These pants are comfortable, durable, functional, they wash up great and they keep their color after many washes. I wear them almost every day! GREAT PRODUCT for all types of wear.

This is my first convertable pant, I chose it based on it puts two additional pockets on the sides, not on the front, and one of them has zipper (I wish both has zipper). After I received it and tried it on, I found it fits me very well and looks good too, the only two things I was concerned were it is not waterproof and the material is not thick enough. But when I went to a trip at end of Oct. I decided to bring the pant along. When I put the pant on at temperature at lower 60 degree F I found it is still OK, that's a surprise.

I have been trying to find the right fit on this pants for a while, seems that they come a little tight on he crotch and short on inseam, also waist is a little on the edge. I got the last pair one size larger on both waist an inseam, they fit perfect. This is an excellent creation from this people.

I'm 5" 8", 150lbs, athletic build. Normally fit pant waist30-32 and 30 on this fits perfect. I like how the shorts are not baggy on the bottom like most other shorts. If you have thighs like "King Kong", it may be tight. This have both zippered and Velcro pockets. The zippered ones to prevent things from falling out and Velcro pockets for easy access. Very light weight fabric..fast drying. Great traveling pants!

This is a practical pant that can be turned into a pair of shorts by quickly unzipping the pants above the knee. It dries quickly and can be easily washed by hand. The pockets are great for hikes and long walks. This is advertised as a man's pant, but it fits women also and is better than most women's pants because of the number of pockets.

I got a new pair of these because my waist size went down... great, lightweight, durable pants. Love the removable sleeves so they can become shorts. I like them as sweatpants, camping pants - they have a bunch of pockets as well for little things you may want to have access to but don't want to feel in the pocket area... Good for a hike, a run, a bike ride, even tennis in the colder months.

Pockets are located where I want them; consequently the pants look tailored when I'm wearing them. They stay very wrinkle free and color fast.

Great pant for wet wading in the summer months in colorado rivers. Dries quickly and gives good sun protection. Highly recommend.

Bought a couple pairs of these (with the elastic waist and belt loops) several years ago and loved them...traveled all over the world and they kept asking for more. Then, they were dropped from the inventory and I couldn't find anything similar. Tried others but just not the same. Now that these are back, I'll buy a couple more. That should do me for many future trips!

I can just recomend this product, one piece of excellence.

All of the Columbia products I have ever ordered have been of excellent quality and the Silver Ridge Convertible pants are no exception. I like the fit, the comfort, the material and the construction. Since I'm retired, I'll probably wear these year round.

I ordered these pants off the Columbia website, in green. Light, functional, and they look great! When it comes to bush-wacking, the thin material gets caught often, but when it comes to just hiking around on a clear path, they work great. I highly recommend the Silver Ride pants.

As a fishing guide, I'm on the water all day long. Having clothes that will keep you cool and being able to give sun protection is mandatory. My silver Ridge long pants do just that. Very light weight and quick drying out on the water for those really hot days that wearing shorts would leave me fried. Thanks Columbia, I don't leave the dock without my Columbia gear on. Capt. My husband wanted to try these pants for an upcoming motorcycle trip he is planning. We received the pants and he has worn them constantly. The weather has been hot, so he can ride his bike to work, and when it gets hot, unzip the legs and have a pair of lightweight shorts. He says the pants are VERY comfortable to wear and then great when it gets hot and he can convert to shorts at a minutes notice, then back on again for the trip home. He gives these pants an A+++++

Great pair of activewear pants-have 6 pairs total of the older Silver Ridge and this new pair. Especially like the utility of being able to detach the pants legs to make shorts! Great quality, price is OK-a bit spendy, but quality is definitely there.

My 15 year old son is tall and slender and I have trouble finding pants that offer small waist sizes with long inseams. These run true to size. The pants are comfortable, great for hiking and casual wear. I chose the lighter color as we hike in areas with ticks but I was worried about dirt/stains. After several washings they look great and they dry quickly whether in the dryer or on the line. I plan to buy another pair.

Both my wife and I have many Columbia shirts, coats, jackets, pants, shorts, gloves and hats. Recently I added 2 pair of green Silver Ridge pants to my Columbia Collection. I have different colors of these great pants, which I use both at home and on vacation. The versatility of the zipping off the bottom half of these pants converting them into shorts is great. My wife and I love to travel to tropical destinations and these pants just plain allows me to minimize what I need to pack for a trip, being a pant and a pair shorts all in one garment. Meaning I can use a carry on vs paying the penalty for check in luggage and still look great for our adventures.

I bought these pants at my local REI store just prior to a recent seven day trip to Mexico. I'm a "compact" guy -- hard to fit -- and the 32x30 size was perfect. The lightweight and easily packable poly fabric was awesome in hot and humid Mexico. I've given up an cotton, much preferring poly fabrics in the tropics on trips to places like Mexico, Costa Rica and Hawaii. I wore the shorts every day in places like Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Punta Laguna, zipping on the leggings for dressier dinners at upscale restaurants. I took a pair of my beloved -- and well-traveled -- Columbia Titanium cargo shorts but I didn't wear them a single time. Next on my shopping list: Another pair of Silver Ridge pants but this time maybe in the Peatmoss color; I already have Tusk.

If you're used to a relaxed fit pair of pants these may not be the ones for you, but if you like a pair of well cut pants that are durable and trail friendly then try these! I bought two pairs and for me they fit great. I wore them on a weekend backpack trip right out of the box and they stood the test. I would recommend them to anyone that prefers an athletic fit versus a baggy cargo pants fit. The sizing for me (waist and length) was right on the money.

These are great for running especially in the winter months. I do tough mudders and goruck challenges and these are great. They dry very quickly, are very comfortable and look cool. I'd advise to to be careful on sizing. buy 2 sizes larger in the waist. I normally wear a 32 waist but that size felt very tight so I got the 34 waist and they fit very nicely.

Love the fit and feel. We were hoping to order a similar pant from you, got these instead. They are actually better.
