I love Mephisto Helen. They are just amazing in their comfort. These are my 2nd pair. If I could afford it I would buy them in every color.

I have a pair of Hannels I bought 3 years ago in size 38. So I ordered a 38 - but my toe was right at the edge and since there is a lip on the edge, it felt weird and didn't look right. So I am following the advice of Zappos and ordering the 39. I got the Grey Etna and what a beautiful dark pewter color. It has a beautiful texture and isn't hard like some patent finishes. So, what else is there to say about this sandal that hasn't already been said? It's a fantastic sandal!

These sandals are fabulous! I have terrible feet...arch pain, heel pain, ball of foot pain...and these sandals were absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I wore them right out of the box for several hours while shopping...not a single pain when I got home! They do run small, though. I usually wear a size 7 in other sandals but had to get an 8 (size 38) in these. (The 8s are a little "roomy" but the 7s were just too short.) Wonderful sandals...ordering more!

I love these sandals. I have lots of issues with my feet from running. These shoes feel great on. I love the style as well. Very cute and comfy.

I knew I wanted to buy a Mephisto Helen shoe but I didn't know what color or leather type. The site was very helpful and I bought a color That I had never seen and was very pleased. The shoes arrived in just a few days.

Saw a friend wearing these shoes and fell in love so I bought my own. The nubuck version is more comfortable than the shiny (hard) leather but I'm hoping that as time goes on the shiny leather will soften up more. All in all, I highly recommend this shoe as something that can be considered dressy but comfortable.

This new "metallic" Helen looks great and feels great! I should know, as this is my 8th pair I've purchased in about 10 years. And because of that history, I also know they are now slightly shorter. This means I had to return my size 41, which I've worn for nearly 10 years, and re-order a size 42. The arch support is also not as high. I probably wouldn't even know this if I didn't have my "old" Helens to compare them to. Still the best sandal/shoe I've ever worn for my high arches and my heels that 'burn' after a few hours on my feet. I will keep buying them, but why the changes?

I love this style of Mephistos. I have them in several colors. They are the most comfortable shoes ever! And they don't look like Birkenstock earth shoes. Although they are expensive, they are worth the treat.

Exchanged the Helen for the Helen Plus (wide) because my last two toes were touching the edge of the shoe. I don't typically buy wide shoes. The Helen Plus worked fine.

The best sandals ever. I have a very high arch and plantar fasciitis. I can wear these very comfortably.

I love, love, love these sandals. If I had enough money, I'd buy a pair in every color. Comfort is a large part of it, but they are also very stylish, especially for a comfort shoe. I may have to buy a couple more pairs.

I have been wearing the Helen's for years now. If I start having pain in my feet, I find a few hours wearing these will relieve the discomfort.

These are the greatest shoes ever! Only one problem - once you wear them, you will NOT want to wear anything else!

These sandals required about a 1-2 week breaking in period for me which is why I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 for comfort. Now that I have been regularly wearing them for several weeks, they are wonderfully comfortable and I can walk in them all day. As in many European shoes, I had to go up a size. I selected the Bronze color which goes with everything!

This is my second pair, after wearing the black ones daily for a year. I wear 8 1/2 or 9 AAA and bought Euro 39. A perfect fit with adjustable strap. The most comfortable ever and I have lots of foot trouble. I have always worn Merrells and Naot but Mephistos are 10 times better.

This is my second pair of Helens. A great shoe right out of the box, comfortable, versatile and a durable. Definitely worth the money; very well made. And of course, Zappos service is top notch.

I have approx 15 pairs of the Mephistos Helen-the only sandal I wear. As I write this, I have 3 at the Resoling shop getting repaired or a new sole from all the wear. I have a high arch and some arthritis, especially in my left foot. I've tried them all, and this particular style and make is the only one I wear from Spring till the first frost. In Texas, that's a long time. Enjoy them.

Wear a 5 and ordered a 5. This Helen fit perfect in length! Why do you say order up? It is a little narrow though. But not enough to return it. I put them on as soon as I got them, thinking maybe I would have to break them in. Not this sandal! I wore them for hours and they feel great with no problems! They are expensive but I think well worth the money and the quality will keep me in this shoe for years! Don't hesitate to order and order in your regular size. Just my opinion after getting mine! This is my third pair of Mephisto Helens in many years. They have soul/sole! My feet are happy and I feel very comfortable that I will not slip on our travels and adventures. They look great, too - I get compliments all the time.

Great sandal - I was very doubtful to purchase this sandal with the design that your big toe and next toe go between that bar, but I have to say it is a great comfortable shoe and that middle piece does not hurt at all. I love the high arch in the sandal too and how it molds to your own foot with that cork bed. it is worth the price!

The more colors the merrier - These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned, and they have the added benefit of making my wide feet look slender. I take them on all my trips, as they are comfortable for sightseeing and fashionable. They look good with casual attire, whether pants, shorts, dresses or skirts. After my initial purchase of a black patent pair, I have been purchasing a new colour each year. I recently purchased my 5th pair of Mephisto Helen sandals in turquoise (I also have fuschia, blue, tan and black patent). I look forward to seeing the new colours each year. I recommend them most highly.

Wonderful - These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I´m on my fifth pair of these and plan on ordering fiver more pair.

This is an extremely comfortable shoe with "Design Pizazz." The diagonal strap has a slimming effect on the leg. The high arch makes these shoes so comfortable that I wear them as slippers around the house, year round (with socks in the winter); along with outdoor wear in spring and summer.

Comfort and style in one sandal - I own a pair of Helen's that I purchased nearly a year ago. After wearing them day in and day out (living in southern California, this is possible) almost exclusively since then, they are every bit as wonderful as the day I first purchased them. Definitely well worth the investment. They will outlast any other sandal. And for comfort, they cannot be beat!
