I wear this hat a lot due to the fact that I am a photographer and I am always out in the sun. The hat does exactly what it was designed to do!

I have a couple other Columbia hats but they are not one size like this one. I wasn't sure I would like that but I do, its actually more comfortable. The rim on this one is a bit bigger than my other ones but that is OK. I think I will get a lot of use out of this hat.

I bought this to wear to the beach, and I'm hoping it will stand up to the beach breezes. Everything else about the hat seems just what I've been looking for and is so hard to find: adjustable head band with a cinch at the back, chin strap to help it stay on, dark inside brim to reduce glare, lightweight, packable. I'm not crazy about the style, but function over form here is necessary. It seems well made, I like the slightly stretchy fabric. I bought this one in white, as well as another hat by Outdoor Research thats similar, but has a wider, more protective brim, and am keeping both, since I wear hats all summer long due to really vulnerable fair skin. So glad Zappos carries these!

I am a woman in my 50's. I wear baseball caps for sunblock but my ears and neck still get burnt. I wanted a floppy hat with more coverage. This hat is perfect! I love the fit and coverage and it looks cute too, I think. You can adjust the fit to make it tighter on windy days or on the boat. I have bought them for my husband, my mother in law and father in law. All the colors are great. (blue, khaki, green camo, black camo) I would recommend this hat to all who need sun protection.

I was surprised how well this hat fit. Love the softness and adjustable strap. I've worn this hat in some pretty serious wind and it wasn't a problem. Great for outdoor activity.

I've been looking at and even buying hats for years to provide some shelter from the sun, but they all end up in a donation bag -- too small. This hat works: it fits (!), has good sun sheltering features, and actually looks just fine.

Tried my Bora Bora II Booney hat on I love the look and the fit. Hiking the PCT in March, will be perfect for the desert....Columbia is my go to for all my hiking clothes for the PCT. I bought this hat for my husband to wear at the beach and when he is outside working. He loves it. Great hat to keep sun off neck, face, and ears.

I ordered this for a gift to a family member who Enjoys the outdoors and needs sun protection While cleaning the pool, gardening and grilling. This looked like a perfect gift and useful.

Fits perfectly, seems to be good quality

I am saying this runs a little big because most hats don't fit my head. I have a big head and a good amount of thick hair. With that being said this fits and I can spin it around. It's not tight or form fitting it's comfortable and very breathable! I love the dark grey!! Super excited to use this. Thanks for coming through Columbia

Perfect for beach, tailgate, big game, and everyday wear when sun protection is needed. Lightweight, breathable. Wide brim provides good coverage and protection from sun. I have several wide brim Columbia hats, this one has become my go to.

I was based on previous reviews and it is very nice for all outdoor activities.

I got this hat for my father-in-law who is trying to limit his exposure to the sun but loves being outdoors. He loves this hat. It is lightweight but gets the job done. He wears it on walks and anytime he goes outside he puts it on. Good purchase.

It fit perfect and wears great

I've used it for both kayaking and sailing. The adjustable strap and head size was great. I was never afraid of losing the hat when we picked up speed while sailing.

I love this hat. I lost my first one and I missed it - this is my second. This hat looks great and the adjustable size is large enough to fit over my locks! I do wish it took being "over loved" a little better (i.e., being rolled, crunched, crushed in the bottom of bags, etc.)

I took this product to an outdoor festival a couple days after receiving it. I knew I'd be out in the sun and needed something to cover the head/neck. Product fit nicely, provided excellent skin coverage (no burn on neck or face!) and kept me relatively cool. I'm glad I had it and I look forward to more outings with it.

Perfect for fishing and the outdoors in general! protects from the sun, but is light and airy. Color choices are good and is overall the best kind of hat to buy!

Nice rim to keep the Sun off face , ears , & neck . Adjustable pull string makes a great fit .

I bought this hat to wear on rides in our Mustang convertible. It helps to keep the sun from beating down on my head. The chin strap keeps it secure on my head. Love the rusty color and the ventilation. Fabulous !!!
