Cute, narrower than other Orthaheels and comfy, but the whole shoe feels like plastic (it's not leather upper) and would make my feet sweat in the humid southern heat. Returning! For this price the upper really should be leather.

I love the Orthaheel brand because of their arch support, and this shoe has become my new favorite. I ordered the gold metallic in a size 9 (I wear a 9 1/2 - 10 medium) and the fit is perfect. This one will not work for a wider foot, as it's snugly comfortable for my medium width feet. The little elastic insert allows the foot to flex, which is nice. I do wish they would use soft leather for the uppers and a nice suede lining for the footbed, (I'd gladly pay more for that pleasure). But until they do, I'll continue buying the man-made material ones, because for me, it's all about the firm support for my arches. I do wish there would be more info provided by the manufacturer regarding denoting which of their shoes are for narrow, medium, or wide feet, as there can be some differences with the different styles. And as usual, Zappos is the absolute best in processing and shipping their orders promptly!

Very comfortable shoe, particularly if you have any foot problems. I have plantar fasciitis and have been happy to find Orthaheel sandals. I have three pair in different styles and wear them all summer.

I bought a 9 since I also wear an 8.5. They are very stylish and comfortable. I have 3 other pairs of Orthaheels and if you have falling arches these are the shoes for you. Zappos is great too!

Aching, high arches rejoice! My feet have always been "problem feet," but my high arches in particular have become a major problem since I've been pregnant. I had pretty good support with my Birks, but I still had an aching lower back and feet after just 20 minutes of walking around. The very first day of wearing Orthaheel Aurora, I was able to spend over two hours on my feet. They also help greatly with my balance as I have a tendency to supinate (opposite of pronate). The style is quite versatile...and they're cute!

After developing plantar fasciitis, it has been a real struggle to find shoes that did not aggravate the condition. Until now, the only Orthaheel shoes I could wear were ones with an adjustable strap because my feet are so narrow. These fit me!!! I ordered another color too. So far, the only shoes I have tried that stop the heel pain. Thank you Orthaheel and Zappos for the great customer service. Do wish the leather Orthaheel shoes (and Weil) were not quite so expensive...

The Aurora is a cute shoe, with excellent arch support as I would expect from Orthaheel. The size 9 was a very good fit on me, all the way around. (For reference, I am a size 9-9.5, Medium. My toes are somewhat wider than my heels.)
The Aurora appears to be well-made. The synthetic strap has a lovely, rich, antique pewter finish to it. The sole feels as supportive as any Orthaheel sandal I have tried.
The Aurora looks good on my feet. The strap flatters my flat feet with its design and color. The shoe works well with most jeans, shorts and skirts in my closet.
I really liked the Aurora, and I wore it around my apartment for several hours. I was ready to commit.
Then I tried on the Orthaheel Dhyana I had ordered the previous week. (Leather straps. Nubuck footbed. Ahh...)
I realize that it would not be helpful for me to make a direct comparison of the two shoes, given the difference in materials. I am not going to bash the Aurora just because it is not a leather shoe. I already knew that going in.
That being said...after comparing the two sandals side-by-side, the Aurora's synthetic upper, particularly the strap, felt hot and stiff to me.
Proper support is critical to the comfort a shoe provides; however, the comfort of the ENTIRE shoe must also be considered. This includes the feel and fit of the shoe's uppers as well as the shoe's support. This is why I gave a comfort rating of 4 stars instead of 5. (Mind you, I only wore the Aurora while puttering around my living room and surfing Zappos. I really don't know how the uppers would feel after a day out in the real world.)
I hope the Orthaheel folk continue to introduce more leather into their line of sandals. This is not about being a leather snob. Give me a well-made vegan purse any day. I am all for the performance-quality materials in sports shoes including Orthaheel's sports sandals. Even the classic Tide flip-flop works because the fabric upper keeps it comfortable. However, for COMFORT in most styles of shoes, including sandals, leather is the material of choice. We just want happy feet!

I love these sandals. Although it takes a while to break them in. The first day I wore the sandals, I went to a flea market all day. They made my arches sore and the toe post rubbed hard against my skin. I had never worn shoes with good arch support. A week later they feel amazing. I cannot wait to get home from work and slip these on. They are such a treat for my feet!

I usually wear a 7 1/2 to 8. I was able to go to a 7 in this shoe. Amazingly comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and no complaints in this shoe - very supportive.

I received these today in the gold metallic. I wear a size 10½ so I ordered an 11. They fit perfectly! I have had surgery for plantar fasciitis. I have still been in severe pain and found out yesterday that I have to have another surgery! When I put these on this morning I was ecstatic! They feel wonderful! I am a hairdresser and I worked in these all day the first day. No breaking in was necessary! I was wearing Birkenstocks and these Orthaheels feel so much better. I am not crazy about the fake wood looking sole, but they are cheaper and better looking than other shoes made for plantar fasciitis sufferers! I will definitely be buying other styles and colors!

I really like these sandals! I wear 7-7 1/2 and got the 7. I have flat, but narrow feet, so I hang off some sandals, while not being able to keep them on. These have wide soles and "grips", plus fairly close-fitting straps, so they fit me well. They are not leather, so they shouldn't stretch out. We'll see. So far, so good. Thanks, Zappos!

I discovered Orthaheel 3 years ago, have four pair and wear these sandals all summer long. I have very narrow feet, flat feet with bunions--and I am not willing to suffer for style anymore. I am normally a size 9, but size down one full size in sandals that don't have a narrow fit. I have these in an 8, and they are perfect. I wear these with my Eileen Fisher clothing. Total comfort and style. And Zappos is incredible as everyone attests for prompt delivery, usually overnight, help, and refunds. They make big business socially responsible.

Orthaheel has the best arch support of any brand out there. I have sesamoiditis and joint probelms and I can feel my weight immediately shift off of the ball of my foot when I put these on. They are also very supportive and do not bend easily. Super cute too! Only complaint is the bed of the shoe is a little hard, wish they would improve the cushioning. Still great shoe.

Excellent! I had damaged tissue in my knee and a badly sprained ankle. These handles were a lifesaver. So Great I bought 2 more orthaheel shoes from Zappos. Great price, too.

I ordered 3 different styles from Orthoheel and each one fits completely different. These felt like a 9--but a bit larger than another style 9 that I tried from Orthoheel (do I sound like Goldilocks?

These are very comfortable with great arch support. I usually wear an 8.5 but the 8 fit perfectly. The only complaint I have its that the wood covering on the foot bed scrapes off easily.

I really wanted to like these shoes as I am a huge fan of Orthaheel and own five other pairs of their shoes, but sadly, these are going back. The shoes themselves are really cute, I ordered in the white platinum and really liked the look of the shoes. The arch support as always is great, the footbed is fine as well. It was the plastic upper, it felt stiff and quite frankly not very comfortable at all. I did not have any issues with the toe post but for this price the upper just does not make them keepers for me. I still like my Orthaheels and will continue to buy them but these just did not work, which is too bad. I have had my eye on these shoes for months.

While the edges of these are fairly sharp and I had to wear several band-aids for days, it was well worth the effort.
The foot bed is supremely comfortable. What's more, the back pain I've had for 40 years, that hundreds of chiropractic adjustments couldn't cure, has just about disappeared.
I haven't worn any other shoe that I own since getting these.
Next payday, I plan on buying the athletic shoes too.

First of all, these are beautiful sandals. I got the bronze metallic; they have a little bit of shimmer without being flashy or gaudy. I wear from 8½ to 9, and usually wear a 9 in sandals. I bought the Aurora in 9, and they are just a tad too big in the toes, but they would have been too small if I went for the 8. I love these shoes and will wear them a ton this summer. I had hoped for instant relief from aching feet. That did not happen, but my feet are hurting later in the day, so I suppose that is progress. I do hate the faux woodgrain footbed, as the outer coating is pretty thin and I managed to scuff it off in a few places on the first day I wore them.

While the footbed is true to size, the strap across the top of the sandal is a tight squeeze for those with feet that are a little bit wider than the standard medium width. This is man-made material, so it's not going to really adjust with use. I am a true 10.5 Women's, usually wear a medium B but my foot is slightly wider than the average medium B sizing. Just walking around my apartment in these sandals, the tops of my feet started to rub and hurt within minutes from the constant rubbing of the strap. If you have wider feet, I recommend getting the narrower strap Tide style from Orthaheel, and if you are in between sizes I would order up to the next size up just to be safe. You don't want to get blisters!

These are certainly better than most thong sandals, but they do cause my plantar fasciitis to flare up if I wear them for the whole day. I have to put on my sneakers with Powerstep inserts if I go to the store or walk the dog. These are decent for chilling out at home, but awfully expensive for use as slippers.

Great shoe once it is broken in a bit. Love all the Orthaheel products since I have plantar fasciitis - they support my high arches and enable me to be on my feet all day without pain. My only complaint is that for the price, the uppers should be leather. It would make the shoes even more comfortable. My first pair was "Tide", and since it has a cloth strap, is my most comfortable Orthaheel.
