These sneakers are amazing!! Worth every penny, especially if you plan to use them often and you have sensitive feet. I have flat feet and they used to hurt after running with most sneakers. As soon as I switched to the Gel Kayanos, the pain was gone. I also feel that they improve my running. Plus, if you're going to get them, get them from zappos. Who can beat free shipping and returns. Got these in one day from ordering! One thing I would recommend - sometimes in shoes I can be a size 8 or 8 1/2. If you are like that, go for the lower one. These sneakers tend to stretch after a few runs.

I love Asics running shoes. I began running in 1974, and they had no running shoes then. My first running were Montgomery Ward tennis shoes. You've come a long way baby. Around two years later, Nike came out with running shoes for men only. I bought the smallest pair, a size three and stuffed the sides with tissues to keep them on me. I recently bought another pair of Asics The Gel-Kayano 18 to be correct. Rock on Asics from a devoted 73-year-old woman.

I have been wearing Asics for over 10 years and the Kayano for the past 3 years. I was disappointed in the "18" as the toe box doesn't seem to be wide as in the last two models. They were more snug out of the box, and the salesperson explained that this is because the shoe was designed to conform to the foot out of the box. They did loosen up a bit over time, but I still prefer the older models. I walked all over London wearing these shoes and at times my feet did hurt; I didn't have this problem with the 17's I wore to London last year. I didn't find the arch support to be as good as the 16 and 17 models. For the price, I expect the shoe to provide more comfort. Next year I will probably look for a different Asics model that will hopefully give me more comfort.

I just had to write about these shoes! I have problems with my feet. Losing fat pads, and I pronate. I walk to work and back everyday. I do Latin Heat exercise classes and Zumba. These shoes are amazing! The only shoes that I can wear all day, and even for exercise! The extra gel makes all the difference. I will wear nothing else!

The upgrade is wonderful with the extra padding. I can tell the difference. Very supportive! They are a bit snug at first but break in fast.

Great shoe! I have bad feet and these are the best...only thing is I don't think the insoles are that great so I put my own in. Color and design of this version of the Kayano is awesome...so glad they did something other than the white that gets so dirty!

Bought these shoes to begin running based on reviews from here and other sites. These shoes are very comfortable out of the box. I did go up 1/2 size from my normal and they fit perfectly. Highly recommended.

I have issues with my knees that stem from my ankles twisting inward. I find that the Gel Kayanos have more arch support than any other shoe I have tried. This is my 5th pair and I think these are the lightest and most comfortable yet.

I found these shoes to be very narrow in the front foot area, and I have very average sized feet. I didn't realize how much it would bother me until I wore them out, so I had to keep them. The size up would have been too big. I wish they offered a wide size in this color.

I've been wearing this brand of shoe for about five years, it's the best. So comfy and plush, great for dedicated runners and those who don't run very often. Yes, they are expensive but they will last you over a year.

These are the most comfortable workout shoes I have ever owned. Amazing cushioning for running, cross-training, or aerobics. I do kickboxing in these and find that I have less pain in my knees and my ankles. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8- ordered an 8 in these and there is a little bit of room in the toe box but I think a 7.5 would be too small. If you have high arches these may not have enough support without adding an insole.

These shoes are the best! I have worn them for years and am never disappointed. I have plantar fasciitis and these were recommended by my podiatrist years ago.

This is the most comfortable and best fitting Asics I've had (and I've had a variety). I am a nurse and on my feet 8-10 hours - no problems with my feet or my lower back, as in other shoes.

The shoe is excellent, however I have a mild hallux valgus and I am going to return them because I feel sharp friction in the plantar surface or the region below the hallux. Even though I do have a structural problem with my foot, I have not had that kind of problem before with my previous running shoes. I decided to go for these shoes as they were highly recommended. If that minor detail can be corrected or else, I could find a good insole to accommodate that region, this would be the best running shoe. Tried it a couple of times, no pain in my extensors, no pain in my knee and very comfortable, especially in my ''normal'' foot.

Very comfortable and stable shoe! I recommend for anyone with a weak ankle or that needs stability.

I bought these to train for my first marathon. So far so good; they're very comfy.

I have bought Asics Gel Kayano for many years. The new Kayano 18 is the best so far. Love the fit and comfort and the color choice!

I have been wearing my ASICS GEL Kayanoo 18 for runs for the last month. I love these shoes! In the past I have had trouble with my knees hurting after a run, but not with these shoes! I will definitely buy another pair! Thanks for all the help Zappos!

These are a true Kayano fit. I had originally ordered the 17, but ended up returning for the most recent 18 and I'm glad I did!

These shoes are amazing! I've been a faithful ASICS fan for years, and this is the best pair yet! They are light as air, very cushioned and very supportive. Perfect for my feet! Now I dread wearing any other shoe...

Great sneakers. They are super light, breathable and comfortable. I didn't like the white and blue whites as they were just too plain white, but the funky purple and gray were perfect.

I couldn't get this color at my local shoe store, so it was great to be able to order it and have it within the week.

Good-looking, well-fitting shoe. I've owned Asics before, and every time I try another brand (just to see what else is out there), I wind up going back to Asics. They really are the best.

This model of the Kayano runs a half size small. Order up. Love this shoe. Good support and cushioning. I prefer the Kayano 18 to the Gel Nimbus which continues to have the off center lacing. Kayano 18 does have off center lacing but not as dramatic as the Gel Nimbus.
