The cross strap on these mary janes is on the diagonal, which looks great. Maybe because the strap is so narrow (I'm guessing here), the left shoe tends to skew on my foot something I've never had happen before and rub a bit on the left side. But the arch support is fabulous and I'm managing long walks in them just fine.

Walked a lot in these shoes and they are comfy. A little wider than most shoes but not an issue. You can removed the interior arch support but it has support in the heel special for this shoe and I would not advise taking out the arch support.

Returning the Ahnu Gracie. I ordered a 38, my usual size. The shoe is a half size too big, and the 37 will probably cramp the front of my foot. I have a somewhat wide foot at the front and narrow heel. I usually love shades of green, but I did not like the silver sage and think the shoe is much more attractive in the black or brown, but I was looking for a light-colored shoe. I really can't rate for comfort, having the incorrect size and not worn the shoe.

Very sweet shoe. Do not know why they call it black. Looks nice with grey tights. Found it very comfortable.

These shoes feel very comfortable. However, they were a half size too big and are also more of a earthy green color than the picture shows. I bought them thinking the color would be identical to the picture but they are the sage color mentioned in their description. I matched the shoes with khakis and capris and they do not go well together. Will send them back. It would be nice if Ahnu Gracie came in a tan color. I wanted to give this style a 3 star but the the arrow button would not change the style from a 5 star to a 3. The shoe looks too big.

I love these shoes but they are just a tad too narrow for me. Color is great (I got the New Black), little flower cut-outs are really cute. I will probably keep them and hope they will stretch!!

Agree with other reviewers that they run a tad large and with a sock, they're true to size. Great support throughout the sole. However, a major blow to comfort is that the triple decorative stitches on both inner and outer sides can be felt through the lining and over time rub the sides of the foot uncomfortably. Clearly whoever designed the decorative stitching never bothered to wear the shoe! Otherwise, would have kept them.

Beautiful shoe, fits my toe-box great, but too long for my foot. I think I'll try a half size smaller, but afraid it will be too tight.

These arrived today and I'm in love! I read the other reviews before purchasing and noted that they run a little large. I ordered them a full size down (my normal size wasn't available) but these actually fit (lengthwise) perfectly. They're a little snug at the entrance to the toe box which is the widest part of my foot. After wearing them briefly around the house, they've stretched to the point of comfort. I'm glad I took the chance they'd fit and ordered these. They're cute, comfortable, and they will work for any season.

If my feet weren't wide across the ball, I'd keep these for sure. They're cute and seem to be well made, with lots of attention to making the inside surface of the shoe smooth and comfortable and the sole cushioned and supportive. I'm not sure they really run as much as a half size large. Ahnus seem to hit me just wrong - I usually wear an 8 med, sometimes a 7.5 wide, and Ahnu 7.5 is almost big enough but not quite. (I haven't ordered the 8 in this style, but I had trouble getting a good fit with a different Ahnu style.) For someone with a slightly narrower forefoot, these should be great.

Super cute shoe! I wish it worked for me. I have a regular width foot, but wide across the bunion area, and this shoe fit too snug across my tender bunions. However it does have a very comfy insole.

Handsome shoe that gets compliments. It's stable and I do notice the cushy heel, but don't expect this to pass as a 'walking shoe': there's no arch and no heel cup. The strap works to make up the difference between wearing the shoe barefoot versus wearing it with a sock. I would prefer if it were actually black rather than charcoal gray.

I wanted to love this shoe, but it was way too big for me at a 6 and I am a 5.5-6 in most shoes. I wish they had it in a 5.5.

I got these for a trip to Europe. They are very stylish shoes. You can wear them with casual or dressy casual. I was a little disappointed, though, by the comfort. I had heard great things, but they rubbed my pinky toes (and I have narrow feet). I also felt that they needed more arch support. Perhaps I bought the wrong size? They seemed to fit.

I have a wide foot with bunions, but was hoping, based on other reviews, that these shoes might work. Unfortunately, the seams ran right over my bunions - ouch. Otherwise, these looked cute and felt comfortable elsewhere. If your feet are bunion free, these shoes might be perfect for you! Thanks, Zappos for making the return process so easy!

These are reasonably comfortable. It is a rather heavy and clunky shoe, not sporty and cute like the photo. I had been wearing them for a week when a rub along my small toe started that is pretty annoying. If I thought I could return them after a week I would.

I really liked the style and color of these shoes. I sent them back because the heel slipped. Even with the strap I felt like these shoes would come off while moving around at a trot.

Somewhat disappointed. It feels too large/wide in the heel area. Feels good in the front and toe area.I am keeping the shoes though. Zappos service is wonderful, thanks, Zappos!

Comfy at first but they are hot. Whatever they use as a foot liner is unwearable in about 15 minutes. Just sitting. In AC. Definitely not a summer walking shoe. The bottom is cushioned and I like the sole traction. The strap isn't "really" adjustable. I mean it's velcro but there's only one place you can secure it and that strap one my high arch just cuts across giving me sausage foot. Bummer. Shallow toe box just narrowly clears the beginning of instep. No arch support.

The bottoms of these are so cushiony and they are really comfortable for walking. Unfortunately I didn't notice when I tried these on in the store that they rub my pinky toes and give them blisters, so I can't wear them at all without bandaging up first. So that kind of defeats the purpose for me and the store won't let me return them. They were going to be a convenient slip-on travel shoe, but instead I can't wear them very long. So my recommendation is that you order them from Zappos so you can return if you walk around your house and they rub.

Pros: Nice shoe. Stable. Attractive. Deep enough for high arch orthotic. Quality materials. Very soft footbed and surprisingly a medium height arch...a rarity in most shoes. Cons: I really shouldn't be surprised as all athleisure shoes seem to run short in the toe and have steel shank toe bumper guards, with Keen, Teva & Jambu being the worse offenders and Ahnu following suit. Both are terrible for the toes aggravating current, and/or causing, nerve damage in the toes which can lead permanent damage/amputation. Ironically, for shoes companies promoting a healthy, natural, outdoor lifestyle and foot environment, they are often the ones putting fashion above foot health. This shoe runs 1/2 to 1 full size large which leads to a battle between the excess heel space and slippage and the shortness in the toes. Sure, going down a 1/2 to full size will eliminate the excess space and slippage in the heel but your toes will be crammed even more due to the shortness in the toes. Surely, shoes have been around for millenniums you think a company could get this basic issue right! I don't know what the answer is as I went back and forth between the 7 and 7.5, trying to find the lesser of the two evils to no avail (usually a 7.5 to 8). Since Ahnu is unlikely to change this significant design flaw, I guess either return the shoe and complain or pray for a long foot with a mouse length toes. Note: Despite myself and other reviewers bringing this to Zappos attention and request they correct the issue, the shoe still pictured for the "Silver Sage" color is actually the sold out and discontinued "Cobblestone" color. The shoe color you will get when purchasing the "Silver Sage" color is closest to a slight greenish Khaki or Beige; which surprisingly is still neutral enough to work with chinos, khakis, tans, and most lighter summer colors.

This shoe looks really cute on line, but in reality it looks kinda boring on. The toe box was too tight for me and my heel slipped out with every step. I did read other reviews and went for a smaller size, but it was still too big in the heel. These are going back.

Am sorry to say these are going back. I wear a 40 N in Birkenstocks and ordered and 8.5 W in these due to other reviews. The length is perfect, but the shoe is very clunky and wide. The toe box is too roomy for me and the shoes gap around the edges when walking. I ordered the color that looks beige in the picture but it's a very sage green. I was disappointed in that as well. I think for someone with wide feet, these are probably a good fit.
