the shoes. She says she feels more stable while walking with the shoe helping her roll forward for her next step.

I just received a second pair of white W1540'S. I have over-pronation and arthritis in both feet and these shoes are wonderful. My ortho Dr. recommended these. The shoes are true to size, also.

This is a great shoe with good support. I have a narrow foot and high arch, and it is about the only shoe that I have found that really fits my foot.

New Balance has changed this shoe; it fits smaller than normal so order at least 1/2 size larger or whole size if you wear inserts. The width is narrower now also. It's still a great shoe. Would like to see gray/silver laces.

A great shoe for wide footed folks. Could have more room across the toes, but better than any other available. The previous shoe of this style felt wider and more comfortable.

These shoes are great for me! I have short wide feet with many problems, high arch for one. These keep me stable and give me the broad base I need. I've had other NB shoes but these help the most for me. Wish they were a little cheaper.

Perfect for the one who needs cushion and support. I'm not sure how much arch support is in the shoe bc I use orthotic inserts, thus I gave it average rating. I should have ordered a full size larger to accommodate the fact that these shoes run small and the extra space required for inserts. I haven't been able to power walk in years bc I'm losing the fat pads at bottom of my feet. The ball of one foot is especially bad. With these and my new Foot Leveler orthotics, I've started the power walking and no pain so far! Happy Dance Time. I'll buy another pair but larger. I should have exchanged these for a half size larger but the sole was so awesome, I didn't want to give them up for the transfer. :-)

If you are looking for hard to find shoes or even want to save money on the latest style I recommend Zappos. Zappos had the exact shoe that I needed and they upgraded the shipping to next day delivery for free! :)

Great shoe...truly EE or double wide as advertised. I thought I wore a 7.5, but bought an 8 instead. I can always count on New Balance. My last MB lasted 9 years with annual insole change.

How wonderful to find a tennis shoe with a toe box that is wide enough to accommodate my wide feet with the orthodic. Very comfortable. Yeah!

At first I ordered my normal size. But trying them on, they were just a tad short, so I used the return system with Zappos. The length is better, though the toe end seems wide. However, these are comfy and cute, so I will keep the second try. Zappos always makes returns easy, so I feel confident about their service. I am a dedicated Zappos customer!

Like sneakers very much. They are comfortable. Being a diabetic my feet do not hurt. Would tell others about these sneakers.

Great workout shoe. Lots of arch support and laterally stable. I am used to NB running small and suggest going up a half size to a full size.

I wore Brooks Arial motion control shoes for years, they must have changed something because they didn't fit my feet anymore. One of my feet is bigger than the other, plus my arches are normal and I need motion control so it is nearly impossible to find a great pair of shoes. After searching and searching I found these shoes and they fit wonderfully!

Bought these after doctor said I could go to a running shoe (yeah!) after bunion surgery and shortening a metatarsal and toe work (5 pins in feet). Never wore the other shoes some reviewers were talking about, but very happy with what I have. They have a wide enough toe box to fit my feet after swelling during the day and fit the wide feet. They don't pinch my toes in, which puts them in the right place for healing and not creating the bunion again. I like the color, don't think purple is sexist at all. Don't know why I have to dress like a guy if I can wear all colors. Why limit women to only certain colors? It's a tasteful purple accent not garish like some of the totally lime green shoes I have seen.

Comfortable shoe. I like that it has a wide toe box to support a Morton's Neuroma that tends to flare up easily. I have only worn it around the house so far, but pleased at this point. Plus it's cute on my foot, which is hard to be at size 11.

Great shoe for wide feet, you don't even need to order Wide! Plenty of room in the toe box in the medium size. Extremely padded tongue! Nice natural rolling walk through with this shoe. I wanted to keep it, but I need surgery on my foot, and may not be able to wear it for a while afterwards. 4 star on style because they made my feet look more wide then they are...but really comfortable!

I began a run training and wore the worst running shoe and injured my foot. I order these shoes the next day and they arrived just in time for my next session. I was still in pain but these shoes felt so good and supported my foot I felt minimal pain. If you have high arches these are the running shoes for you. the roll bars offer wonderful support and ensure you step correctly out the gate.

Have worn 1123s for a couple of years, had two pair, one pair was 1/2 size larger. The 1540s have a wider toe box (works great for me). The 1540s look wider to me on the foot. Dislike the color scheme, the stereotypical 'girlie-girl' colors (like Barbie's dream house, My Little Pony, etc.) I'm not into. Blue vs. icky mauve-purple would be nice or just silver or black so we could look like grown women would be great. But the comfort is incredible in my humble opinion. The toe box does run wider, the heel does run more narrow (which is also great for my foot, I have a narrow heel and the 1123s were always sliding up and down). I recommend buying 1/2 size larger than you're used to, the width was the same for me, but the 1540s were just a bit more roomy (which for me was great).

These are the best shoes. Started wearing them after having surgery on my ankle and needed to use orthotics. They are comfortable and make me feel much more stable than other shoes.
