As a landscaper, I purchased these to make the wear and tear on my legs easier. Grass clippings and debris sticking to your shins or cutting you up wasn't something I enjoy and I liked that I could unzip the pant legs and remove if I got hot. I've found that the pants are cool enough that I don't need to take off the bottom part and my legs aren't caked with grass. One of the best investments I've ever made with my business.

I ordered these in 34 x 36 for my husband who is between a 33 and 34' waist. The waist was too tight. I'd reorder in a 35" waist, but they are not available.

If get hot you can remove legs Tata that's your new shorts.

Just the name "Columbia" means Style and Quality to me.

I'm enjoying the pants so far, I was worried about breathability when on a hike but they've been great so far.

Good fit, great function, and easy care!

I've worn these pants now a couple of times on hikes. they give me the movement I need and breathablity so I don't over heat as the day goes on. Although I have not gotten in a kayak this season,yet, the zipper off legs and the give in the seat should make the day comfortable.

Got two of these for a safari trip. We got to play with some Lion Cubs for a few minutes. They tried their best to tear them up and failed. No holes or tears, perfectly in tact. They got me and my wife hard enough to leave marks. If these can survive that, quality must be good!

These convertible pants are the only pants I use living on a boat in the Caribbean, they have zip off legs which convert to shorts, they're light but strong fabric dries very quickly. These pants are excellent when going to shore on your dinghy due to the zippered and Velcro sealed pockets which prevent you losing your wallet, keys Etc. I have many pairs in different colors and they look sharp when when dining casually. I'll be 71 this month and these pants give you freedom of movement and make me feel 20 years younger.

I work outside gardening, mowing and walking my dog. These pants are comfortable, cool, very light and give me the movement I need. I need the sun protection that Columbia products gives me and these are no exception.

These pants are lightweight and flexible. Well made with sturdy zippers. Easily converts from pants to shorts. Comfortable fit. I will definitely purchase again.

My wife and myself have changed a majority of our wardrobe to Columbia clothes. I know have 8 pair of pant and countless shirts, pull overs and jackets. The pants are probably the most comfortable pair Of pants I have ever worn. I highly recommend any article of Columbia clothing for style and for comfort.

The main reason I bought these pants was for hiking and camping. I like how they feel and how you can move around with these, which I think will come in handy when hiking or going camping. They are breathable, light, and comfortable. I can feel the materials are of good quality. Another reason I think these pants are great is that you have the option to turn them into shorts for those sunny and hot days. I can't wait to start using them in the outdoors. I would recommend anyone to get one of these. I purchased the grill and tusk color but will get another color.
