I bought these a few months ago to try out an all leather wedge style boot because they are supposed to be more comfortable. Man I struck out. I originally thought they just needed to break in but I have been wearing them since December. Feet have been hurting so bad, I'm thinking about throwing them in the garbage and eating the cost.

I purchased these boots 3.5 years ago. I wear them almost daily. They have held up very well as a landscaper and fence builder. I do treat them with a mink oil to make them a bit more water resistant which does darken the color of the leather but I dont mind. They are comfortable and have nice room in the toebox unlike many running shoes.

Ive owned at least 3 pairs of the Ashby boots and the first 2 were great and held up 2+ years for each pair until my most recent pair. I have own this pair for just under a year and roughly a couple months after the 6th month warranty I noticed all of my laces were starting to fray and get cut by the eyelets the only thing Ive noticed is the price go up and quality control down the drain

I had gotten these boots on my birthday and not even 2 months into putting them to work the stitching started falling apart on the toe exposing the aluminum toe. I wouldnt buy these boots ever again. I tried reaching out to the company and they said they would send me a return label so that they can check them out and maybe give me a new pair. Hopefulthey havent given me a shipping label or even a call back and its been 2 weeks going onto 3. I dont think 7 week old boots should start ripping/ falling apart. I do remodel interior work and this company let me down. My timberlands lasted a year before ripping and falling apart. So spend your money wisely.

I took a chance and bought these before moving to Hawaii. Its 18 months of nothing but lava and construction. All the other boots and sneakers Ive worn intermittently got ground up by this lava months ago and these boots are still holding up. Having been construction for 30 years Im so impressed with them Im ordering another pair. The most comfortable boots Ive ever worn.

If I had more narrow feet I would give them five stars but nobody seems to make a 4E Moc Toe boot so i cant give them higher than a 3. This has been a life long struggle and with all the searching ive done over the years for a 4E boot I've found it is pretty common and im not unique to this issue. There is a huge market for it and it would create a lot of new business if someone would make them because there is no competition.

I bought this boot 1 month ago and have became a fan of it at first I was hesitant on it as I usually wear composit toe boots but for the price you don't even notice the safety toe in these I bought them in a wide size as I have wide feet and they fight just right I'll definitely buy these again also I'll throw this in I'm 5ft5 and weigh 280 pounds I can go for hours in these boots

Not even 2 months and the are ripping already. My last boots (80 dollar cheap boot) lasted about a year. I do construction (siding/roofing). And after a long day when i get home my feet look like I been in the pool all day. Going back to the cheap boots that last longer.

I've purchased these boots twice. They are very comfortable right out of the box, only downside is they don't hold up very well. 2 pair in 1 1/2 years at $189.00. I'm not sure I can go back the third time.

The soft toe Ashby's fit great, are very comfortable & didn't require any break-in time. I work on a grove, just mainly packing, shipping, & receiving and I'm on my feet pretty much all day. I've only had them for a short time, but they have held up like a champ. I would definitely recommend them.

I would really recommend getting a wide size fit since the boots are very narrow around the toe area. Very tight, I thought I could break them in but after 2 weeks they still hurt. The durability and comfort still feel pretty solid just wish I had gotten a bigger size.

I picked up the Ashby's about seven years ago when I bought my house knowing I was going to be doing some DIY projects around the house and handling all the landscape duties. I also use these at work while doing some field work. They didn't take long to break in as I wore them everyday for about 3 months straight. They look great, the fit is amazing and they are extremely comfortable. I will continue to wear them for many years to come. I have recently purchased some 8138s for casual wear. As for the Ashby's I recommend these to anyone who wants a great boot for work or for pleasure.

I bought my second pair of Ashbys about two weeks ago. My first pair was size 11 (my typical size) and were great for over a year so I went for pair two... something in the left boot seems off as if it was made incorrectly. The right boot is just as comfortable as my last pair but the left puts substantial pressure on the inside of my big toe and ball of foot. These may be a decent boot when built correctly but the quality control must be declining or non existent anymore... Ive worn them for over 10 days with at least 120 hours in these boots hoping they would break in and the pressure points and pain would go away but it hasnt improved. This is not a foot issue as Ive never had any sort of foot problem and never have experienced this with any other boot or shoe including my previous Ashbys. Unfortunately, the store I bought them at wont return them since Ive worn them long enough to consider them used. Waste of $150 as Im giving up on them and wearing my old Ashbys while I look for a pair of Thorogoods to replace them with.

This has to be the best boot I've ever purchased. I took them out of the box and wanted to wear them as a dressy shoe, they look that good. Shoe is comfortable felt like I was walking on pillows. I'm buying a second pair soon
