Love these shoes! I received a lot of compliments on how the colors shouldn't work, but do. Both current and retro feeling. Very comfortable to wear and seem to be holding up well. I like them so much, I'm ordering a few pair to hold for later when this pair wears out.

I left this ASICS traditional support model for a very short journey (2yrs) to the minimalist camp. Coming back to this model was a nice relief to my 40 yr old feet. Nice and snug, true to sizing and overall great support. They seem a bit on the heavy side when you want to push the pace. They are not as snappy as a racing shoe, but that's not why you put these on. Look to they Kayano's for the racing and similar support (severe) maybe... If you're after a float feeling and cushy ride then this is your shoe. This is the perfect everyday trainer. I weight 175lbs and last pair were the gt-2150s, which I put 375miles on before they gave up. I can not speak to durability of this model yet, but it's the same line, so they should fair just as well. Styling I gave 3 stars... I'm just not a fan of all the fancy colors they make the shoes, but that's just me. Looking past the coloring the shoe is great!

I am wearing these shoes to train for running a 5K, and I'm very pleased with them. The fit is great, and they help keep my feet from pronating. They are comfortable, very light weight, and well-cushioned.

I slowly worked my way up the ASICS shoe line to the GT-21XX series. I find that these shoes lessen my foot fatigue and provide great support. I am 5'8"/190 and I run full and half marathons in this shoe. I average around 30 miles a week of pace running and 6 hours of cross training. Because I am a muscular runner I need a little more cushioning and support from a shoe while staying light weight. These shoes fit the bill for me. I purchase 2 pairs of these shoes and rotate them on a daily basis to keep them fresh. I have tried the Nimbus and Cumulus and switched back to the 2170.

These are great running shoes, I am a larger than average runner (6'0", 200 pounds) so I need more support while running. These shoes provide that support without feeling too bulky. They are reasonably light weight and just feel really good on your feet. Blisters have gone away and knee pain has subsided considerably. I have put about 260 miles on them on the last two months and they are still in good shape. They are a great buy, if you are looking for Kayanos but do not want to spend the extra money.

I never thought I would buy running shoes over the internet and after buying from Zappos I will definitely do it again. Shoes were delivered very promptly.

The GT-2xxx series shoe has been a great workhorse. I got my first pair of GT-2010's maybe 4 years ago and have stuck with them. This version is no different. I can't tell any huge difference between the previous ones I've had...but the wild blue color is brighter than my old ones so it makes me feel fast, even though I'm not!

I've been a long-time Asics GT-21xx fan, but my local running store quit selling the GT-2170 and recommended a comparable Brooks running shoe. After 600 miles on the Brooks, I decided to order the ASICS GT-2170 from Zappos.com and it's so good to be back. ASICS - I'm so sorry I left you, and I'm so glad to have you back.

I have been wearing ASICS and in particular this model 21XX for several years. I am 190 lbs and run 20-30 miles a week plus cross training. This shoes meets the demands of this work out for me and I recommend to friends and family. I buy 2 pairs and rotate them each work out.

My first expensive running shoes ever were the Asics 2150. I bought them after a salesperson recommended me these shoes because it has stability and they perfect for jogging and running. I switched to these shoes after enduring blisters due to wearing Nikes. When I switched to Asics, I noticed no blisters whatsoever and the Asics 2150 lasted me for great years, participating in 10Ks, 15Ks and half marathons! Just recently purchased the new Asics 2170 and looking forward to a new year of running with these shoes!

I have been running Asics GT series for ever and will never run with another shoe. The GT 2170 is the best ever. I am 72 years old and started running at age 40. I have been running Asics Gel ever since and have never suffered an injury of any kind.As long as I am able to run, it will always be the GT series.

I have been jogging with the Asics GT-21XX series of shoes for about 10 years now. I am heavier than most runners, and these are a good combination of stability and cushioning, at least for me. This is my first pair of 2170s, and the size seems to be the same as earlier versions.

I bought these for my fiance for Christmas. Coincidentally, he bought the same exact model for himself in a different color! He wanted them because I have the same model for women and talked about how much I love them all the time. He loves these shoes so much, he kept both pairs - one for running and one for everyday wear. They are comfortable and flexible, and perfect for running or using them for other athletic events. They are great for people with previous injuries who need more stability (me) and folks who have never been injured and like to push their workouts to the max (my fiance). I would definitely purchase this model again.

Excellent customer service at Zappos (second to none). These shoes were recommended by a movement specialist Dr. The best shoes I have owned, not to mention they are less in price. Could not be more pleased.

These sneakers were recommended by my podiatrist as one of the top sneakers for support. I was unable to find a store that had Asics sneakers in the size that I needed. Zappos had them in stock and two days later they on my feet. Great job Zappos.

I bought these for my 13 year old. He liked them so much I bought them again when he needed another pair.

I've been wearing the Asics GT series for about six years now. I got my first pair because I needed a shoe that would compensate for my over-pronating gait, and the GT does that job nicely. It's not the lightest shoe around, but it's very supportive, absorbs shock well, and is very comfortable. Buy it, you'll like it!

Outstanding workout shoes... perfect for running or working out at the gym. This shoe is very cushioned and comfortable. It has a snug and supportive feel. This shoe fits true to size and sports a brilliant blue color that gets a lot of attention. I highly recommend this shoe.

Zappos.com had the shoe I wanted in the size and width that I needed, for a very competitive price. What else can I say? I've used the sight on the past, and as before I'm impressed with the product as well as the service. Customer for Life!

I bought these for my son and he loves them. They have been great to reduce the shin splints when he runs.

Fantastic shoes, my feet have never been happier. I wear them to the gym daily, and they are as comfortable stepping on to the treadmill as they are stepping off.

A great shoe. This is my third or fourth pair in this series. I am a walker (on paved trail) and work on concrete floors on my feet all day. Wear the same shoe. I have plantar fasciitis, am not young any more and these or the trail runner of the same series are the best!

I have trouble finding a shoe that fits. I returned shoes from Nike and New Balance that were supposed to be 4E but were too tight. I am a woman with a wide foot and a high arch. I need a shoe with a wide toe box. I have never found a woman's running shoe that fits. My only complaint is that they never seem to make 4E shoes in fun colors.
