Purchased for my husband. He says they ran about a half size big. The new pair is comfortable, lightweight, a beautiful reddish-brown, and didn't need time to break in. They're water-resistant for sure, but the weather hasn't been too bad so we'll see if they're water-proof when we get some serious rain or snow.

These boots are great.. They are by far the most comfortable especially right out of the box. they are soft and theres really no break-in period with these.. The thing that i noticed the most was the weight they are so light compared to other top brands with the same design and Ive had them all including Redwings and there is NO comparison! No other boot comes close!!!

I purchased my boots back in December 2015 and must say they are very nice looking boots I had at least eight people compliment the boots. They took me about a month to break them in and they feel great. They are very well made quality boots. I will recommend buying a pair.

I've many pair of Redwing work boats in my 35 years of construction but this are far and away the best pair so far. They broke in fast and are supper comfortable. Not as expensive as others but the quality in materials and construction are up there with the best. Made in America by Americans!

As most of the other reviews have said, these boots are hands down the best boots by far I've ever owned and I've owned other styles of Red Wings that were twice this price and I've owned Danners and Wolverines just to name a few and as far as comfort, durability the Danners came close (but they're also 350.00) but close doesn't cut it. I'll take these Irish setters over any of the others any day of the week. I even wear 'em with shorts after I get off work. I work in 'em for 8-10 hours, go home and shower up and throw some saddle soap on them and wear them the rest of the evening.

My husband is not the review type but he told me yesterday that these shoes were hands down, the best construction shoes he's ever owned. They are comfortable and safe and he likes the way they look. He works for an architectural firm as a construction administrator. The sites are huge and require a lot of walking. The boots are heavy enough without being too heavy. Great buy, worth every dime.

Excellent boot! Great quality all over and they have a very comfortable footbed for all-day work. The laces tie up very quickly/easily, too. The leather is exceptional for this price range. The boots even stood the test of having paint spilled all over them -- they cleaned up great with water, and then I applied a good boot oil.

I bought these babies about two weeks ago and I love them. I work at a sawmill and am on my feet for 10 hours a day. The comfort and support is excellent. My right foot was badly broken about five years ago and causes me a lot of pain but with these boots I completely forget about my foot, which is a good thing. They are holding up well the rough environment I work in, and they are good looking, which is important here in Texas.

I received these shoes today and was quite pleased with appearance. Unfortunately the heel was too wide and even with my orthotics did not fit right in the heel area. The height of boot was also a little to high although possibly would break in ok.

I purchased these boots and wore them for about a month hoping they would break-in, but they never seemed to get better. The cushion inside the boot is great, but the sole is very stiff and the top of the boot rubs my ankles and creates soreness. Its hard to pinpoint one things that is the issue, it more of the combo with the stiff sole and rubbing ankles.

I cannot count the number of Ashbys I have owned over the years. I usually go through 3-4 soles on every pair I have owned. This boot is lite and great for working in hot Texas summers.

I weigh any where from 155-165 at any given point. I am fire sprinkler fitter and have loved every bit of these boots. Downside with my trade is often times being in standing water and you get what you get from them not being water proof, thats okay. My girlfriend tries to get me to wear a different brand, nah.. Ashby's for life lol I can still wear the ones I have now but the bottoms are to slick for me, has holes all in the leather and Ive tied together the shoelaces to many times. Its time to retire em!

I bought these shoes because a friend recommended them to me for my first job in construction but after the first week the back of the sole looked like the picture below on both shoes. I reached out to customer support which took over two weeks to respond after I had sent them the pictures proving I had bought them recently as well as their current condition. In those two weeks I had to not only try to repair the soles myself but also buy a different pair from another company which I wear everyday now because the heals on these boots are now super uncomfortable. I really liked the boots for the short time that I had them I just wish they would have lasted longer or had a faster repair time after breaking so quickly.

I generally wear Danner but bought these instead. Nice boot. I like that it isnt insulated. And the sole seems to wear well. But in a world where US workers are getting pummeled, this is a one time purchase. I only did so because the leather was US. Bring back manufacturing. Ill buy it again. Btw, I bought the wide. They are even tight.
