Like another reviewer I am smaller in the waist and thicker through the butt/legs. No one makes stylish jeans for this body type (actually, I have had success with Buffalo). This is a great attempt by Levi's...the jeans fit my waist and legs and look stylish. However, I am on the shorter side (30" inseam) and the waist comes too high. So it looks a little awkward and grandpa-like for such a cool pair of jeans. Returning, but happy Levi's came so close.

I was looking for a pair of slim fitting jeans with a narrow hem i.e. not baggy. I can't wear skinny jeans as I can't get my thighs into them. These are perfect in that aspect but they are very loose in the seat/crotch area. Way too much excess denim which bunches when I sit down. The waist also has a weird elastic material which may suit some people. I tried the size down (waist 34) which was better but a little too tight in the seat/crotch area. The 511's are a better fit for me.

I like these pants. Good color. Very flexible to wear with different colors. I was interested in trying this cut because I wanted something that was not skinny, not baggy, in between. So this was exactly what I was looking for in the legs. But I find them a bit too tight if you have any items in your pocket. So because of that this'll be a one time purchase I'll have to look for a different cut next time.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought a pair in a store last year. They are awesome! These from Zappos are slightly different. They're much thinner, and have a spandexy stretchiness to them. They are slightly looser fitting in the waist than normal Levi's. I should have sent them back, but washed them before I noticed.

This version of the Levi's 508 is very poor quality. The fabric is thinner and looks cheap.
I have purchased previous versions in Europe, and they are almost completely different in fit, finish, and fabric quality.
How can two pairs of jeans with the same labels be so drastically different???!!!!

I would recommend ordering a size smaller than normal. But, I'm returning because the description as a taper to a skinny is complete false. Did not nearly fit as expected.

I'd avoid these if I were you. A few years ago I ordered a pair of these jeans in "Rigid Envy" color - still love them, among my favorite pants. Recently I ordered a pair of these in "Rinsed Playa" - same 508's, same size. The new pair are made out of some kind of stretch denim and look like "mom jeans" - very unflattering. Levis' can be hit or miss. Stick with 505's.

Awful jeans; ordered size 32 but more like size 36; Levis quality has gone down considerably; returning them and never buying Levis again; Zappos should do some quality check but least I can return them I hope!

I wore these jeans for about 3 days. I thought they looked good and they were pretty comfortable. Today I bent down and the entire knee ripped. If this is what I can expect from Levi's in terms of quality, I'm done. Honestly, I feel taken advantage of especially because most of their jeans have never lasted me long in the first place. I'm done wasting my money with Levi's.

These pants are made with some kind of stretchy material mixed with denim that is not mentioned in the description and fit much bigger than they should. I am very unhappy with my purchase.

I thought all Levi's jeans has standard size. I always buy 32 x 29 and never had a problem with the waist size before. This time I can slide my jeans without unbutton it.
