These are the perfect black gladiator sandals. They come with all the comfort. These shoes never cease to get noticed when I wear them.

I ordered these in brown and loved them so much that the next day I ordered them in black!

No one has a harder time finding shoes than me. Narrow heel, high arch and instep, and knee and back problems are a bad combo. Just ask Zappos how many pairs I've had to return. But I finally found them! I will be travelling in Italy for a month this summer and have been looking for the right shoes for a couple of months. These are the ticket. Total comfort. not running shoes, but well cushioned and supportive for a sandal. And did I mention I'm going to Italy? They have to be stylish too. I got the orange ones and though orange may be my favorite color I don't wear it much because it isn't good with my skin tone. But these are great. A bit darker than in the photo, but the perfect pop for my monochromatic travel wardrobe. Super cute. The upper strap is gong to take some getting used to (which is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars), but they are keepers!

Felt like they were worn for months when I first put them on my feet. No break in period necessary, and the quality is wonderful both in construction and style. I can wear these for hours and forget they are on my feet. Love the Velcro closure on the ankle since I tend to swell in the heat. The leather quality is excellent in that it is soft, yet substantial and well finished. Overall, just a quality, well designed sandal. Worth every cent!

Great summer wear. It seems to fit well but I haven't tried walking any distance.

Very cute and comfortable shoe, but felt half to full size too large so I am exchanging for a smaller size. Straps are soft leather, no pinching anywhere, very little arch support (to be expected from a sandal), soft sole. Overall I expect to be very happy with it!

Very cute and stylish. Comfortable right out of the box. Probably the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. Have wide feet with a very high arch and have never had a pair of shoes/sandals that fit this well.

So great...if it fits. This shoe is really awesome on, and has a great footbed with good support. It stays put and looks cool, is lightweight and the leather is soft. As other reviewers have said, my experience is that it runs a full size too big. Normally I wear an 8.5, and the 8 was too large and the 7 too small. I do wish Merrell made these in half sizes because in order to keep them I would have to have a 7.5. Alas, they don't, so they're being returned. I am a photographer and these would have been great to shoot those 12-hour wedding days where quick movement of supported feet is always needed. Zappos, as usual, is great to work with - fast shipping and easy returns. Once you shop with Zappos, you'll never go into a shoe store again.

I just got these shoes yesterday and they are so comfortable! As soon as I put them on I was very happy with the choice I made. I got them in the lychee color and love them. Foot support is great and can't wait to wear them all summer for lots of concerts and camping

I was a bit worried when I first tried these sandals on because they seemed tight. I am a normal size 7. I put them back in the box, and then, the next morning I tried them on again and walked around my house for about 10 minutes. That did the trick. I have been wearing them ever since. They are extremely comfortable and cushy.

I wanted to love this shoe. The green is a lovely color and the leather is soft. However, the patterned piece that goes across my foot rubs in way that I knew would not improve. It's cut fairly wide, and big. I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9, and the 8 fit.

These shoes are awesome. I totally love them. They're comfy, and the ankle strap keeps your foot from slicing forward. I always wanted some gladiator-like sandals, but not totally strappy and these are perfect!

These are very comfortable shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and it is hard to find flat shoes that have enough arch support. I can wear these all day. They are a bit casual, but are more stylish that many "comfort shoes."

I ordered them Wednesday - received them Thursday and wearing them today (Friday)! The price almost scared me off but I'm glad I ordered them! Very comfortable and more than stylish!

Love this sandal! It's soft and comfortable for walking in all day long. The contrasting cord is not scratchy like another reviewer mentioned. My feet are a size 8, but the 8 was way to large. Exchanged it for a 7 and it surprisingly fits. All except for the sizing issue, this sandal is perfect.

This is my first Merrell shoe and I love it! Incredibly comfortable right out of the box -- no rubbing anywhere, no blisters. The sizes are a little off though. I followed other reviewers' advice and bought a size smaller. I always wear an 8; I bought a 7 and it fits perfectly.

Really like these sandals. They're a fun and comfortable twist on the roman sandal. It's great to have a bit of arch support. My only criticism would be that they are a bit wide over the toes, and I don't have a narrow foot.

These are interesting, but have too many design flaws for most feet. The straps need to be able to be adjusted, and the rope part seemed like it would rub. Merrell really needs to make wide shoes. People with wide feet care more about comfort and will gladly pay for it.

Great shoe, very comfortable. Arch support fit me perfectly. Unfortunately the shoe is too wide for my foot and I sadly have to return it.

Finally I found a pair of black sandals that are perfect in every way. Their stylish, quality materials and comfy! I went back and bought the olive. So cute!

Super comfortable right out of the box! Barely feels like I even have a shoe on. They look sexy and sporty at the same time and look great with both shorts and skirts. Can't wait to wear them all summer, think I'll get a second one in another color.

Being a girlie-girl and prefer to wear girlie style these still look stylish on the feet. So glad they are part of my wardrobe. Even thought the sandal only comes in M width I wear a 10W, perfect fit. Very comfortable.

These run big (at least a half size bigger than the Merrel Amber). The ankle strap is a bit snug. Arch support is okay but I would have preferred more.

Very comfortable footbed and stylish to boot. Alas the cord running across the foot was scratchy and tight next to my skin (I have a high instep). Had to send them back so reluctantly because it's hard to find stylish sandals with excellent arch support and wide enough for my foot.
