The Levis 508s are my favorite jeans on the market. They fit comfortably in the waist, with a very narrow taper below the knee. I own quite a few pairs, and the Rigid Envy is definitely the thickest material, especially compared the Rinsed Playa color (which is thinner and a bit more elastic). 508s are the perfect solution for folks who can't find a decent pair of pants that aren't incredibly baggy at the bottom and/or tight on the waist. As always, Zappos' shipping was fast!

I echo previous comments stating that these are great slim jeans for guys without skinny thighs (i.e., soccer players). They are fit, but not too tight, offering ample flexibility. Look great.

Great pants! Good fit for my son who has more of an athletic build to his thighs so skinny and slim fits don't work for him. Glad to have tried the 508. This gray color looks good, fabric is a little stiff but that might change in time.

I've owned dozens of different models of Levi's and none fit as well as the 508 on me. In fact, they're probably the only model of Levi's that has actually fit me great. Other models have either been too big in the legs or too tight in the waist, similar to how others have noted here. The only model that has ever come close to the 508 is the 513, although the 513 has a bigger leg opening and smaller waist (I have to size up with the 513, but not the 508.) I've literally been waiting on Levi's to make the 508 for 35 years and hope they never stop making them. My only gripe is that they need better colors and some heavier fabric weights. Note that these are not low-rise jeans. As noted above, the rise is 11", which is the same classic rise found on the 501. I don't know why Levi's calls it a low-rise jean, but it's not unusual for their descriptions to be wrong. That's great for me, because I don't like jeans with a low, or high, rise.

These are good pants. Modern fit, but not too tight in the seat & thighs like some of the other skinnier legged jeans. I've got several pair.

Love the fit. Not exactly skinny, but definitely slimmer and the tapered bottoms make then fit well with my over style (think canvas low tops and plaid shirts. I do need to lose a bit of weight, and as such they do get a little cramped in the inner thighs, but I blame that more on my excessive drinking than the fit of the jeans.

These are the perfect fit. While I have a solid build from ankle to waist, these jeans fit best without a lot of excess fabric and bagginess. I am always afraid that they will be discontinued, so I order two! Denim hoarder or not, I look great in these jeans when they are either dressed down with a sweatshirt and Chuck Taylor's or dressed up with a sport-coat and wing tips!

One of the best Levi's I own, they are like the 511's. The material is so soft and comfortable, you could sleep in them. They wash up nice, I use cold water on jeans, always did. But anyway, I have I think close to 10 pairs, a few the lite blue, the burgundy color, black, dark blue, beige or tan, grey, 3 different grey's, I just counted my 508's, I have 12 pairs, what does that tell you? I have so many because they are hard to find in this area or if you try to order from Levis.com , they are sold out of your size, I wear a 30-30 or 30-31 or whatever I can get my hands on. All I can say is buy a pair and you'll see what I mean, they are so cool and are true to your fit and look great. Good luck shopping and enjoy!

I stumbled into these 508s a year ago by chance. I tried them on an could not believe what a great fit the 508s are. They are now my favorite pair of jeans and I have half a dozen of them in different colors. My only problem with Levi's that, despite of newspaper page size info labels the color of that particular model is not on any of the labels. This way it is hard to tell what color I want to order. The 508 washes well, does not shrink significantly and does not fade fast. Suggestion: jeans pockets should have a snap inside to partition the packet for better cell phone positioning. An iPhone always feels (and looks) like a brick sitting horizontal in my pocket.

These are the ones. I finally found them! Like many people have stated before. I could never find a great pair of jeans that fit my legs without them being baggy and or having enormous leg openings (like bell bottoms). I tried the 514's but to no avail. The only way to get the reasonable leg cut and openings I wanted was to go for skinny jeans--but they were way too small and made me look like I was either wearing girl jeans, "going emo", shrank my jeans, or all three. None of these were attractive looks IMO. The 508's are the perfect modern jean that make you look good and feel good without cutting off your circulation in the process. I bought the "Blue 2" and they can dress up fairly easily, especially when you have a great Oxford or boot. Word of caution; many people buy pants that are way too baggy in part because they don't want to look like Steve Urkel. But with the 508's you want them to be just long enough that they settle gracefully on the topline of your footwear. Just look at the Zappos photos and you'll understand what I mean. So I'm 6'0" and I would usually get an inseam of 32 or 34 but with the 508's I got a 30. Long story short, if you are in a similar situation like me and many others, don't be on the fence about these jeans, buy them, you'll love them!

My new favorite jean! Great look ("Rigid Envy" color), and I love how these have a tailored fit without being restrictive at all. I'm 6'4", 200 lbs. I used to wear BanRep brand pants and jeans, but recently they've become ill-fitting. These Levi's are the solution.

Great fit! True to sizing. So good to find a pair of more stylishly fitting jeans for a bigger guy like myself. Loose fit, etc. are just too HUGE once you get into larger sizes (Waist 38-40) These look great on, and feel good too.

I love these jeans. My thighs have always been way bigger than my calves, which makes buying jeans that fit well a challenge. These jeans, however, fit absolutely perfectly. Not too loose, not too tight, but nice and fitted all the way down. I want these jeans to be around forever.

Fits well! I have fairly large thighs on the count of being a soccer player, and these levis are not only comfortable but also give it a slim look as it tapers down to the bottom.

Ever since I bought my first pair of Levi's jeans several years ago, I have been trying to find the perfect pair that would be comfortable around my legs and not drag when I wear Vans. I tried 514s that gave my lower body a lot of breathing room but were too long to be worn with low cut sneakers. 511s became my next option. They made it possible for me to wear Vans without having to worry about the jeans dragging against the ground by they fit too close for comfort (literally), especially with my semi-husky frame. Please keep in mind I am 5'8" and weigh 185 pounds. I did a bit of research and came across 508s. After trying on a pair at the mall, I instantly thought that I had finally found the perfect pair of jeans. 508s provide comfort for those with muscular/big legs while tapering down in the lower legs to negate any problems with dragging. I ordered a pair in my usual size (34x29) and they fit perfectly. Respect and kudos to Zappos for having the 508s in stock in Rigid Envy and 34x29.

These jeans are perfect for me. Just like some of the reviewers, I am a former hockey player, so I have pretty thick legs even though I am not too tall. These jeans fit me very well and they are very affordable. For the dark denim, the tapered cut gives it a fitted look that goes well when I'm going for a more dressed up look. There is plenty of room around the crotch which makes them very comfortable and perfect for everyday situations.

I love the Levi's 508 cut. Slim cut and a tapered but not insanely tapered leg opening. The only problem is with the black ones (tazer?) - they're not regular denim. They're inexplicably stretch denim. You may want to consider getting a waist size smaller than you would normally wear.

Finally I find a tapered pair of jeans that fit! I am 6'2 and weigh roughly 190 lbs. with enormous thighs and a small 32" waist. It has been nearly impossible for me to find a pair of fitted jeans that fit me in the waist without them skin-tight in the thigh and or can even pull over my thighs. I ordered these in a size 34" waist because I was worried the 32s thigh region might be too tight. The 34s fit very nice throughout the thigh area so I just went ahead and ordered another pair in my actual size (praying they fit as good throughout the thighs!). Expect these jeans to sit a bit low on the waist. My only complaint would be that the material is a bit thin so I question the longevity of this style but other than that, they look and feel great. I can't wait for more washes to restock in my size. I will forever be faithful to 501 STFs but if I'm looking to wear something a bit more fitted, these will definitely be my go-to.

Very nice item from Levi. Perfectly tapered, these pants will not disappoint. Modern fit will guarantee compliments wherever you go. The only issue is that these pants are a major lint magnet. I have to lint roll every time I put them on. Of course, this isn't a huge issue as it's definitely worth the effort.

These jeans are the best. Simple as that. I have BIG muscley thighs, and in the winter I kind of just have big thighs. If you have big thighs and wang jeans with style, these are them. Size down one in the waist and buy a pair before I buy them all.

Great fit for built tall guys like myself. Being 6'6 makes it hard to fine jeans in my length but they had them! Also the taper fit makes casual wear look really good. No more baggy jeans for me.

These are the perfect jeans. I dare you to look in the mirror and tell yourself that you do not need a quality pair of black jeans. See you cannot! These jeans are wonderful! I could not be happier.

The best jeans I've ever bought. These fit my body type perfectly and are really durable. I needed something that was in between skinny and regular fit, so these worked out perfectly. They also look great with most types of shoes.

Love the Men's 508 jeans! Ordered 3 different colors. Two of the three fit well, third color (all the same size) did not. They are super comfortable and the stretch really helps!
