These are the most versatile, lightweight, breathable, stylish pair of pants I have ever owned. The comfort alone is fantastic... I especially like the slightly elastic hips. I love how these pants are true to the "classic" fit...and is great for slimmer guys. There are plenty of baggy pants out there for guys wanting relaxed fits . These Columbia pants are perfect!

I just received this year's (2012) re-designed Men's Silver Ridge Convertible Pants... XLNT Have been buying these for the last 3 years. Last years were the worst... inside of the pockets to small.. no elastic areas on waist.. belt way to stiff. This years are the BEST.. They changed the belt.. xlnt. They changed the pocket size, larger like the year before.. Xlnt. And re-did the elastic in the waist. XLNT. Hope they hold up well like always. I do miss the extra right side zipper for my money.. Wish they would add it in next years re-design. I am impressed... Columbia, you are listening to your customers. THANKS

This is exactly what I was expecting from this purchase. The pants fit well and look good. The zippers for the pant leg operate well and are smooth.

Fantastic pants, I have a lot of them in different colors but why you can't find them anymore in the "top class" color blue ??

These pants are incredible. Great as pants or shorts. Very comfortable and great price.

I've been using this model line since the last 10years. Very happy with sizes and material quality. Nearly daily wear, hiking, city, light sports. Wouldn't mind if Columbia launched occasional "limited edition" with crazy colors.

These are the pants I wear year round. They stay looking nice and are very comfortable.

I have been wearing these pants as zip-off shorts for 6-7 years now. Mostly as shorts, but are great when you need to zip on the legs. I have seven pairs.

What Id say its a third pair, and it says everything, overal I have 10 pairs titanium etc these are Best pants ever but sometime you need something else

Well made and functional. The fit is a bit snug in the butt, and the fabric has no stretch. Great pants if you don't have much of a butt. Would be great if a bit more room in the butt, or a bit of stretch in the fabric. I have proportionately larger than average butt

Pants that convert to shorts for outdoor activities.

These pants are lightweight, and comfortable! Zip off legs come in handy!

Fits a little snug but good quality. I would like a little stretch on the inseam up to the groin of the pants. Feel like them might rip if I try doing some real climbing.

I bought these because I couldnt get a set of convertible 5.11s in my size. They are super light but they have very little give and definitely fit tight so Im a little concerned about how they will hold up if Im climbing. They are super comfortable though and I have yet to see how water resistant they are but I will likely find out later this summer.

Great fit, easy zippers. Stitching where it should be. Would recommend adding vertical zips to the bottom of the pants to encourage easier removal over shoes/boots.

Comfortable, nice, lightweight pants idea for hiking; I thought these would be good for foreign travel due to security pocket right leg. There is only one zippered pocket - several velcro - they still would be good travel pants for hot climates where there might not be high concern for pickpocketing. Fortunately, I like hiking and walking too, so these are great. They do run small, so I had to order one waist size higher.

I have several pair of these and like the convertible function. I gave them a 2 star because most of the pockets have ripped open. Really lousy stitching and quality control.

These are well made with great lines, and great material.

Great fit. Very consistent w/ the last pair I bought. they dry out very quickly and have great pockets that are well-placed so that stuff (phone) does not fall out.

I've owned 6 pair of these pants. 5 convertible cargo and one of the more expensive Utility Convertible cargo. Initially I loved them. Every single pair has had atlest one of the back pocket stitchings come out if not both back pockets. Additionally most of mine have had a front pocket stitching fail as well. I can't tell you how many times I've randomly had some content of my pockets slide down my leg mid hike. If this was a one off issue, no problem, stuff happens. But all of them. Forget it. I just paid $20 a pair more for the REI version of these cause I won't buy these again. It's not worth my frustration.
