I love them too - great for Plantar Fasciitis - I never write reviews, but this shoe has been so awesome that I just had to add to the acclaim on this board. I had severe Plantar Fascitis for almost 2 years (total of 4), and I feel that these sandals were part of finally getting better. I've worn Birks and Danskos and many others, but these really are great. I think they look good and are my "house shoes" as well as many other uses. By the way, if you have Plantar, please hang in there. I lost nearly all hope and never believed I'd get better. If you haven't tried yoga, try that. I basically had to dedicate my life to fixing my foot. But it finally happened. Enjoy the shoes!

Instant Favorite - Fantastic design; better than barefoot right out of the box. Provide the free feeling of no shoes with the support and protiection of sturdy soles. I can hardly wait for the snow to melt so I can wear them outside...

5 Stars Across The Board! These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. They can be worn in comfort all day long! I LIVE in these in the summer time!

Mephisto Helen -- Love it!! Mephisto is the only brand of sandal I have worn since 1990. Expensive but worth the price in comfort and durability. I have 5 pair of Helen and can wear them for several years before having them resoled at half the price of buying new. The bed of this shoe is like a high-quality orthotic.

Mephisto helen review - This sandal is awesome. It's not only incredibly comfortable it's also long lasting. I wear my pair all the time and they still work after 9 years. The look is also awesome. On a scale of 1-10 the Mephisto Helen gets a 10! GREAT JOB MEPHISTO!

Medphisto - Helen - I would like to see more available colors in size 10. I love the shoe. I have been trying to fine metalic gold and silver.

The metallic ones.... Well, I've got about 10 or 11 Helen's now; just got the gold pair that I've been wanting. Two words: AWE SUM!!!! Wicked cute, makes me feel like dressing up like Cleopatra--queen for a day time--harem pants, ankle chains, peeled grapes! I *worship* gold sandals anyway, so this was a great find, and these are the shiniest, goldest, cutest ones I've got. Only thing I mark them down on is that the metallic leather is very stiff, not super soft like my tan ones, black ones, yellow ones, red ones, white ones.... you get the pic. But as I wear them they seem to be softening up a bit, and they're still wonderfully comfortable, just less so than the other Helen's. Now, on to finding a silver pair!

Summer Sandel - I have high arches and a tendency to fold my feet in on there sides when Im standing. This sandel keeps my foot comfertable and flat.I bought my first pair 4 yerars ago,and add a new every year now.

Make me feel like a Goddess! These are so comfy they don't even require breaking in! The look is also cute and versatile--fine for wearing on casual evenings. I bought these for a vacation in France and they were perfect through sightseeing and dinner. Don't worry about the lack of back strap, they stay secure.

The Shoe That Launched 1,000 Steps - I had a pair of Ecco's Cosmo sandals that lasted six blissful years. Sadly, in the intervening years Ecco updated the design and fit. Their new Cosmo II version doesn't work for me I have been on a mission to find a really confy sandal replacement all summer. Helen is very good. It looks good and is comfortable, but because it has no backstrap and can't be worn with socks (not often, but sometimes in the country) it is not as all-purpose as I'd like.

Like walking barefooted! I LOVE these shoes! This is my third pair--I bought the first on a friend's recommendation. They are great! I wear a 39 in European sizing and these are no exception, although I usually wear an 8 1/2 in American sized shoes

Mephisto sandal - Great shoes. I have the white/sky blue version and loved themn so much I ordered the black patent for a dressy version. They were great for sightseeing so that I wouldn't have to wera an ugly running shoe. Zappos is a top notch company too.

Mephisto Helen comfort - I really like this shoe, I had a previous pair, so knew what I was getting. I had forgotten the name of it, so was pleasantly surprised when it came up on Zappos. I had the shoe and the availablity. Thank you Zappos! The shoes are so comfortable,and fits so well, no "hangover".

Great - These shoes fit my feet perfectly. I love the unique blend of the two colors. I wish I had them in every color.

Review of Mephisto's Helen - The only shoes I ever wear are Mephistos. I have a collection of Helen's. These are so incredibly comfortable and fabulous, I can't wear another brand of shoes. I am a therapist and on my feet all day long, with an extremely active life. I have always had sensitive feet--years ago when I discovered Mephistos, I was so happy. This particular style is very easy to slip on and off and the way it is constructed (as all Mephistos) the entire body feels supported and grounded. Proper shoes are so important: the foundation of life. This is one of the only brand of shoes designed for the health of the body AND they are beautiful.

The Best! I must agree with other reviewers, this is best sandal I have ever worn. And that's saying a lot from a Birkenstock fanatic...Was worried about the toe thing as I have "sensitive" feet. No problem! The footbed is superior to my birks. What am I going to do with all my other sandals?

Best Arch Support - Before I found my first pair of Helen's about 6 years ago, I could no longer spend a full day in sandals. Now I can thanks to Mephistos.

Mephisto's Helen should be Mephisto's Heaven - From the 1st day of wear I fell in love with this shoe. Not only is the footbed the most comfortable--and better than any Birkenstock I own--but the straps do not rub and the leather is soft and supple. I comtemplated buying Mephisto's for years but was daunted by the price. Believe me, they are worth every penny and more. I am hooked on the brand. Thank you Zappos.

From the first time that I put these shoes on my feet they have been the greatest. I walked literally all over Europe the first summer that I bought them and I was never uncomfortable. It was a very hot summer and I found that my feet were always at maximum comfort. I would recommend them to anyone, but especially to people who have had trouble with their feet. My only wish is that they would make them in a wide width as well so that my daughter could benefit from their great comfort. My other daughter went to a foot doctor, whose recomendations did not help her. Since she purchased her first pair of Mephisto's Helen Sandals two years ago, she has not had any pain when she walks. My daughter-in-law was the first to recommend them to me. Everyone that I know who has them, swears by them.

Love them - I could walk forever in these sandals. Also, feet still look pretty in them. I tried on all kinds of Birkenstock-style shoes in many brands, and only these didn't make my feet look short and fat. The toe area is a little narrow (and I already have skinny feet!) but it doesn't bother me. Also, the sole starts to get that dark, sticky look quickly. Other than that, they are great and worth the money.

Great Sandal - This is the second pair of this shoe that I have bought. I have a very high arch and the support this shoe gives is wonderful!

Helen - It was great to be able to finally find this shoe in the camel nubuck. I had been looking for this particular color for months and was told it was no longer available. And what a surprise it was to have Zappos contact me let me know it was, in fact, available. Thank you Zappos!!!
