These gave me the worst blisters I have ever gotten, and it was from walking a mere mile in the city. They are insanely narrow and insanely inflexible. If you have wide feet, absolutely do not purchase. Too bad because I really liked the look. Maybe Merrell will make them in wide someday.

I have always heard good things about Merrell, but have never loved their styling enough to buy them. I generally buy shoes every two years so I try to buy quality ones. I really like the way these shoes looked and couldn't decide between the olive color and light tan so I ordered both. I liked them both so much I ended up keeping both. The only styling aesthetic I do not care for is the rubber piece over the toe. Well it's been just over three weeks and they are already falling apart, mainly just one area. After only two days the rubber on the sides where your toes create a crease started to detach from the canvas, but it wasn't that bad. I thought that if it stayed like that and didn't progress I could live with it. Well two weeks later there is a hole in this exact spot. It seems the rubber is too stiff or the canvas is too weak or both and the rubber just started ripping the canvas apart at this crease. I will be retuning both pair. Merrell needs to take these shoes back to the engineer and resolve this issue. I will not be buying any more Merrell's.

This was my first time purchasing a pair of Merrell's. I hike with Keens or Patagonias, but had heard mostly good things about Merrell's and needed some new casual shoes so I thought I'd give this brand a try. I love the style of these, but they were simply too painful to wear. Immediately I noticed an area above the knuckle of my big toe on both feet where the shoe dug in every time I bent at the toes. I gave it a day to see if this worked itself out, but it did not. Unfortunately I won't be returning to Merrell after this experience. I wear a size 13 and have a very standard shape to my foot so I rarely have issues fitting into shoes. I highly doubt that if I went a size up it would make any difference, this seemed to be a flaw in the design. Also, this a pet peeve of mine, but after you walk around in them for a couple minutes the tongue slides very far to the outside of the foot (even with the laces in the loop on the tongue). So much so that half of the top of my foot was just bare laces on foot, no tongue in between. It's a shame, because they are nice looking shoes, just poorly designed for walking in.

Don't look like the picture. They feel awful. Who's feet are these supposed to fit? The last they used is for a clown? The toe box is tight, arch is even tighter. Poor Support. Feel kind of cheap. Merrell used to be so great, what happened??

I bought these as a gift for my husband. He loved the look and feel. Unfortunately they began to fall apart and developed a hole after only a few weeks wear. Very disappointing. I have had this problem with other Merrell shoes in the past. Very comfortable but quick to fall apart.

Ordered 9 1/2, thinking they'd fit the same as my other Merrells. Nope, they fit like they're size 6 1/2 (ow).

THESE SHOES FELL APART AFTER 1 WEEK! My husband loved these shoes--they were stylish and comfortable. He only had them one week before all of the leather surfaces began to peel. It must be a manufacturing defect. We are sorely disappointed that they cannot be returned. The shoe's name is prophetic--you'll want to rant and rave about how disappointing they are.

These shoes are not true to size. Purchased these in my size and packed them for a vacation. They were the most uncomfortable for new shoes.
