I've been wearing this sandal for three years. I've had a lot of foot problems in the past and these shoes are the most comfortable I own. The arch support is excellent.

These shoes are wonderful! I have a problem with plantar fascitis and had to wear athletic shoes with good arch support to be comfortable. This shoe has a high arch and completely eliminates the discomfort. They are the only sandal which works and it actually is more comfortable than the athletic shoes! I needed one size smaller than my typical shoe, probably because I have a narrow foot.

I love the way they feel. But I took a long walk in them, before they were completely broken in and got blisters on the top of both feet! So don't get lured by the initial comfort!

Foot Fondlers - I now own six pairs of Mephistos and three of those are Helen. I am now almost totally addicted to wearing these sandals. I do need to buy one whole size larger than normal.

Very comfortable! I have narrow feet with low arches, so I am on a constant quest for comfortable shoes that fit well and are supportive without being too clunky-looking, especially since I'm on my feet all day. These fit the bill! The size 9's fit my 8 1/2 AA foot well. I highly recommend them and will try other Mephistos in the future.

These are great sandals. I'm looking to buy my fourth pair. I can walk miles and miles in them without any pain or blisters on my feet and they look great!

I now own 27 pairs of these wonderful walking shoes. I say walking because you can walk for miles in them and your feet never get tired out. I've been wearing them for several years now, and still have never been able to wearout once single pair. I Just LOVE THEM!!!

These are the best. I will wear them all summer and the two tones (taupe/ecru) I got are just beautiful and will go with anything. I feel these sandals will do my aching feet lots of good this summer! Once again, Zappos is the best on fast shipping and excellent quality and service.

Most Comfortable Sandal and Looks Good Too - I love this sandal. This is my 2nd pair of black patent because they are so comfortable but are a little more stylish than some.

This sandal is so comfortable! The sole immediatley gets the worn/dirty feet look, but other than that - they're fantastic! Definitely worth the money.

Wish I could award this sandal more stars than the Milky Way! I think it's the most gorgeous sandal in the world; I have 7 or 8 pr. and hope I'll have another by the time you see this! When I slip them on, I feel like I should be wearing a bikini and walking on a palm-lined beach! They're the perfect thong to show off those great looking toes and long legs; wear them with ankle chains to add a little sparkle! If you're not at the beach, they also look great with soft leather jeans. In the evening, switch to Madden's Pepe platforms to show that you've got more than one look up your sleeve! The Mephisto are more comfortable than Birk thongs (love those, too). The best colors are the smooth full grain leathers (white, black, red, tan...) as the suede uppers don't seem to last as well or look as sharp to start with. Shoes don't get any better than this!

I'll Wear These Every Day - I was sold on Mephisto shoes after buying my first pair 7 years ago when my sandals were killing my feet. There were instantly comfortable and I've worn them for at least 6 months every year since and they still aren't worn out! I purchased the Helens after deciding it was time for me to have a new pair. They are wonderful, comfortable and stylish, but I have to say Zappos earns the real 5-stars here, as my shoes arrived one day after I placed the order. They'd sent them next day air gratis. I would purchase any shoes from this retailer, as they know how to treat a customer!

Comfort and Quality - If you like all the different arch supports that are good for the feet but need cushioning too, then this is a good shoe. I wear Birkenstocks, but was needing more cushioning and this shoe had it. If is also good for someone with a small instep, as you can adjust the buckle over the instep. I would say that if you have a wide foot, this shoe probably would not work for you. It is cut fairly trim through the mid foot area, although they are broad in the forefoot, like Birkenstocks. Since there are no synthetic materials used in this shoe where it contacts your feet (footbed and straps) it is breathable and comfortable, especially in hot weather. They are also very cute on the foot and look especially nice with casual skirts. Very good value.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had! I have worn the same pair for two full summers and they still look good.

Purchased these sandles in Italy 4 years ago and they are still going. I live in these shoes from May to Nov, as NC weather is the best. It is time to purchase new as the patent is not looking quite as smashing. For the price one will get lots of mileage and wear and shoes that can be walked in for all the hours in a day and not have tired or sore feet. They are just the best!

I live in Bahrain and picked these up on a trip to the USA. I'll admit, the price floored me. When I got home to Bahrain, I put them on and never wear any other shoes! I have the tan lines to prove it. I have never owned a more comfortable shoe. The only disappointment I had is that I quickly stretched the instep to the furthest hole punch. But they continue to fit well and are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

Great shoes! Comfortable and the color patent leather was absolutely fabulous. I own several pairs of this style and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable sandal.

The best Sandals ever! Nothing is more comfortable! I order 2 pairs a year and never take them off. Simply the most enjoyable wear!

This is the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn -- better than barefoot! I own other Mephisto sandals, but I keep reaching for my Helen's! They’re stylish, attractive, and unbelievably wearable. There's no flop in this flip-flop -- the strap over the arch holds it securely on your foot. I wear a 7 1/2 wide and the 38 (8) fits perfectly. It’s worth every penny, and then some, with very high quality leather. The natural rubber sole is the secret to comfort here. Polyurethane soles simply can't compare.

Mephisto Flip Flops - I shall never wear another flip flop, since nothing compares to the easy comfort. I am on oxygen 24-hours per day and in a wheelchair most of the time, when I do walk (which I love to do) it was often painful, but not with Mephisto Shoes.

Mephisto Helen - I just recieved these sandals and they are by far the most comfortable sandal I have ever had. I'm 47years old and I can no longer walk around barefoot my heels hurt, however, with these sandals I could hike for miles. Buy these they are truly a great sandal.

I try always to order Mephisto sandals because of their comfort. This one is no exception to my high standard for comfort. I just have to get accustomed to the leather between the toes. I love the shoe! And I love all the colors!

Mephisto Helen - I love Mephisto shoes. This is not my favorite style, I prefer the Elka and the Irena, but they don't come in such nice colors.

The last sandal I'll ever own... I first found and bought the Mephisto Helen almost 5 years ago. This is, by far, the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn! I've created a whole band of Helen fans by raving about them! We wear sandals all the time, year round here in Dubai and so not only do they look good and feel good, they WEAR well, too! Zappos just needs to start shipping internationally to make getting my pairs of Mephisto Helen easier!
