It really is like walking barefoot. They are cute and comfortable - the holy grail of footwear. At first I thought they were a bit big for my narrow foot, but it seems like they adjusted and they fit really well socks or no socks.

Barefoot shoes take some getting used to, so don't wear them the first time on a hike. Otherwise, they've become my go-to shoes for walks, weekends, and around the house/yard. And I think they're pretty cute!

Cute shoe and nice colors but I would not plan to do a serious amount of walking in them. I had planned to use them as my main pair of dog walking shoes but there is no support and the sole is so thin I worry about street debris (glass, nails, etc) breaking through. They definitely work with jeans if you are looking for a casual shoe - just didn't meet my needs.

I generally wear size 7.5 C or D width, but some Merrell shoes fit in an 8 medium and this style is one of them. It's a pretty shoe and the sole has a good Vibram grip although not any support to speak of.

I am pretty consistent with a size 10, thanks to my long second toe. the toe box on these shoes starts angling down towards the small toe, so this is a NO GO for me.

I bought these shoes to wear for my volunteer job in a hospital this summer, 4 hours a week. I am accustomed to being barefoot and have a very high arch. It is like being barefoot when I wear them, because they have zero support. It works for me. I wish the insole was suede so they would be more comfy without socks. Super cute, but wouldn't recommend them for long periods of standing.

This is a review for the Merrell Barefoot Wonder Glove shoe. About me/my foot: I have worn Merrell shoes before, generally hiking or running. I typically wear a 7.5, have an average to very slightly wide foot and a high arch. I walk frequently in anything from metro US and international cities to many off-the-beaten path destinations. I demand comfortable shoes. First, I ended up with the 7, not the 7.5 I typically wear. The 7 fits for me. That said, I think the "feel" of the shoe is not highly supportive compared to other Merrell's where they have excellent arch support and overall feel incredibly comfortable, yet sturdy. But...this is Merrell's offering of a barefoot shoe - so it is not the point in this particular 'barefoot' shoe. If you are looking for the typical support you get from Merrell's hikers/runners, this is not the shoe for you. If you want a dynamite mash-up barefoot with ballet flat - this is the shoe for you. I wanted a shoe I could easily pack (I only travel with a carry-on, so space and weight matter a lot to me). I can jam these shoes into anything, my suitcase, bike pannier, etc. While I insist on comfort, I also want a shoe that looks good too... If I need to walk 3-4 miles around a city and want to be in a summer skirt, these shoes are great. I could envision doing a light hike, but nothing too technical. They remind me of other "sport" sandals, but look much cuter and I would say comparable on comfort (sorry Teva lovers). I gave a 4 out of 5 for comfort. To be clear, I think these shoes are very comfortable, but if I am rating this shoe against my most comfortable runners - they are not as comfortable. Given the shoe design, I labeled it as "no arch support" - at least for me. I have a high arch, but nothing in this shoe strikes/supports my arch, but there is a little padding in the "arch zone" that may be more supportive for people that are flatter footed. As for the comments I read before purchase about feeling like you are walking on pavement...indeed...afterall, these are barefoot shoes... My vantage: I don't own a single pair of standard ballet flats because every pair I have tried felt like the ball of my foot was 'beating' the pavement. That factor, coupled to my heel rub and a tight toe-box, I have never found standard ballet flats to be comfortable or work for me. These shoes are quite comfortable to me and I would definitely recommend them. Happy shopping!

Typically I love this brand but this show has no arch support. But they are cute. If I had tried them on in a store I would not have bought them.

The shoes are very stylish, look very nice on your feet and are incredibly soft and comfortable! Unfortunately for me, I have very bad arches and need a shoe with the most arch support I can find. I had to return these, regrettably, but would definitely recommend them.

At first I thought these shoes were too big (I wear an 8 and the 8 seemed big) but the 7½ seemed too small. I was also worried about wearing barefoot shoes. After having these a few weeks, I am super happy with them. The fit is loose, but that is how the shoes are supposed to be. It took a couple of days to feel totally comfortable walking around in such minimal shoes, but I am used to it now and they are very comfortable. I wear them every day and think they look great with jeans, slacks or a dress for work.

I've been trying to find a comfy summer slip on...I have my fingers crossed because I ripped off the tags on these. I normally take a 9.5, but decided to get the 10 in these & it was a good decision. Feels very comfy. The problems I've been having is that many shoes/sneakers are to low or there is no toe room...and the top of my toes get red & scraped badly. My toes are a bit chubby...so I hope it doesn't happen with this shoe. My foot does slide off to the sides a bit, & there isn't much support in this shoe...but it's comfy still. It's difficult for me to find a perfect shoe/sneaker, boot, etc. Thanks to Zappos for putting up with several returns until I found something I could wear.

I absolutely love these shoes! The toe box is wider than on most shoes and I need that. It's difficult to get a nice looking shoe that actually has room for your toes without pinching them. They are so comfortable and stylish. It's true they don't have good arch support, but as I go barefoot most of the time, I have no problem with it. Great for running errands or just running around town.

Not the best looking shoe, but is a great casual shoe for keeping up with my pre-k kids on the weekends. I like the barefoot style, but refuse to wear foot 'gloves.' I had a pair of these last year, and they held up very well. Unfortunately, after wearing my normal size for a season, I realized they were ever-so-slightly too small and were putting pressure on my big toe. Now I've order a half-size up. The next size up fits fairly loosely, but the strap keeps them on and I don't think it will be a problem. Now if they could improve the color selections, I'd be back for a second pair.

These have to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought and I have purchased 4 pairs in different colors. Contemplating another color as well! They are not a shoe to go walking the streets with; however, for daily wear in and around the office they are very comfortable. I have arthritis in my feet so a shoe has to "give" as I go about my day and these adorable shoes do just that. Normally I would kick off my shoes as soon as I got home but not these. They fit their name as they are truly like being barefoot. They do run small so order next size up!

These shoes are really cute, but not all that comfortable. I bought a size 9, which is my usual size, and the shoes do slip up and down quite a bit. The very good thing about them is the wide toe box. My feet are a little wide at the toes, and tend to fall asleep and hurt in a lot of shoes, but not these. They do give me zero support though, but I wasn't exactly expecting them to. They are true to their name, and almost feel as if you're barefoot. If it weren't for the slipping up and down, they would be perfect for what I bought them for, to wear as everyday comfortable shoes.

These shoes are beautiful. They look fabulous on, much better than I expected. I love the swirl flower design along the side. They are soft and very lightweight. I have to send them back, though, because the toe box is not square enough for me. On the outer edges of the shoe, the slope from front to back is too steep, causing my smaller toes to get pushed into the edge of the shoe as I walk, while there is too much room in the big toe area. If not for this issue, I would have one of every color of these shoes. As a comparison, I have a pair of the Merrell Barefoot Pace Glove, and the toe box fits me much better there, Also, I felt the sizing of the Merrell Barefoot Pace Glove is the same as for this shoe - both for me run about 1/2 size small. I took a picture of them on my feet, and my mother loved them so much she ordered a pair for herself. I hope they work for her!

I am enjoying these cute comfy shoes. The color is a little more green than it looks in the pictures-sort of sage, less khaki. I have been told that the point of barefoot design is to build the arch and strength of the foot, but really I would prefer a little bit of arch support. We'll see.

This shoe is super cute! One of my feet is ever so longer than the other which is a problem for me. I think the fit is true to size but the issue I had is that the elastic in the back of the shoe pushes your foot forward in the shoe. My big toe was not an issue it was the other 4 digits...the toenails they kind of scrape the front which is a hard surface inside and I feel as though a full day of walking would irritate the nail beds, (be sure to clip your nails short). So they are going back, I could order the 9 but I think it might start to slip on the foot, and not sure it will solve the issue i had with the design. Overall -- comfortable, no scratching or any rubbing that I could tell, the strap fit great, stylish loved the asymmetrical design. If it were not for that issue of toes touching the front... it would have been my favorite all time shoe. My advice is order a size up or try your regular size and one size up to compare. I ordered the black, 8.5. Many times in general, l I buy size 8 though, just depends on the manufacturer. I would like to know if after wearing will that elastic sort of give more in the back so that the toes won't push forward after breaking them in. I would love to hear if that happens, can anyone comment?

This is my second pair of these shoes which tells you that I love them, but the reason for four stars is that Merrell has changed their sizing - at least for small sizes. My first pair was a size 5 that they then considered to be a European size 35. They fit perfectly. For some reason, they are now sending out European size 36 as a size 5. I don't know if they changed sizes for the whole range, but beware, shoes that used to fit may be too big.

These shoes are very comfortable to wear around the house or for light walking. They have no support, so do not expect them to be comfy all day for walking unless you don't need any support. I love the color and the fit.

Haven't worn them much and not sure I can keep them because the Indigo color is WAY more purple than they appear on screen. Wish I had ordered black. Also, 8.5 is my size down and they seem a little loose. Probably will just keep them so I don't have to post office.

I love these shoes. They are light and cute! I put the insole because these shoes don't have the arch support very much, but overall, they are comfortable and easy to put on. The straps help to stabilize your feet.

Really cute and stylish looking shoe on (yellow) - little bit of a pointy toe look and the diagonal strap looks cool. Cute with skirts, skinny jeans. Decided to send back because the body of the shoe felt too loose/roomy, but at the same time, the footbed felt too narrow - the edges of my feet felt like they were falling off the footbed, even though they had plenty of room in the body of the shoe, if that makes sense. Maybe if I had a narrower foot and sized down this wouldn't be a problem - not sure.

Casual but classy. Had to return first pair because my regular size was at least a 1/2 size too small. Love Merrell shoes for comfort and hope once I get the correct size, this "wonder glove" will live up to its name.
