Really like this line of pants from Columbia. I have 10 or so pairs in a variety of colors. The heat here in Charleston SC is sweltering in the summertime but I don't want to wear shorts as I am on the water 125-150 days a year so skin cancer is a big concern for me. These pants help with that problem but don't keep me sweating too much in the process. I have only 2 issues with these pants:
1. The belt on this new pair of pants seems to be a little different material than my others and it tends to slip more so it doesn't stay put to well.
2. On ALL of my Columbia pants after about 2 years I end up ripping the crotch of the pants because I am bending down a lot or just actively moving around the boat and this seems to be a weak spot. Maybe if there were just a small triangle of stretch material or something since this is a high stress area maybe they would last a little longer?

Bought 2 pair of the same size. One fit great, and the other was way too tight at the waist. Of course, I sent the smaller one back.
So far so good on the one which fits. Soft material and very comfortable. Length was good on both.

Wished my husband had liked these. he is very slender, so they were a little too baggy, but the material was great. good for warmer weather outdoor activities.

Durable pants that move and stretch when climbing. Drys quickly and great for packing when you are needing to save space.

Originally ordered these pants for casual wear. They sit low. Fit is pretty good until you wear them awhile then, the articulated knees start to look sloppy. To me, the belt that comes with them is pretty cheap and can be a pain when coupling and uncoupling. Also, they wrinkle easily. Personally, I believe they make better hiking or work pants than for casual wear. One thing for sure, they do dry quickly when wet.

I have 3 pair of these pants. They are great in warm weather. They are not as stretchy as I'd like and they are a pretty slim fit. I've been lifting weights a lot since I got them and I am not very comfortable in them now that my legs are more muscular. They are great if you have very thin legs.

I really do like the pants but the waist size runs a little small and the waist line runs shorter than the old PFGs. The inseam seemed to run longer too. Same kind of material that should last forever and keep me cool.

I got two of these pants at the store and love them the fit was great and the material is wonderful during the hot summer times. Online, I ordered two more colors that were not available to store and the size is very much different the ones online fit a lot more snug around the waist and thighs. While not as comfortable as the store-bought pants this is still a great item for anyone who lives in a hot climate !

Front slash pockets should be a little deeper to keep items from falling out when reclining. Back pockets need more or better Velcro to secure properly.

I ordered these pants to use for field work in the wet forests of Hawai'i. They are just what I needed as they dry out quickly and stay comfortable all day. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars and a "Good" quality are the stitchings around and in the pockets are coming undone; however, I'm sure that is mostly due to the day-in day-out abuse these pants get.

This is a great shirt. I can wear it in the field, or the classroom. It is hard to wrinkle and looks great. The shirt has a nice feel and button up sleeves. You could literally wear this shirt Backpacking and then to work on Monday. This summer I will trek about 200 miles on the Camino de Santiago and this shirt is definitely going with me!

I recently purchased several more of these shirts. I have found that they look good, but seem to run very small compared to the other Columbia shirts I have purchased, which is frustrating. A consistent size among the clothing should be at least standard within the company. Beside the size issues, the quality and function is all there. I am pleased with the look and feel of the material. Just be aware that this model of shirt is small and be sure if you do get one and you like how if initially fits, DON'T run it through the dryer - it is likely to get much tighter.

Like the material's weight, but two suggestions (1) change one of the velcro pocket closures to either a button, snap, or zipper closure and (2) belt loop positions on side and front allow the pants to not stay in position when you put anything (phone, etc) in the cargo pockets.

Wore this shirt to work day after I got it. Felt great on my bike commute - light, ventilated, good pockets with Velcro fasteners to keep things in place, good tail to cover back. After 8 hours, I noticed pils developed on the fabric by my waist along the sides from my belt. I was a little sad, but hey, this shirt roughed it with me and I'm going to put it through some hiking and more riding, so I'm sure it's going to get some serious wear and tear. Seams, sleeves, neck, buttons, vents are all very well stitched and I have a feeling this shirt will cover my back for some years to come. To adventure!

I have nothing against these pants, but I returned them because they are regular fit, and regular fit sits below the waist. I'm a relaxed fit person who prefers pants that sit on the waist. I wish there were more.

Purchased the Pant in Tusk, but the color swatch more closely resembles the color swatch (tusk) of the convertible silver ridge Pant. More on the light side rather than being darker in hue like the on-line picture. As mentioned by other customers, the pant does run tight and small in the crotch area; resulting in having to move up in size from, such as from a 34 to 38. This is the only way to wear them in a comfortable state rather than being compressed or caressed. They do dry quickly from perspiration or light rain. I like others do desire that there were more color selections, such as black, navy blue, or dark brown accompanying the current pastel color selections.

We live in hot and humid south florida and my husband does a lot of gardening and these pants are light weight durable and quick drying. There was a problem however with the belt. It was twisted and could not be fixed as the material around the buckle was sewn in.

I love nylon cargo shorts and have been wanting some comfortable, lightweight, quick drying nylon long pants, so bought these in a 44 to be sure they were not tight. (I usually wear a 42 or 40 comfort waist). These lightweight pants are very comfortable in warm or cool weather and also for moderately cold weather over long winter underwear. Only problem is too few beltloops, but they are OK if you remove the fabric belt and use a leather belt. Since I like these pants, I recently ordered some heavier weight nylon water resistant Columbia pants.

I have several of the Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts and really like the material as well as the fit. I figured the pants would be the same. Based on the reviews here I ordered one size larger but it was too big. I returned it and ordered a size smaller (my normal/shorts size) and it went back also because it was too small. I cannot advise anyone considering these pants to go either up or down a size; I guess you'll just have to try one and see. Since I haven't worn any I can only say that the shorts of the same material are terrific.
