Zappos delivered the Asics GT-2170 in a timely manner and my husband loves them. I also have a pair of the same 2170's and have worn these shoes for about 20 years. New ones each year of course. I buy a size larger than I usually wear.

I absolutely love these shoes, They are the probably the only good gel cushioned running shoes with high end support and stability for flat footers. Additionally these shoes look fantastic in all black, and on the area of the big toe they have this cool reflective patch on top. This is my first pair of Asics, and I can tell you that after owning many pairs of Nike's, Nike Shox, Adidas, New Balance, etc, these are the best shoes I have ever owned. I really wish I had these out 5 years ago!

I am 66 years old and have suffered from plantar fasciitis and tendinitis in my feet for years. I also over-pronate. Running has been difficult as a result. I have tried every imaginable shoe insert and numerous different brands of running shoes with mediocre results at best. I purchased a pair of Asics 2170 shoes. Instant comfort! I immediately went out an ran a 5k without breaking in the shoes. Running was awesome again. After three running sessions, my pronation problems were under control and the tendinitis problems disappeared. The shoe has a moderately aggressive insert which cups the heal very snugly and provides a modest amount of arch support. As a result the foot is very stabilized in the shoe which seems to promote a consistent linear gait. I highly recommend this running shoe for anyone who runs 10 miles/week or more. Especially if you pronate. Wear a 1/2 to a full size larger than your regular dress shoes if you plan to use these to run in.

The GT-2100 series is always a great go-to, and this edition is no different. I have flat, wide feet and tend to over-pronate (which leads to IT band syndrome). I've been training for a marathon in these, doing 40-50 miles a week, and haven't had a single problem. Even prefer them to the more expensive Kayano.

Great shoes. Very good fit, great looks, and super light weight. What more could you ask for? Been an NB fan for years but right now it's Asics. My only gripe is that I wanted the white and green ones but they don't make them in my size combo so I had to go with these or the black ones. Not sure why they do that.

I tend to roll my ankles a lot, this has completely solved the problem and also due to the cushioning my knees don't get sore from the constant impact of jogging.

First, Zappos customer service is exceptional. I ordered these shoes on Sunday, and they were sitting on my doorstep on Tuesday morning. Bravo, Zappos! Second, this is the third pair of ASICS Gel I have ordered from Zappos beginning with the 2150. I now have the 2170s and they are every bit as good as their predecessors. I run 4-5 miles nearly every day in these, and find that they are both lightweight and supportive. These running shoes typically last me 1000 miles or so.

Best running shoe out there. I did give it a 2 star in the style category because know I am not alone on this...people with wide feet want more color options. I hate wearing blue and grey all the time, make some vibrant colors in wide shoes.

Once again Asics has raised the bar with this latest installment of their GT series running shoe: the GT-2170. It of course lives up to its sterling reputation for durability and ruggedness, but now this shoe is even lighter than ever. While I admit the difference in weight is small when compared to its predecessors, every little bit helps on those long runs to give you a competitive edge. My only complaint is that the width of the shoe does feel a bit snug comparatively speaking from previous Asics shoes I have bought in the past in the same series, but still not to the point where I would recommend moving to a larger width. Overall: One tough running shoe with a sleek new design, great arch support and tread that should last you quite a while! Once again OUTSTANDING Zappos service and shipping! Enjoy!

Zappos provided quick delivery, the order is exact, packaging is perfect, and I have received compliments for the shoe's appearance. Best of all is the fit, sole and composition makes these good to wear all day with comfort. They are a good buy for the price. This is my second pair in the ASICS GT-21XX model. Stride is even more exacting wear than earlier model.

Great trail shoe for a wide foot-box. I put it on out of the box and ran three hours without any complaints or blisters.

I have purchased two pairs of these Asics for my fiancee. He wears them several times a week. He says they are comfortable. He has wide feet, so I like the fact that these shoes come in widths.

I am a moderate over pronator. These shoes have proven themselves for me, I have worn this show from Asics since the GT-2000 was introduced maybe 20 years now! These shoes last. I usually get 300-400 miles per pair as runners and then retire them to every day shoes for another few months.

I am writing this instead of my husband for 3 reasons: I order from Zappos, he won't bother with a review, and I use others' reviews. So, we are heading to Europe; he likes sneaks for touring around and I told him he could not wear his white ones. He walked around the house in these for a couple of days as they are 1/2 size larger than he usually buys but his feet have been giving him some problems so he thought that may help! He kept them, he wears them, he is bringing them to Europe next week. Enough said.

I really like the shoes. I use them for walking several miles at a time. Nicely cushioned. Your feet don't get too hot in them, either. The main thing to worry about here is the size. I thought I'd be okay with a 14 wide, but it was absolutely too small. Had to send back for a 15 wide. Zappos handled the return with amazing grace and class. I love dealing with this company. Every purchase has been great.

These are not as comfortable as the previous model. I have the 2160s, and they seemed to take less time to break in. I am still getting a little bit of a burning feeling on the balls of feet with this version of the GT after three uses. They seem to get a little bit less each time, though.

These are good shoes. They are made from light material, and provide good support/comfort. I felt that the size was true though width was not. 4E width normally fits me very well, but these felt much narrower than 4E. I probably would not recommend these shoes for those with extra wide feet.

Pretty good running shoes. Still get some shin pain, but good arch support. Could use more cushion in heel area for running.

I have worn Asics for years and they are my workout/running shoes of choice because they fit my 11½W feet really well. Except this version. For some reason, they are much narrower than my regular ones and I am a bit disappointed to have to return them.

I thought that I would try the Asics GT-2170 to replace my Gel-1150s which are no longer comfortable. When I received them and tried them on, I was surprised they were tight. They feel like a D and not a 4E. I had to return them. I will see if I can find another pair of Asics. I like the brand. Maybe New Balance. I used to use them too but I found that they were not as comfortable as they used to be. I hope this review helps.

My first shoe! It's been great! Lady at the running store suggested this shoe and I started running in Dec 2012. I've logged 300 plus miles without injury! Love this shoe!

I have wore this series of running shoe since they were the 2060, which means about 11 years and logged over 12000 miles in this series shoe. The GT-2170 is no exception to this best selling model of running shoes. One improvement is it seems lighter than past shoes in the series.

I love, love, love these shoes... I'm a hard core Asics fan and am very particular about the Asics I choose... My latest faves were the gs-kinetic but are impossible to find now... So I switched to these and am 100% satisfied. They fit will and have great support!
