After asking for recommendations for comfortable flats from FB friends (and getting a huge response!) I bought these shoes for a 2 week trip to Ethiopia. It was all about comfort for me but I still found these to be super cute! The first two days I wore them I thought I was going to cry with how much they hurt, a portion of that potential crying time in the Amsterdam airport when I wanted to toss them in the garbage can. I don't know what happened, but on day 3 and moving forward they became the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. I'm sure it just took my feet a little time to get used to not having a big cushiony bottom.

Great minimalist shoe. I love them for wearing to yoga. I also like them for walking about the mall. Perfect shoe for travel, feels like a slipper with good protection for the souls of your feet. I have 2 pair, love them!

I am a window clerk for the USPS and have been wearing this shoe for 1 1/2 years. I literately stand on my feet 8-10 hours a day. when I"m not working I am either barefoot or wearing Vibram 5 finger shoes. I used to have trouble with my feet, back and hips, after getting no relief from other shoes and inserts and the doctor, I decided to do the opposite of what the foot doctor was recommending. At age 56 I am doing better now than I have been in the last 15 years. I will never go back! Barefoot (or as close as you can get away with) is the only way to go! Love this shoe!

Barefoot shoes are wonderful, if you are ready to wear them. They do not offer support like many other shoes which encase your feet into rigid coverings offering heavily padded footbeds. It seems counter-intuitive to put on a shoe which does not fit the typical model; however, once your feet are made to work out again and strengthen, the magic begins. I love these shoes. Been running in Nike Free 3.0 soles with a minimal drop and lots of flexibility in a style which put the mid to forefoot on the ground first. The stride is shorter, but the shock to the knees and hips are minimized. I have become so accustomed to wearing flexible shoes. The thought of having to wear a more restrictive shoe with a skirt or non workout clothing had me concerned. Then I found Merrell's barefoot line and the Wonder Glove! They are perfect. Got them in black and they look dressy enough to go to a classics concert and great with jeans, too. I wear a US size 7.5-8 depending on manufacturer and style. In European sizes that translates to 37-38. I ordered 7.5. My feet are on the narrow side. The Wonder Glove is not too loose and stays nicely on my feet. The Vibram sole is flexible but sturdy making walking and even running comfortable. I did not buy these for running, but they can move nicely. Very happy with these shoes and with Zappos. Merrell's website offers some training tips on how to condition your foot for wearing barefoot shoes. These are same kind of exercises were given to me by a trainer with a masters degree in exercise physiology. I am stronger, more balanced and no longer suffer foot pain from plantar fasciitis.

The most comfortable and most stylish I ever had! I use these shoes at work where I stay on my feet all day long.

I have a pair of these in aluminum. These shoes are fantastically comfortable, very durable, and definitely cute. I have been wearing barefoot Merrell's for over a year and have noticed any foot pain I once had is virtually gone. These shoes are great for those with narrow heels - they allow plenty of room in the toe box without slipping at the heels. I have always had a problem with my toes feeling cramped by ballet flats. My least favorite thing about this shoe is how far the button the strap hooks on to sticks out. I find the button annoying a little annoying if I am sitting cross-legged.

Cute shoe. Looks stylish and dressy but seems robust. Packs very small. Like it better with cork inserts for support.

Love these shoes. I love to walk barefoot. I have better balance barefoot and I'm not as clumsy. These are the first pair of shoes I've owned that let me walk naturally. Since I'm used to walking barefoot and am on my feet all the time as a music teacher, there was no "adjustment period" for me. They felt amazing from day one. One warning, they are rather thin soled. They would not be appropriate for walking the hot sidewalks of phoenix in July-September. Anywhere else should be fine. :)

The best! Slip on and go! One of the hardest things to do is replace a favorite pair or shoes. I had worn my old ballerinas for years but when their time came, I found this great shoe, which is just as comfortable as a broken-in pair right away. I love Merrells and this style is one of many I enjoy.

If you like to go barefoot inside, these are the shoes to wear outside. They are true to size. I liked them so much, I ordered another pair in black.

Although the barefoot technology is a change, I really like the feel and style of this shoe. It also makes for a great packable shoe, so lightweight.

Having adapted my feet to minimalist running over the past year, I was looking for a shoe I could wear anywhere, since I could only dress up my Merrell Trail Gloves so far. My foot is long (women's 12 running shoe -- 11 in normal shoes), average width and has a high arch, and the size 11 wonder glove fit perfectly. It took one day to break them in with thin socks, and I've been wearing them ever since with no chafing or problems. I'm usually skeptical about shoes with a strap that goes over the top of my foot, but it does not dig in, nor is it too loose, and the clasp seems durable. The color is fabulous -- like a pair of faded blue jeans. These are zero drop (just like the trail gloves) and very flexible, with plenty of room in the toe box without looking like clown shoes. In fact, these look very pretty, even on size 11 feet! If you're looking for a lot of support, this is the wrong shoe for you. But if you are already an avid minimalist, then you will love these. It's like wearing ballet slippers, without the stigma. The only drawback is that these would not be great in inclement weather. Thank you, Merrell for making a feminine minimalist shoe!

So comfortable. I usually wear a 9 wide, and these (size 9 medium) fit perfectly. I own two pair -- black and aluminum -- and wear them everywhere. It's like going out in your slippers only with style.

Love these shoes however they fit about a half size too small. I am reordering them in the next size up.

I bought a pair of these shoes because after spending a whole summer barefoot or in flip-flops, spending a day on my feet for wedding photography in regular shoes left me hurting. I needed something that would look semi-dressy, protect my feet, but give my feet the freedom to be barefoot. These shoes hit the mark on all of these points! I recently did a shoot where we accidentally ended up doing a 1½ mile hike in a park over rough, rocky terrain and these shoes protected my feet against the elements extremely well. It was amazing to both feel the texture of the ground as if I were barefoot, while feeling completely protected. And after 3½ hours of continuous walking, my feet did not feel swollen or aching like they normally do in any sort of athletic shoes (and I do own a pair of Merrell hiking shoes). I did have to mark these as "no arch support", but there is a little support at the arch because of how the strap comes across the foot. But having acclimated my feet to barefoot walking prior to buying these, it was a bonus. Overall, I am in love with these shoes and now want to buy another pair in a different color so I do not wear these out too fast!

I love these shoes. They are very cute and casual. There is not any support, but I find the Mary Jane strap helps with my support. The only draw back for me is living in Phoenix, the heat of the pavement on our triple digit days goes through the sole - I just walk quickly!

I love these shoes! I have many foot problems including a large bunion and I can only wear sandals, but these shoes are stretchy enough to be very comfortable. They are good-looking too. I have lived all my life in Florida and go barefoot a lot, and these really do feel like a glove on bare feet! They don't have a lot of support so if you need that, these may not be for you.

I love this shoe! It goes great with my summer and fall skirts and dresses, shorts or jeans. It is very comfortable, more so than any other ballet flat I have tried. I can wear them all day with out my feet getting sore.

I love these comfortable shoes, they are like wearing gloves on my feet. I have worn them on long shopping expeditions and they felt great. I also like that they go with both casual and work clothes.

Most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Seriously, this shoe is unfair to other shoes. In a few short months I have worn mine most days. Excellent for walking the dog, running to the store, and basically bumming around. The soles are so flexible and durable. I hate wearing shoes in general - I'm a barefoot girl all the way! These shoes get me as close to being barefoot as I can be in NYC without worrying about my feet becoming filthy or injured.

This is without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I have been in and out of the hospital during the past year and walking has been an issue during much of that time. I feel very safe and secure wearing this shoe as it molds to your foot and hugs it like a glove. Hence the name! The shoe can be worn in most circumstances from the backyard to the office and it looks great. I will be ordering more from this company. Thanks.
