I ordered a size up as previous reviews suggested. They were right, length is great, but the width and space over the instep is too loose for real walking on european trips and around town. Am disappointed as have 2 pairs of l'Artiste mules from several years ago which are still in good shape.

I wanted to try these for the longest time, because I thought they were so cute, so I finally ordered them, and....no. First of all, they ARE cute, but the large elastic insert which I assume is supposed to help them to fit, doesn't do much good at all, because they're terribly wide. Also, I need a shoe that offers support, which is why I usually buy clogs, but these offer little support. In fact, they are rather pillowy. Squashy. Almost more like slippers than shoes. Cute as they are, they are not for me.

These shoes were just odd. The leather is a bit funky, and when I put them on and walked around they CRUNCHED! Seems to have something to do with the footbed lining. They didn't want to stay on either. You slid your foot in, and as you walked it wanted to shoot off the front. Very boxy, and I even have pretty wide feet. No go for a clog. They also weren't as cute in person as they are in the photos, just seemed kind of poorly executed. Back they go.

Cute clog, but so small my foot wouldn't even go in. Odd. All my other L'Artiste shoes fit beautifully.

Cute shoes, wrong color sent... and 39 is too big! 38 is too small!

Wayyyyy too small. I couldn't even get the shoe on so have no comments about comfort. I am a true 8 and ordered the 38 because metric sizes usually seem to fit a bit large. Not these. They looked more like a 6 to me and there was literally an inch of my foot that couldn't get onto the shoe.

Not enough arch support for my liking and insufficient padding underneath the ball of my foot. Gorgeous clog in red -- which it would have worked for me!

Super cute, but way too small!

The shoes are very cute, but they are green, not blue. I ordered a larger size, but apparently not large enough.

Pretty design but runs narrow. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel. The area where the elastic goring is stretched nicely, but the very front where my toes were was too narrow and tight, even with bare feet. Next size up would have been too long. They look a little goofy/dorky on, because the entire forefoot turns up like a clown shoe.

These shoes are gorgeous! They are well made and comfortable. Unfortunately, I ordered the blue. The color of this beautiful shoe looks NOTHING like the photo. The leather is more green than blue. Quite a bit more. I wish I needed a pair of green shoes. I would keep them. But I really want a pair of blue shoes. *sigh*

I love this style. Have been buying the Chino for years. The most comfortable clog out there! But it seems they have changed their manufacturer - 2 pairs in a row the bottom footbed lining came unglued. During the first day no less. And caused blisters galore. Took the first pair to shoe repair and it didn't help. The lining just wont lie flat. Kindly Zappos sent me the second pair no charge, but the same thing happened again. SO now I have two pairs that are uncomfortable and I can barely wear for more than 2 hours. Hate it when that happens - you find a product you love and they go and get cheap on the fabrication. C'mon Spring Step - Step up to the plate!

Very cute and sassy, but didn't conform to my foot and both soles creaked when I walked. Returning them.

The shoe is very cute; however, beware - one of mine arrived with the insole not glued down properly, so the shoe squeaked when I walked in it. So, it's going back. Also, the edges of the shoe are not as finished as I would have liked them. It's just cut leather (no stitching) if that makes any sense. For the money, I think I would have been better off with Dansko, Sofft or Algeria.

I was disappointed because this shoe is so beautiful, but it was just too uncomfortable for me, due to the lack of width in the bunion area and the lack of arch support. I'm so sad to be returning them.

I was excited about buying these shoes because they look cute and different. It was a big disappointment to find out that a good portion of my heel sticks out. I wear a 7.5 - 8 and now I find myself not knowing what size I should order upon return. This pair is small that it seems that it was mislabeled at the factory. The quality and feel of the shoe is fine and the width is okay, except that this pair of 38 is too small. It is a very cute shoe. Now guessing game begins as to what size I should order. I ordered the red color and they are definitely nice looking.

Very cushy footbed but not a lot of arch support. I was expecting these to be a lot cuter, frankly, they're just ugly. I didn't even consider keeping them once I put them on. Even if they'd been the most comfortable clogs ever created, I'd still return them due to the ugly factor.

These shoes are cute but clunky. I mean they literally go clunk, clunk, clunk when you walk. I decided I didn't want to hear myself coming and going for the next year so I'm returning them. Bummer. Oh yeah, and Zappos is awesome!

This is the second pair of these shoes I have purchased. I loved the first pair so much I wore them out. The new shoes are a perfect fit and still have the same cushioned foot bed but, so sad the the artistic embellishment is not completely painted....that's really what makes these shoes unique.

The fit was not right, too small, tight and uncomfortable.

I wear a size 8 in shoes or 38. I ordered this shoe in a size 38 and barely could get my foot in it. I believe I need to go up to a 39 but since the 38 was so off, I will not order it in a 39 because I don't want to take a chance on having to send two pair of shoes back because of the fit.

Ugh. That was the first word out of my mouth when they came out of the box. They look, feel and wear cheap....They don't feel or look like real leather. I wore them across the living room and they squeaked and moaned with every step. The soles are cheap, too. They run small for sure. Shame. They looked so cute online. I'm done with this brand.

Wanted to love these, but the leather is very stiff. There is nothing comfortable about these shoes. Also, I have a tender top arch and these appeared to be soft there with an elastic, but the leather is so stiff that the shoe hurts the top of my arch.

What a disappointment for such a beautiful shoe. Being too small is an easy fix but I wouldn't re-order after I returned them because they were so incredibly noisy! They clicked and clacked all over the place and it was so loud. I don't know if I just had a faulty pair but I wouldn't order these shoes again because of it. The look and style of the shoe is even better in person but I've never tried on such a noisy pair of shoes before.
