I received the vest and it fit perfectly. It is very comfortable and very stylish. Seems like I have worn it just about everyday since I received it. My girl friend says I should order another one while they are available as she knows I will get the use out of them. Great product and I would recommend it to anyone that wants a vest to also keep them warm when it is a bit cool outside.

Another bullseye fron Columbia. Pricey, but worth it. This vest is exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, yet very durable. Great in the wind with the zip up collar turning the sylish look of the lighter colored colar into a turtle neck. The 3 zippered pockets in the front are perfect for holding stuff. The fit is snug, I could stand to drop a few lb's, but not too snug... holds body heat well. A definite 5 star vest!

After scouring the Internet and trying many vests for traveling light, this is the best value out there. Holds iPod, Cell, Passport, Airline tix. I only wish the inside pocket would contain a zipper for 1 add'l layer of security.

my good deal that I've made is buying ( ridge vest ) it very light so you can wear it in hot weather ( 27 - 32 ) degrees centigrade. It has very enough pocket that carry the most of your important things eg. passpot, etc. many thanks to columbia co.

Good summer vest can ware with T shirt without getting too hot

This one is far better for summer, as it is a thinner material, and has mesh vents. It still has many zipper pockets for storing small objects. The only downside I ran into with this one was the zipper needed to be worn in a bit, which I have never experienced on Columbia products in the past.

On my second Sliver Ridge vest, very satisfied with this product. The pockets are not voluminous though serve nicely. Zippered and enough room for glasses (no case) and a wallet on the opposite side. Lower pockets for hands and small zippered pockets on outside. On the inside there's meshed pockets, slightly narrow but lengthy enough for maps and tablets. Very cool in the Sun and a decent windbreaker, potential use for layering too. Getting on in the years, the need to carry accessories is part of the territory so these vests fill that need. The first one in Fossil color goes well with khaki & brown pants. Later, I decided on a second vest in Grill color for blue and grey attire. Use these constantly in journey's around the States and overseas (room for passport). The vest also packs tight in carry-on luggage or in a glove box of a car. Great addition for wardrobe and frees clutter in pant pockets, wear them constantly, though I did hesitate wearing it at a Black-tie event. Still lookin' good... Thanks, Columbia!

This product really has great features and convenience.

The vest is long and would benefit from a 2 way zipper up and down. The inside pockets are great for a photographic lens or water bottle. A button or fastener 1/2 way across the top of the inside pocket would help distribute the weight in the pocket better and secure the item from falling out, when it it taken off and folded . Otherwise it is well designed and quite functional. the weight is perfect. More when I get back from a 10 day trip to Ethiopia

Great. Looking vest with functionality of a military vest but maintaining a more casual look Only complaint I bought two same day for retail price and a week later they're on sale for 25% off. :(

Wanted a vest that would provide additional pocket space, protection in a hot climate and look and feel good. This does all that.

GREAT TO FISH AND TO AVENTURE, IN SMALL BOATS

I got this vest for my husband. It's exactly what he's been looking for as far as light weight and quality. However it runs very small, he wears 2X in everything else with plenty of room. Very disappointed in sizing, will be returning, which is too bad because other than that it's a nice vest

Basically a good concept that needs to be refined to become a great vest. The basic idea is a vest with pleanty of poclets to keep stuff handy when out and about. Various issues are listed below. 1. The inside of the pockets are made from lightweight mesh which is not durable enough. Pockets should be made from tougher matrial. 2. The vest is too long. The lower pockets of hip length vest tend to annoyingly dangle around the hips when the pockets are loaded. The vest length should be about 4-6" shorter. 3. Too many ragged seams exposed on the inside. Inside seams should be finished more neatly. 4. The snaps are a clunky feature that should be eliminated. 5. The zipper needs to be two-way. 6. The draw-cord should be moved to waist level.

The quality of this product is good and the design has many good features with zippered pockets throughout. Unfortunately for my body type, the bottom was a little tight and the top bloused out at the shoulders. I couldn't use it so it was returned.

Style 1441721 is not to past quality. My example is former Style# AM1049. Notes: Is a heavier canvas material than Style# 144172 Look: Has 4 large Velcro flapped pockets on front [left & right] as a small Velcro flapped pocket over lower right large pocket. Has zippered sleeve pockets interior left side. Has open pockets on lower right & left sides. Zippered opening Bring back Style AM1049

While I thought I was getting another vest as I bought before, this one was very small for its size and lacked the back pocket and zippered inside pockets of my last vest purchase. Seems they have left these features out of the "newer" model...too bad...I had to return it.

I would love to give a review if I only had the vest to give my opinion. I was supposed to have the vest on the 19th and as of yet I have not seen it. It is a gift for my son who is in Michigan for Xmas but will be heading back to Fort Worth, TX Saturday 12/28. It looks like that when and if I receive the vest I will have to pay the additional cost of shipping the vest from Michigan to Texas. My opinion thus far overall, Not Too Good.
